    $10 Steak Dinner
    Teresa L.

They had their $10 steak dinner and for an additional $2 to add sauteed mushroom and onion. They had their station outside the main entrance. The steak was medium - you don't get to pick, but still tasty. The green beans, rolls, and baked potatoes were cooked well. Overall great price for a steak meal. I have visited Hy-Vee other times. The store seems to be clean and organized. The store is casually busy. I wish their self-check out has paper bags. Speaking of self-check out, the scale is sensitive. There was one time when I bought 4 12-pack of pop and the POS gave me so much grief! It kept saying to put item on bagging area and when I do, it told me to remove it because there was an "unexpected" item. The associate overseeing the area had to stop by at least 3 times! (Maybe there's a discrepancy with the weight of a single 12-pack. Who knows!) There were two times when I have ordered my groceries online. The online ordering process is easy. The staff who assist with the carry out is friendly and professional. Although I had a laugh when I ordered banana, thinking it would be a bunch, when it was only 1 banana! Haha!!! Oh well. I appreciate that Hy-Vee is in the area. It is a place to stop by after work to pickup dinner. I think the pricing is fair. Bonus that it has a Starbucks!

disgusting smelly fish that was sold as fresh

Thank you for selling me stinky fish that was sold as fresh. I thought that by buying products at Not cheap store I would get better quality than W... And this is not the first time!!! I don't see any sense in visiting this place anymore...

Pork, veggies, rice noodles and teriyaki sauce.

We went to hy vee to do some grocery shopping. Before we started shopping we decided to get some lunch in their market place area. We had stopped here before and had fried rice which was pretty good but today we decided to try the hibachi grill. You pick out your noodles or rice then veggies and then protein and sauce. It was really pretty good. I got the rice noodles, veggies, chicken and teriyaki sauce. Would recommend if you are looking for food you may enjoy.

We stopped by Hy Vee today and decided to have lunch in their market place before we went grocery shopping. We decided to have hibachi today. I ordered the pork with rice noodles, veggies and terriyaki sauce. It was pretty good. They do have other places to choose from like pizza, chicken, burgers and another asian place. If you are in the area you may want to try this.

    Rip-off!

They will rip you off. Bought 1lb of bacon on the 5 for $25 and my supposedly 16 oz. is 14.22 oz WITH THE PACKAGING! I will never shop again at a store that so blatantly steals from customers.

Wow! Delicious, fresh lunch today at the different food small shops along the side of the store that offers many kinds of cuisines: from freshly grilled wood pizza, hibachi grill, & many others! I picked a build-your-own-bowl from the hibachi's offering. I picked out my fresh ingredients from the raw area with the help of the friendly hibachi server who grilled it up to perfection! Kudos Hy-Vee!

She very sweetly was going around to each table making sure everyone was taken care of and satisfied. We learned her story from being an international chef to now opening her own cafe after being inspired by her mom's hand written recipes. She says the food is all housemade based on those recipes and stays true to authentic Filipino style. She uses minimal table salt and allows flavors to speak naturally thru the spicing. She also makes her own Ice cream and says she's heard customers say they have the best Halo Halo. There is also an amazing leche flan that is housemade, also available in a to go box We had the Dinuguan which was a pork stew with pig's blood and spices. A true nod to authenticity. We also had the Barbecue Pork skewer which was flavorful and meaty. The best part was the hot sauce condiment on the table. Jailin makes that herself in house. It was very spicy and flavorful. They had a nice to go refrigerator and merchandise area. There is plenty of seating for this quick serve space. It shares the building with a Filipino grocery store as well. Parking lot is shared between both spaces. This has a very family curated vibe, just what Jailin is aiming for. She hopes this space allows families to feel at home here. We will be back!

Upon a fine morn, I did venture forth with but a single purpose: to procure one grape--nay, not just any grape, but one most crisp and crunchy, like unto the first frost-kissed fruit of autumn's glory. Lost amidst the aisles of abundance, my spirit did begin to waver. Yet lo! There appeared a gallant youth, clad in the humble vestments of service--his name, as sung by the angels (or perhaps his nametag), was Zachary. With a smile bright as the morning sun and cheer as boundless as a spring meadow, this noble fellow did not mock my quest, strange though it was. Nay, he embraced it with mirth and honor, guiding me with great care through vineyard and produce till the chosen orb was found. Truly, Zachary is a steward of joy, a knight of customer service, and the grape--verily!--was as crunchy as mine heart did hope. Five stars, and may his smile never fade.
