The pump that we were on spewed gas everywhere. We told him and he refused to give the full amount back. Then, we simply asked to transfer the gas to the other pump and he refused to give the amount of gas back that was wasted on the ground. We had to go back in the gas station several times because he continuously acted like he didn't understand what the problem was when it was thoroughly and clearly explained. He was rude and argumentative! He began to pretend that he didn't understand the language, but since he was the only one out front, it was crystal clear that his employer knew that he understood everything very well! He argued and acted like we were trying to take more than we paid for at the pump. It was only less than $2 that he needed to give back!!! We had another place to go and be on time. He cost us at least an extra 20 minutes of time that we should've had to eat and relax. We also had on our Sunday-go-meeting clothes, and ladies, you all know how uncomfortable that can be sometimes. It was 100 degrees!! We were burning up, and that guy made us walk in and out of that gas station over FOUR times, back and forth over LESS THAN $2!! He knew that all he had to do was add it back to the other pump that he told us to move our car over to at that time. He also did not offer any receipt. ALWAYS get a gas receipt there if you just have nowhere else to go besides this awful place. We tried to get receipts at the pump, there was no paper in the machine at the pump for the receipt to be printed on either. It seems that this employee was having a very bad day and was looking for the first customer with any issue that he could take it out on. Horrible experience!!!

The service was friendly enough and I would say that it was an overall positive experience. If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend this particular Love's Travel Stop.

Love's is probably my favorite truck stop outside of a Buc-ee's, though I also dig TA, QT and Pilot. Love's has good road coffee. Probably my favorite. That's important. Not badly priced and huge cups too. Me likee. In addition to clean restrooms, the coffee area is also kept clean here. This is also important as I'm sure it gets a regular workout. I can only speak to the coffee and the restrooms here. Alas, the trinkets and tchotchkes within are also terrific. Lots to look at as you sip your piping hot caffeinated beverage and contemplate the literal and maybe even metaphorical road ahead.

The prices for snacks, drinks, etc. are just like any other store of this caliber. And just being a smart ass and said, "Yeah, they call me... Tater Salad" or Tater for short. Okay enough cracking myself up, so I mention food and yes they have all the expected snack stuff but they have a full kitchen that serves food all day long and into the night. Lot of fried stuff, chicken, fish, liver & gizzard, tater babies (whatever that is), burgers, and even salads. Plus, they have Hunts Brother's pizza, and I like that. Their new posted hours for serving food is: Mon-Fri 4am-10pm & Sat-Sun 6am-10pm Bottom line: It's an Exxon station with food and an acceptable restroom :-)

I do a lot of traveling around Mississippi and this franchise is always on top of keeping things clean. However, I often come to the one in Poplarville more than the others, which is why I've made a post about this particular one. There are quite a number of great employees at this establishment as well. To name a few, Christina, Jace, and Jordan are quite helpful and polite. I frequent this stop often to the point where I know I'm going to get good customer service if they're working. The bad, however, is quite bad. Never in my life have a met a more rude employee than Jasmine. I frequently visit this establishment in the early mornings where I've encountered this unfriendly employee several times, with each time getting worse than the last. To say she is the rudest, unfriendliest, laziest, most unhelpful, and bitchiest employee is an understatement. Everytime she actually has to do her job at the counter she acts like her job is a burden. Most of the time that she's not at the register she's simply walking around doing nothing. No managers seem to put her in check ever, which I find appalling since her attitude is so bad that it's hard to turn a blind eye to. On multiple occasions she's caught an attitude when I ask for help. She's rolled her eyes and given dramatic sighs more times than I can count. I did speak with a manager about this, but clearly management doesn't care about the way their employees treat their customers. Once, I asked for $10 on pump 8, but she put $8 on pump 10. When I told her I never got money on the pump, she told me it was on pump 10. I asked if she could move it and she told me it'd be easier if I just drove over to the pump. Absolutely unacceptable. Jasmine needs a severe reality check. If you're going to be useless and bitchy, find another job. You don't need to work with the public if you're going to make an old man feel like a burden for requesting that his money be moved to the right pump. That is all.

Fantastic gas station with great gas prices, the usual convenience store items inside and a…read morefriendly and professional team working at this gas station. It is also just off of Interstate 59, so it is extremely convenient for travelers to jump off the highway, get gas and get back on the highway. I would definitely recommend this particular gas station and I give it a whopping five stars.
