Two stars because of the proximity, it's only 2 miles away. I've shopped here since it opened and have remained true blue, but I think it's time I seek out greener pastures. The once clean store has turned into a dump, the once friendly cashiers can barely utter a word heaven forbid a smile, their once helpful butchers haven't a clue. It's sad really, it's almost turned into a dollar store of a grocery without the dollar store prices. I recently made the trip to the Andover Festival and boy oh boy, talk about a wonderful experience. Smiling cashiers, helpful stockers, a fully stocked (and fresh) meat department. I frequent Festival because of the convenient location, however this is not one of the main stores I go to for big grocery hauls. Prices are higher for a lot of the produce and other grocery items so when I stop here I am only picking up a few things, sometimes more if I just can't get to another store. The quality of produce is great. Huge plus is that it's never very crowded even on the weekends or the after work rush hours. (Nothing like the craziness of Cub or HyVee close by) If I need bananas, milk, and bread I'm in and out in 5 minutes. The deli is right by the entrance and they recently added a seating area as well. A rack of clearance items is usually somewhere in the middle aisles of the store. The bakery carries Taste of Scandanavia breads and cake slices. Employees are friendly and helpful! read more

I've been going to this store since it opened over 20 years ago. There have been times when they fell out of favor, like when Hy Vee opened not far from me. But, that was short lived. They are still my go to store today. I also shop at Sams club and Costco for big quantities of paper products and some produce. But, I'm in Festival at least once a week, usually more. If they don't have something I want, all I have to do is ask for it and they will start to carry it. Their prices are in line with Cub, not as expensive as Hy Vee. And the "hometown Grocer" feel keeps me coming back. read more

I debated writing this review, because it is my home grocery store. I go to this place at least twice a week, purely based on the location, which truly unfortunate for those of us living on the east side of 252. Here are the pros: -Friendly staff - Karissa is super nice, friendly, helpful, fast -I won $2 on a lotto ticket I bought here once Here are the cons: -Produce absolutely sucks. Goes bad quickly (if not already bad while SITTING ON THE SHELF) and it is never, EVER locally sourced. The tomatoes in August are from Mexico. Sinful. -Meat sucks. Mostly frozen, no prime cuts, NO organic meats, -Everything is overpriced. There is an Asian Supermarket less than 400yds from Festival that has produce for at least $2-3 less than their items. -They recently stopped stocking organic milk. What the hell? -They have very few gluten-free frozen items, and no gluten-free desserts I feel bad, because I know they probably don't have a big enough market for organic, high-end, gluten-free, nice things, but c'mon! It's 2014! I'd like to see them get better, because the whole strip mall seems to be improving. I would love to continue to go there, but as I expand my family, it's getting harder and harder to rationalize patronizing this place when I can't feed my family healthy options. The price at Festival is definitely higher than places like Cub or Rainbow, but the quality of their produce is not cool man! If they are not in bad shape in the store, they will last only a few days at your fridge at home. I only stop in there now for their dollar bunkers (secret carts that everything is $1) and frozen meats because they do cater to the BP area and you can find nice bones to make stocks. Other than that, it is only last minute shopping and and the flower isle when I piss off my wife. Final word; go to cub off of 610 a few exits away. Festival if your reading this keep up on your produce, its kinda gross especially when your prices are higher then everyone else that's doing a better job. read more

During the non-farmer's market season, it is sometimes difficult to come by quality produce...or so Festival Foods would like to make you believe. I stopped by here the other day on my way home from work, just because it was convenient. I wish I would've taken the time to go to one of my usual spots for produce instead. It took me forever to look through the vegetables and fruit to find ones I didn't think would rot in a day or two. I was so unimpressed with the quality of the produce that I only got a couple items on my long list. After tasting the items I did get, I concluded that I should've passed on everything. The grapes were bitter, not sweet and the cucumbers were soft and had a weird after-taste. I was also not impressed with the prices. Even if the produce was high quality, I'm still not sure it would be worth what they're charging. read more

I love going to the grocery store. It's fun, it has food and I love to be surrounded by it. However, I only go here when need be. This store has amazing selection, incredibly friendly staff, competitive pricing and a very homey atmosphere. It's significantly better than Cub Foods, which has all but lost its soul and has jacked its prices through the roof!! I'll be a regular customer here. read more

Unfortunately this is the closest grocery store to my house. I now only go to this store if I need something I forgot to get at whatever other store I went to. The produce is quite poor. I just bought one of the last two portobello mushrooms, both of which were drying out. I have seen whole tubs of rotting moldy strawberries in the organic section. We purchased a can of pumpkin pie filling that had gone bad in the can. Soda that was flat on the shelf. Moldy yogurt that had not expired yet. Freezer burnt ice cream. Worst of all it is very over priced for what you get. This location must be an anomaly because I have known other people to compare other Festival locations to Byerlys. The only similarities I see with Byerlys is the price. The only positives are the location and the deals they have on whole racks of ribs. read more

Love how fresh their produce is! Tomatoes are from a local company and they have be awarded mn grocer of the year several years running! Meat is hands down the best drive over 30 minutes past numerous other grocery stores including one three blocks away for their meat! Prime cuts and excellent quality! read more

Groceries that are conveniently located near to my house. Deli is very good and I like their fried chicken better than any place in town. The Mandarin chicken salad is good and I like the creamy coles slaw. Prices are generally slightly higher than at other stores. I use their buyer gas card to get gasoline discounts at quick trip gas stations. Also buy their Ann's chips of 2 bags for $3 which seems to be a great bargain to me. They often have bakery goods on sale two for the price of one, I like the strudel bites and donut holes, and Walnut topped Carmel rolls. Dairy products such as cheese, butter and ice cream are some times on sale at good prices ... two for one as well.... bulk 2 pound bags of cheese is sometimes a good deal. read more

Won't order catering again from Festival, very disappointing. Love shopping here but ordered various foods for holiday and very disappointing. The sandwiches were primarily bread, the stuffing was actually bad (spoiled) and had to be thrown out. We were bummed; not what we expected from FF. read more

I'm not a big fan of many of the grocery stores in BP, but I like this one. Granted, I don't buy produce, so I can't speak to that, but I can always find what I'm looking for, get in and out quickly, and the employees are pretty darn nice. read more

I do some of my grocery shopping at this store. I like how the store is laid out. Staff have been very helpful. Deli has some great items, like the take-and-bake pizza (frequently on special), the cheesy potatoes and buffalo chicken dip. Good selection of imported/specialty cheese next to deli. Love the Scandinavian bakery items near front door. Love their line of Ceasar gluten-free Italian entrees in frozen section. read more
