I found Dr. Long when I first moved back to L.A. in the early 90's. I felt so lucky to find her…read morebecause she 1) was funny/put me at ease instantly, 2) told it like it was (no drama), and 3) was incredibly smart (always able to give the full story on any option I was considering -- never, ever felt like she was anything less than supremely informed), and 4) was just a lovely person (not even slightly cold or doctorly -- more like mother earthy without the crunchy granola). When her office stopped taking insurance I was devestated because I couldn't afford it. I had many years of not so great, not so bad experiences which culminated in one horrid experience where the doctor was saying I needed to have a biopsy. In my heart of hearts I knew this was not necessary, but wanted to hear it from the Truth Teller, Toni Long! So, I called her Santa Monica office and clenched my teeth as I asked how much a cash visit would cost. Then somehow, online MIRACULOUSLY I found that Dr. Long has a SECOND OFFICE in Indian Wells where she would be soon taking my insurance. I waited, made an appointment and just had the best gyno visit of my life with her a couple of weeks ago. She went over ALL my records for the last several years, and addressed each and every issue -- meticulously and with great care -- that the previous ob/gyn had botched. If you want a gynocologist who will tell you like it is, who will give you the most educated and loving care you could possibly want, and who will give you a few laughs to take the edge off of the uncomfortability inherent in gynecological issues/visits/concerns, you have found your woman here. And, she looks exactly the same as she did when I last saw her about 12 years ago, to boot! She is just lovely all the way through. I can't more highly recommend an ob/gyn....and I've had many! P.S. I live almost two hours away from Indian Wells, but the drive is lovely and if you're only going once a year you can make a little adventure of it if you, too, are far away. If you live in Santa Monica, then she is in your back yard and you shouldn't even blink with hesitation if you are looking for a great gyno!

I came with complaints of pains & problems & fear of what it all means. A culture was taken & an ultra sound scheduled. Fearful of the results & their meaning I expected the doctor to call & explain my results & offer solutions. NO call EVER came, requests for calls went unanswered & request that the partner doc call, also went unanswered. The FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST read my results & gave them to me. Is that even legal? The doctor does not know that people worry about their results & need to learn what is going on as soon as possible. May be she knows, but does not care? I do not know what is worse to be heartless or lack in any compassion. Hopefully the doctor I am seeing tomorrow did not miss the class on basic humanity.

I cannot say enough about him and also his team. He is a very talented surgeon, he is precise, he is no nonsense, he is exactly who you should trust with very precious assets (yourself!). And he is also not a schmoozy / gross LA plastics guy (ugh, they are so gross!) who is just after your money... His team of office mgmt and nurses are so kind and helpful and good at their jobs. I live in Santa Monica and Palm Springs, so I see them in both offices. I trust them all implicitly due to the skills and care they provide, but I also like them very much as people. Dr Hayduke is very honest and no nonsense. mad respect for him.

I needed to have a capsulectomy (en bloc) to remove breast implants. I was referred by my insurance…read moreto Dr Hayduke and I was happy to pay for anything extra if needed. Hayduke proceeded to tell me how awful my breast would look after en bloc if I didn't have new implants added. My breast still look good even though I've had these silicone breast implants for 36 yrs and they're capsulated and need them out. I've read a lot about BII (Breast implant illness) and I believe I have some of the symptoms. I had planned to have a lift but to tell a patient they will look awful if they don't get new implants is rude and extremely unprofessional. To add injury to insult, because I didn't want to replace implants, Hayduke told me I could go to a teaching school to have implants removed to save cost. I never said this was about cost, it was about finding a surgeon experienced doing en bloc who didn't push new implants and say without them you'll look awful! I felt disrespected and left his office feeling humiliated and upset. I notice he has some good reviews but if you ever need to get implants removed and not replaced he is not your guy!! This is a quote from Dr Hayduke on his site... "Removing old breast implants without replacement with a new pair of implants is sometimes similar to removing a pillow from a pillow case. The left over appearance (just the pillow case without the pillow) can be quite unsightly." Such a classless way to describe it. I understand we deserve the truth but this kind of truth is harsh and it's NOT TRUE! I've seen 100s of photos of women on the BII site that did not have breast implants replaced and they look great! What Hayduke doesn't seem to understand or want you to know is that thousands of women are having implants removed by excellent plastic surgeons that understand what BII is. They know after explant there's healthy choices that will enhance breast. Some women can let their breast fluff on their own and they look great, some get a lift, some get fat transfer, and some are just happy to get their toxic implants out! Always best to research for an honest surgeon that isn't out to sell you something you don't need and that's not in your best interest.

This was a very complex surgery and Dr. Soppe stressed that I would require extensive and outstanding physical therapy. He enthusiastically and without hesitation, recommended Dr. Phil Herel. Six weeks after my surgery I visited Phil for an initial consultation/evaluation. I knew immediately that I could trust this gentleman to rehabilitate my shoulder. He was not only interested in me, clinically, but was also interested in my well being as a person. Phil designed a therapy program specifically tailored to my needs. He recognized that I needed a hands-on approach and thus (thankfully) no ultrasound or other electric devices are used. Phil works with his hands and his mind. As well, the office is immaculately clean, bright and his assistant, Monica, is as nice as can be. They are a great team. It took only a few visits to see improvement in my level of pain and my range of motion. Phil makes me work hard but the payoff is a great result. I never believed that I would feel well enough to drive and get back to a near-normal life so soon after this dramatic operation. Kudos to Phil Herel. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a superb physical therapist.
