I cannot recommend HWLM Ranch based on my experience. I left deeply concerned about both the condition of the animals and the overall environment for children. From what I personally observed, the care and welfare of the animals did not meet the standard I expected. The conditions raised serious concerns for me, and I left feeling that their well-being was not being properly prioritized. I also would not consider this a place I would feel comfortable bringing children. My experience with the staff and management was disappointing. I found interactions to be dismissive and unprofessional, and when concerns were raised, I did not feel they were taken seriously. I believe any business that welcomes families has a responsibility to provide a safe, respectful environment while ensuring animals receive proper care. Unfortunately, that was not the impression I walked away with. She is knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about what she does, and it shows in every interaction. I trust her completely and have full confidence in the way she teaches and cares for those who come through the program. Great place for your kids to learn horsemanship and great place for your horses learn. The kids learn so much and enjoy the challenge of breaking and riding horses. It teaches them responsibility, quick, thinking, determination, teamwork, confidence, and how to work hard. My kids have all gone through the mustang program and I have watched them grow before my eyes in discipline and self control. We board our horse out there and are involved in volunteer days and many other activities that are so rewarding and educational. The ranch is my kids' second home and they love it! read more
