We asked the attendant a question and they were super kind and helpful--shoutout to good customer service in unexpected places! You can pick up Amazon packages here, which is a win. Just don't show up with a huge backpack--there's a sign on the door about no large bags inside. Pretty sure that's a theft-prevention thing, which is understandable but a little inconvenient if you're just passing through. Felt relatively safe overall, though the stream of people walking in and out is... let's just say colorful. Definitely makes the visit more entertaining. Nothing fancy, but solid and reliable. 7-Eleven, doing what 7-Eleven does best.

Today I stopped in for a cup of ice and did my usual, handing the cashier exact change and telling her I'm just getting a cup of ice. She was just finished with the only customer in line, but usually I'll do the same if there's a long line. Nobody has ever told me this is a problem for years of doing it 2-3 times a day. Today though she decided it's a problem and, instead of politely asking me not to do it anymore, she raises her voice so everyone in the store turns to look. She says, "SIR, I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRANSACTION! YOU DO THIS TO ME EVERY DAY!!" I responded as I walked to get my ice that she could have simply asked me not to do it anymore without being so rude about it. I got my ice and started to walk out the door. She was standing at the end of the counter talking to this heavy-set, bright red haired, off-duty employee, who I guess is some sort of supervisor, telling her that I do this every day. I said, "All you had to do was say something without being a rude bitch about it," and I walked out the door toward my car, which was parked in the closest handicapped parking spot. The off-duty supervisor followed me out the door like she was going to become physical with me. She was yelling at me like a wild animal. I turned around and said, "Who the EF are you talking to you fat pig?" She actually said, "I may be a fat pig, but I bet you'd like it if I sat on your face!" I can't believe how lacking these people are with common sense customer service etiquette. Both of these employees need to be fired, and the store management needs to be changed. She told me I'm not allowed back in "her" store. I laughed as I drove away. The sad thing is I used to enjoy shopping at this store. I'll make the extra trek to Casey's from now on.

Both the cashier and Jody tried to advise me on the steps and I was familiar with it but for some reason I kept getting an error, try again messaging. I went ahead with my purchase. I actually had to return because I purchased the wrong item and this time around I felt the exchange was made difficult than it needed to be. Additionally the cashier was extremely impatient while I looked for my electronic receipt.

They are using a touch screen dispenser that within about 90 seconds will grind whole beans, brew, steam milk and dispense a coffee, latte, or hot cocoa in 3 different sizes. A 20 oz. latte for $1.89! Where else are you going to find a fresh grind / steamed milk beverage for that price and that quick? I went on-line and found the equipment they are using and it costs $6400.00; so kudos to Temp Stop for keeping the cup price affordable. I accidently discovered Temp Stop when taking my wife to an appointment in the area, now I stop anytime I'm driving down Barry Road. Way better than any other c-store offering and way cheaper than the corporate coffee chains. I wish they were in my neighborhood. The store is clean and the folks behind the counter have always been friendly and efficient.

There are always at least two employees working at all times, so there's rarely any wait for service or assistance, and they keep a close eye on the place. Their prices are also very good. They have a decent beer selection - you won't find any rare or specialty items, but they have every Mexican beer I've ever heard of, and the Boulevard staples. They also have a good selection of liquor and cigars, if either are your thing. Again, nothing too unique, but most of the essentials. You're mostly out of luck on wines, but they have a great selection of the Boone's Farm, Nighttrain, Thunderbird, MD 20/20... If you happen to be in this neighborhood and need something, it's good to know what is and isn't in demand. In this store you will find lots of Mexican/Latino foods, drinks and snacks. A wide variety of drinks in general...but hardly anything diet or low calorie. Seriously - unless you are down with Diet Coke or are willing to buy a whole 12-pack, don't expect to find what you're looking for. Same goes for "light" gatorade, energy drinks, etc. In sum: if you are near St. John Market and need a drink or some other convenience store items, there's no reason not to stop by, and they won't let you down.
