Simplest job i can imagine. It's just so frustrating because I always show these people so much love, respect, and the benefit of the doubt but to no prevail. Just nonstop disrespect and it's heartbreaking. why can't they be nice, i understand they probably get a lot of annoying customers but nevertheless it's still hurtful. With a great salad bar and large clean dining area, I have stopped several times on my way to work for lunch. With a new Aldi's in the neighborhood - I have two new choices that are much better than my three old options. I am now the person that I once despised - a satisfied suburban consumer.

Over the last 3 decades massive chains such as Walgreens, CVS and Walmart have been on a rampage of forcing mom and pop business to close or buying them up and shutting their doors. This past month, I pulled the trigger and moved all my Rx's to Phillips Family Pharmacy inside of Red X in Riverside. There is probably 6 other chain pharmacies closer to my house but I knew I had to put my money where my mouth was and do the right thing. Three of my Rx's surprisingly were lower in cost than the Hy-Vee I was using; and the 4th jumped from $30 to $50. After letting the Pharmacist know of the large increase she went on line, found a coupon and applied it, decreasing the cost to $10!! So for what I was paying $50 a month, I'm now paying about $22. Something that the well meaning but overworked pharmacists at the chains would never have the time or desire to assist with. Don't even get me started with the mail order pharmacies... Great service, Great pricing and helping to keep the American Dream alive one independent business at a time.

They tried to charge it to my Medicare part b but it wasn't going through despite me having UHC connected to Medicare. I also have Medicaid. They couldn't just apply the UHC and Medicaid like most people do. They kept walking off. There was a massive line forming behind me when I decided to just leave. Ridiculous. It wouldn't have been a big deal if the manager had helped check people out after most of them had been waiting for over 30 minutes in line. Two people were in front of me and wanted to buy alcohol and a bag of dog food I think? They wound up leaving because the manager told them "we can't check you out here." I would like to say, that is entirely false because I have been checked out at that counter a couple of times. They just didn't want to. And the people in front of me were understandably upset and left without their cart of items. It was after the upset customer left that this manager finally came to help. She walked off several times. She kept yelling at people to back up because the line started at the corner. This whole situation could have been avoided if they had two people at this counter from the start. There were 4 other people taking care of online orders back there. In response to Tara J.: As someone that used to work at walmart, I can tell you they do drug test BUT ONLY in the hiring process. Once you work there, they don't care unless it inhibits your ability to perform tasks. I had pneumonia and they fired me because I didn't make it into work. I was stopped across the street from Walmart by a lady because I was in uniform, about to walk across but I was actively throwing up and they didn't care that I was sick. Ended up in the ER.
