Perhaps, they were "Doing things" to try and prevent your dogs death. Would you rather they did nothing? Medical Doctors "Do Things" to try and prolong a humans life. At times it is the Humans Doctors best guess based on the condition of the human patient. Have you heard the term "Practicing Medical Doctor?" They learn each day how to provide the best care they can. As does Animal Veterinarians. If the job was easy anyone could do it,.. aye. The death of any pet is hard to take. In your case your Dog was a service Dog. But, none the less, a canine animal. As such, the animal cannot communicate to advise the Vet. of any problems. So, at times like this a Vet. must "Do things" to try and treat the Dog. Wife and I have taken our Dogs the Suwannee Oaks since 1983. They have taken very good care of our Dogs without us having to take a second mortgage out on our house. When our Dogs reached the Rainbow Bridge these Vets. helped our Dogs go to the other side with the compassion one would have for a Humanbeing. Jan G., very sorry for your loss, however, your posts, I am afraid, are way off base. Bernie O. Lake City, Fl.

She put me on hold and came back and said she had no appointments this Friday June 17 nor on Saturday. I then asked if there were any appointments next week and she replied no and hung up mid conversation. I called back and spoke with the manager and was told the incident would be addressed. The person hanging up was not only rude, but represented the business poorly. This was my first and last call to this business because apparently they don't need or value new customers!

We took our kitten, Remy, in to get a standard neuter. When we picked him up, he was groggy which is to be expected. He stayed groggy for 2 more whole days. That 3rd day, we woke up and he was dead. He was perfectly healthy before this. When I called the office, they were very cold about what I had to say and I did NOT blame them or anyone there. They said they would cremate him for $40. So thats what I did. When I brought Remy's body in to the practice, I paid the lady in the front and they took the box into a room. Never once was I offered to see a vet, or offered condolences, or any shred of kindness. Did they kill my cat? I don't know, but I do know if he hadn't gone in for the neuter he'd still be alive.

That very hard moment was made so much worse by the way those young people treated me. They didn't know the full story, that I had been force feeding him for months, and that I couldn't do it anymore. When I returned to bring his meds back one of the hateful girls glared at me, and wouldn't even speak to me when I asked about a refund of the unused portion of medication. I saw her whisper something to another one of the girls behind the counter, then I got a glare of hateful judgment from her too. I will never return to this vet office. Mr. Buck Davis and his staff would have never treated us this way during what was one of the most painful times in our lives. I have tried to be kind, but I DO NOT recommend this vet office or it's staff (due to unprofessional treatment by it's emplyees) to any other pet parents.

We cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care, dedication, and expertise she provided in saving our beloved Irish Setter, Seamus. After months of frustration, misdiagnoses, and heartbreak with other veterinarians, Dr. McNeil stepped in and performed nothing short of a miracle. For five long months, Seamus suffered from a range of life-threatening health issues that other vets either overlooked or failed to treat properly. Despite numerous visits to our Washington State his condition only worsened, and we were losing hope. That all changed when we drove 3,000 miles back to our Vet of 25 years in Georgia, Dr. McNeil's Lake Park office. From the moment our appointment with Dr. McNeil and her assistant Madison began it was clear that she was the true healer and gentle caring person we have loved over the decades with an unmatched level of skill, patience, and compassion. Unlike previous vets, Dr. McNeil took the time to listen, to ask the right questions, and to thoroughly examine every aspect of Seamus's health. Where others had missed crucial signs, she connected the dots. With a level of precision and determination that can only come from years of experience and a deep passion for animal care, she devised a comprehensive treatment plan that finally put Seamus on the road to recovery. Her medical knowledge is extraordinary, but what truly sets Dr. McNeil apart is her heart. She treated Seamus as if he were her own dog, showing endless patience and kindness throughout the process. She explained every step of the treatment in detail, ensuring we understood exactly what was happening and why. Every phone call, every update, and every reassurance was delivered with genuine care. Today, Seamus is not just surviving--he is thriving. His energy has returned, his personality has blossomed once again, and we have our happy, playful Irish Setter back, all thanks to Dr. McNeil. We have no doubt that she saved his life, and for that, we will be forever grateful. If you are looking for a veterinarian who is thorough, compassionate, and truly brilliant at what she does, look no further than Dr. Leah McNeil. She is, without question, the best in her field. Dr. McNeil, from the bottom of our hearts--thank you. You are a lifesaver in every sense of the word.
