Dr. Chen is truly all about helping others heal. I honestly feel she went into this business solely with the mission of helping anyone and everyone she possibly could. I feel she keeps costs low with enough to pay the bills. She also does everything on her own instead of hiring someone in order to keep the costs low to help others. She seems like she has the system running well but if you ever call and she doesn't answer or if she's ever running behind (which she never is with me), please keep this in mind and be patient with her. I think she eats only if there's some time in the schedule. She also accepts insurance! Imagine having to take care of all that paperwork on your own? She's very sweet and caring. Her English is a bit limited but she knows enough to be able to treat you when you explain your symptoms. If you speak mandarin, then you will have no problem. She treats you for an hour and sometimes even goes over, depending. She does some massaging if necessary and rubs a strong heating ointment after if needed. I don't know any Accupuncturists who do that. I love it. I've seen probably about 10 accupuncturists in my life. Every one is different. She's one of my favorites, mostly because of her care. You not only feel better over time, you feel good because of the care you receive from her. She doesn't use those machines that stimulate each needle (I've learned that's bad for you), so I'm glad she doesn't practice that. She does use the red light. She has helped my son with what was diagnosed as juvenile idiosyncratic arthritis. They said he needed steroid shots. She asked me to try Accupuncture with her and see how it helps. The pain and swelling went down. I'm so thankful for her. She has you fill out paperwork. She takes time to talk to you and evaluate you on your initial visit and then she gives you advice on what to do in your daily life to feel better. Then she gets down to business. I was trying to find an affordable acupuncture place, but although this place was affordable, my experience was terrible. I regret it! I went in because I developed trigger finger in my left ring finger and in my right thumb. I should've left when the lady said she didn't know how to treat them, but she would try. She proceeded to insert, more like jab, a needle at the base of the palm of my hand and the pain was excruciating. For some reason, I felt the pain in the center of my palm. I had her quickly remove it. She then proceeded to insert two more needles on the side of my palm which once again caused intense pain, but I thought the pain I felt at the moment would bring relief to the daily pain I was already feeling. Still, I had her remove those when the pain wouldn't go away. Then she said she would let my right hand rest while she would try the left ring finger. I agreed. Suddenly, she inserted a needle right at the side of my finger and I cried out in pain. I couldn't take it anymore. I quickly told her to pull it out and got up to leave. She looked surprised. I was in so much pain that I couldn't even talk and just left. Don't worry I did not leave without paying. I had to pay before I went in to see her. The moral of the story...when someone says they' are not sure how to treat something, but they'll try, realize that they do not know what they are doing! read more

Really nice lady and very passionate about her work. Often times with chiropractic and acupuncture they do a quick assessment and do their business. She discussed with me her years of study but I forget the details because it was a while back. Dr. Chen is very thorough and takes her time discussing the process and just being very friendly in general. Might have been because we're both Taiwanese Hehe. Dr. Chen is such a sweet, caring person. Great Customer Service! The receptionist is very kind and attentive. He answered all my questions. Dr. Chen explained to us the procedure and time of the procedure. I took my father-in-law for severe headaches and pain on his right eye, his eye was completely shut. He had been to the doctor so many times and doctors could not help manage the pain. My father in law felt immediate relief when the needles where inserted. Dr. Chen placed a red light where his pain was concentrated. She would check on him every 15 minutes . She takes her time, does not rush thru the process. After 30 minutes she check and asked him how he was feeling. And after he told Dr. Chen he felt immediate relief, she said I will lave the needles in for more time since its helping him. That showed us she truly cares of her patients well being. She massaged my father in laws face and eye area. My father in law felt so much better, from a scale of 10 his pain went down to a 3 and said he was a believer in acupuncture now We will be returning to her office in 3 days for another session. The doctor and staff are nice although it can be hard to understand their English. My first session went great. I was able to feel some pain relief right away. The second session was the same until a day later some pain came back. Next week I have one more session left with my Groupon so I really hope I get more relief. Let me first begin by saying Dr. Chen's office is on the third floor of the building that appears to be an apartment. Her office is room 309. A banner hangs over the railing in front of her room, so you can't miss it. Dr. Chen is a cheerful woman who seems to love her practice. She treats every patient with care and devotes her full attention to their needs. I would suggest you get there a few minutes before your appointment to fill out paperwork regarding your condition(s). I arrived about 10 minutes prior to my appointment time and filled out a checklist/questions about my health history. Once Dr. Chen received my paperwork, she'll called me into her office, took my blood pressure, and examined my tongue. After, we went into a different room where she had me lay face down as she prepared needles to place in my lower back and behind my neck. (Position and needle placement will depend on your condition.) She placed heat lamps around my focus area and I think I laid there for about 45 min. Although laying faced down caused me to have nasal congestion, I was feeling relaxed and pain-free. Finally, Dr. Chen massaged me with something similar to Bengay. I want to Dr. Jui Lien Chen for the first time the on 3/29/17 and had the most wonderful, relaxing and zen experience. She is a very skilled and caring professional and for an entire hour, with all those needles in me and the cool soft music and the nice herbal smell, I basically felt like I was 'floating'. I went to see Dr. Chen for my shoulder pain on 07/09/2018. This was my first time ever doing acupuncture. I was nervous but Dr. Chen is so nice and friendly and very informative. She made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I must say that not knowing what to expect, I left her office with a new found appreciation for her craft.
