I haven't been to a Hy-Vee since college, but have heard nothing but great things from people. I must say, it has certainly changed since I was there during the college years. I've ordered a few things online, but the store itself was impressive. This Hy-vee had an enormous variety of options. Grocery, grab and go, pre-made food, cheeses, bakery, produce, healthy, deli- I could have spent hours there looking through their items. some pricces are great and some a little pricey, but that's anywhere. Starbucks Hibachi (nobody was there) Asian Pizza Chicken Rotiserrie and Fried Booths and tables to sit and grab lunch. Store is spacious, but the front end was roasting. Very hot with the sun beating in. Customer service left a lot to be desired. Cashier was just awkward, on his phone, said nothing and packed up my stuff and stood there. Didn't greet me, really didn't say much... Doesn't need to be a long conversation, but simple pleasantries may make it less awkward. Lots of great options for EVERYTHING. I will be back next time I'm in the area. read more

The online bakery pickup could improve. We came to pickup our bakery order but 4 different text messages came up. One guided us to a "kiosk" which in fact is an entire separate drive through area.'better directions could memorized and less text messages. We are happy with our bakery order for my nephews birthday but the pickup process was confusing and less efficient than anticipated/desired. read more

Yeah! Another Hy-Vee! I was in the northern suburb area last week, so I thought I'd check out this Hy-Vee. I was impressed! This one is very clean and the store is well stocked with a very wide variety of products. I like their layout and atmosphere. The freshness of their produce is very good. They had their $10 steak dinner and for an additional $2 to add sauteed mushroom and onion. They had their station outside the main entrance. The steak was medium - you don't get to pick, but still tasty. The green beans, rolls, and baked potatoes were cooked well. Overall great price for a steak meal. I have visited Hy-Vee other times. The store seems to be clean and organized. The store is casually busy. I wish their self-check out has paper bags. Speaking of self-check out, the scale is sensitive. There was one time when I bought 4 12-pack of pop and the POS gave me so much grief! It kept saying to put item on bagging area and when I do, it told me to remove it because there was an "unexpected" item. The associate overseeing the area had to stop by at least 3 times! (Maybe there's a discrepancy with the weight of a single 12-pack. Who knows!) There were two times when I have ordered my groceries online. The online ordering process is easy. The staff who assist with the carry out is friendly and professional. Although I had a laugh when I ordered banana, thinking it would be a bunch, when it was only 1 banana! Haha!!! Oh well. I appreciate that Hy-Vee is in the area. It is a place to stop by after work to pickup dinner. I think the pricing is fair. Bonus that it has a Starbucks! read more

Service is terrible! Watch out for the rude customer service staff! Some were kind but I have now shopped here more than 7x and had 3 bad experiences with impatient check out staff. Had a staff cursing once because the computer was giving them a hard time. The managers take no accountability. read more

I love Hy-Vee I could spend too much time looking at everything and usually do. Love the bakery and the ability to get fresh baked bread. Checking out can be challenging like most places there are not enough employees and bagged my own groceries but I am used to doing that. The store is always clean and well stocked. read more

We went to hy vee to do some grocery shopping. Before we started shopping we decided to get some lunch in their market place area. We had stopped here before and had fried rice which was pretty good but today we decided to try the hibachi grill. You pick out your noodles or rice then veggies and then protein and sauce. It was really pretty good. I got the rice noodles, veggies, chicken and teriyaki sauce. Would recommend if you are looking for food you may enjoy. read more

I ordered the pork with rice noodles, veggies and terriyaki sauce. It was pretty good. They do have other places to choose from like pizza, chicken, burgers and another asian place. Wow! Delicious, fresh lunch today at the different food small shops along the side of the store that offers many kinds of cuisines: from freshly grilled wood pizza, hibachi grill, & many others! I picked a build-your-own-bowl from the hibachi's offering. I picked out my fresh ingredients from the raw area with the help of the friendly hibachi server who grilled it up to perfection! Oh my goodness, where do I start? Was my first experience there good or bad? With the loud people yelling behind the counter in the meat section to the drive up employees cutting me off in the isles, it was quite the experience. But it was an overall good experience. I was taken back with how many food options were available. And of course I spend more than what I intended too. I mean...you've got a Walberger and DWS in the store. Were the prices good....meh...about average. But in this place, you've always got options. Alot of options. My journey throught this store took my 50 minutes. Processing everything I could to make sure I got everything I needed. Which I did. So I guess you could say...yeah, it was an overall good experience! read more

Had a mixed experience in shopping at Hy-Vee Spring Lake Park. Love the tidiness and variety of products. However, discounted pricing is not always reflected at the register. Also, watch out for some of the disconted pricings are only for PLUS customers. You need a magnifying glass to see the small print under the discounted price. So be prepared that it will take you longer to shop in Hy-Vee versus other grocery stores. I have to have price adjusted or request customer service help during self check out about 80% of the time. Couple recently bad experience: 1) Weekly deals ad received via Facebook were not honored at the sotre saying that was a misprint. 2) Bakery code was marked incorrectly by their staff and charged me more. When questioned the bakery staff, they said the price was increased yesterday. The bakery manager corrected the staff that it was not the case. I ended up paying the same price as the day before but it took me 15 extra minutes to square this away. read more

I cannot go into these stores. The fish smell from the seafood department is so putrid it smells like a day old tampon disposal bag that needs changing.......Sooooo Gross! read more
