One of the aides, Lasey, goes above and beyond. She doesn't leave until she knows you're okay and consistently checks on you. She has a calming presence and helps clients who are really struggling find peace and comfort. Can't say enough about Ms. Kara is the person who runs the show. She may sit at the front desk, but she will also become one of your biggest advocates. When she tells you she cares about you or says, "I got you," she truly means it. She wants you to succeed and move forward into a better life. I remember showing up one day, and she told me how pretty I looked and that she was proud of me. She was proud of me and then wrapped me in one of her giant Kara hugs. Even though I mentioned two people specifically, all of the staff are caring and supportive. They won't let you feel sorry for yourself, but they will help you recognize the direction you need to go and encourage you every step of the way. This place and its staff truly helped save me from my depression. Ms. Kara says this isn't your first home, but your second home, and that really reflects how they make you feel. They also offer TMS, and for me it has been a complete game changer. If you are considering getting help for yourself or a loved one, make the call and take that step. I was skeptical, but Shaheedra, my therapist, made all of the inhibitions diminish instantly. She was AMAZING! I wish I could say the same for management (specifically Aisha Holman). Although she is the business owner, she has exhibited some skeptical billing practices...to the point of being unethical and illegal. If you are a client, please keep a watchful eye on your billing. My therapist can attest, I paid my copay after each session to keep my balance at $0. My bank account was charged an unauthorized payment of almost $700. After inquiring with my insurance company, Aisha processed insurance claims and charged me full price after accepting my copays for several dates of service. She eventually responded on the portal stating I signed a form expressing I had insurance but wanted to be charged as a self-pay client. She also said I signed a consent form for the practice to charge my card without further authorization. How ridiculous does that sound? I signed no such form. Aisha refused to process the claim through my insurance and refund the payment. I have repeatedly requested a call, a copy of the signed form, and a refund. She does not respond. There were other fraudulent instances, but I can't go into details as this may be pending litigation. I have since reported this practice to the proper regulating board. If you are considering this business, I suggest you rethink it. I know other clients have been affected as I have spoken to at least one other. Please report any questionable activity. She has to stop taking advantage of clients seeking therapy!

My partner and I went in and after the first session I knew I found someone special. She was very different than anyone I had seen before... Now let me back up. Previously, my experience with therapists always left me with the feeling that they were simply my personal paid cheerleaders. Yay me!!! They would pet me (ummm.. metaphorically), smile and nod, make all my feelings about life feel validated, give me a sucker and send me off into the world freshly stroked. Rinse. Repeat the following week. I didn't hate that. Enter Amy G. She took my sucker, tossed it aside and put a mirror in front of me. Then she made me look. WTF??? Ugh!!! She's making me DO THINGS!?!? Yeah ok... that didn't literally happen but that's pretty much how I felt. Was it scary? Hell yes. Did it need to happen? Yes, it certainly did. I never knew how much I needed a good hard look at myself. She is authentic AF. Honest and forthright. She will dig deep. She will challenge you. She will find things buried that you don't even remember hiding. Then she will make you look at it. Hard. You will confront it and it will be a bit daunting... and then.. It won't. Before you know it she's rinsing off your sucker and giving it back to you with a smile... and sometimes a joke (Yes, she cleans you out emotionally then can still make you laugh.
