Scam scam scam. Pay 15,000 dollars for some certificate that is irrelevant. It's a waste of money.

She's an experienced nurse and doesn't hesitate to share the good and bad side to mold us in this career. She teaches so much more than the text book and thats what makes her so unique. She also teaches us in a way that makes it easy to understand the material. I have gained so much knowledge within this short period of time. I'll definitely recommend the school and all. Thank you Ms Candice

Their holistic approach equips you with the know how as well enabling you with the professional compasion to provide exemplary patient care. Their program gave me the credentials needed to land a great job at a physical rehabilitation hospital even though I lacked clinical experience. The program also gave me a complete foundation to build toward an RN-BSN. I would highly recommend the program at Career Training Center of Chicago. It's afforadble - with flexible payment options. It's a concise, concentrated program that will get you quickly into the medical field. It's in depth, high quality, and comprehensive which will put you a cut above other CNAs. And it provides a great foundation to build from if you wish to pursue nursing or other allied health fields. They easily earn 5 stars.

The staff were super friendly - the building is a bit of a maze, but staff were kind to answer any questions. There is also a huge green house and outdoor garden which provided a lovely ambiance. I attended my training in one of the classrooms and it was spacious, temperature was actually good and the technology was up to date. They also have a cafeteria but I'm not sure what they serve. There are also some fast food places nearby for lunch. I would definitely come back here for any type of trainings.

Working the PODS as we call them, I was able to be point person in several aspects of the distribution of the pandemic vaccines. Arturo Velasquez is definitely a front runner when it comes to location. Unfortunately it can "only" accommodate 300 people a day due to the gym size and guidelines for bringing people in for vaccines. Worked here for a few months and loved working with the general public also, but alas, the city only can stay at this location so long before we had to return to our regular jobs. But with so much effort, AVI (Arturo Velasquez Institute) was able to let us share our experience in running a POD during a pandemic. The school is beautiful and who knows, I may come back after all of this pandemic and take a class or two. Be safe everyone, and get vaccinated!

This was not just an art exhibition; it was a wonderful celebration of AANHPI Heritage Month! The exhibition was professionally and tightly curated by Yidi Wang in their "Gallery 1701" that's on the second floor of CHICAT.  It was nicely lit with lots of natural light.  There was artwork with many different media. It was a beautiful space and show!  I also appreciated their mission!  The "Where Our Voices Unite" show runs from May 21st  to June 8th, 2026. All the staff including the curator Yidi Wang were very welcoming.  It was a nice surprise that we were served a delicious buffet with abundance of Asian dishes and fruits!  I have been to many art openings, but have never seen so much food in any of them before.  Wine and beverages were also served.  There were many large nicely table-clothed tables that we could seat ourselves.  It was literally a celebrative gathering for the AANHPI Heritage Month! It was nice that the 11th Ward Alderwoman Nicole Lee was a special guest and made a short speech.  The Executive Director Tina and two other directors also made a brief speech. CHICAT is a non-profit that is "building a community where creativity fuels enterprise", and is worth our support.

There's a lot of black talent in Chicago and I'm so proud of her for this honor!

Not only does he do the training but he (and Julie) goes the extra mile by helping each and every student get a job in the medical field after they graduate. One caveat here, there is no such thing as a guaranteed job! Nobody can offer you that. So the graduate MUST be flexible in regards to where they're going to work, which might mean traveling to a location that is out of the way or working inconvenient hours in order to be flexible. But once you get that experience you'll have a much better chance of getting a better position in the future. John is a man of many talents, he recruits, trains and places students in a field where there is currently a limited shortage. Both him and Julie are approachable and open to helping anybody who has a serious commitment for entering the medical field. So if you're currently unemployed seeking a fulfilling position in the medical field go see John and Julie Ocansey at AIPS, you'll be glad you did!
