I found the hotel staff at this Hyatt Place to be very friendly and enthusiastic. However, there was plenty to be less enthusiastic about for this hotel. Mainly, my room had a discernible odor (maybe of dog). Additionally, there was deferred maintenance and the hotel was scruffy outside the nice lobby. The rooms were decently sized and in standard Hyatt Place format. The breakfast seemed to be lacking as many offerings as some and, of course, you get the "industrial" eggs which is an issue Hyatt wide. But other than the staff, this Hyatt Place did not quite cut it. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one. I stayed at Hyatt Place Orlando/Lake Buena Vista with two elderly family members and my 1-year-old son. The second night of our stay was my son's first birthday, and what should have been a special celebration turned into one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had. Around 10:30 PM, the toilet in Room 220 became clogged and flooded the bathroom. Water spread throughout the bathroom and outside the door. I immediately contacted the front desk expecting maintenance or another room. Instead, the front desk manager, Tatiana, handed me a plunger and told me to unclog the toilet myself. I was told there were no other rooms available, nothing else could be done, I could leave if I wanted, and the only option was a request for a one-night refund with no guarantee. Throughout our stay, customer service was extremely slow. Every request took hours and often required multiple phone calls or a trip to the front desk. The Wi-Fi also barely worked. After waiting for help, I had no choice but to leave with my family and book another hotel at a much higher last-minute price. We didn't check into the new hotel until around 1:30 AM. Instead of celebrating my son's first birthday, we spent the night dealing with a flooded bathroom, packing our belongings, searching for another hotel, and paying additional money because the hotel failed to provide a safe and usable room. I have photos of the flooded bathroom and the plunger that was given to me instead of maintenance, as well as videos documenting the incident. I expected much better from Hyatt and cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience. read more

Stayed at Hyatt Place during my family's recent trip to Orlando. The stay was mostly ok. Checked in early hours of the night without an issue. They offer a complimentary continental breakfast every morning with options pictured attached plus pancakes and bacon some days. Kept looking for strawberry jelly the first two mornings but there was none put out. Minor annoyances were we got less than half a box of tissue paper and it was never refilled even though our room was serviced twice. Hotel had two elevators but one was out of service for more than half the time we were here and we were on the sixth floor. Our room lock died while we were there we had left to have breakfast and upon return we could not open the door. My husband contacted the front desk and they promptly sent someone to fix it luckily we didn't have plans to go to the parks this day. My first time at this particular Hyatt Place and I'm a Hyatt Reward Member and Credit Card holder. This was THE best Hyatt Place I've stayed at in regarding to customer service: HIGH on my list besides a stellar room to stay in. Phillip Jones II (the assistant GM) was incredibly knowledgeable and informative in explaining to me all the perks of my "new" Hyatt Place credit card. Super helpful because I had not idea, been a "new" card member. He was incredibly kind as well, greeting everyone whom arrived with a jovial smile and greeting. My room as wonderful, as always, and since I require a small "waiting room" (with a sofa and small divider) THAT is why I stay at Hyatt Places ONLY. I love their rooms! The beds are always comfortable, the bathrooms are clean and modern, the breakfast is amazing (a complimentary buffet offering everything from eggs to omelettes to bacon, waffles and so much more). I'd highly recommend this one in Orlando due to price, location and this outstanding customer service. Keep up the great work Phillip and staff. You are running a well-oiled machines of an establishment. A+ read more

I had stayed here last summer and it was a bona fide disaster. However, I decided to give this hotel another chance. Pros: Clean hotel room with two queen beds. Bathroom was also clean. Clean pool and jacuzzi/whirlpool. Close to Disney Springs (1.1 miles) and Disney theme parks. Complementary hot breakfast. Front desk manager "Jeffrey" was not the friendliest upon check in. Axel the following day was nicer. Cons: Clearly understaffed. Slow service. Breakfast was inconsistent. "Placery" eatery opened late the first morning. Scrambled eggs came with overcooked diced fries or bacon, which was served later (no pancakes or sausage were offered on Friday). Improvement on Saturday (large potato fries, pancakes, sausage, eggs). Seattle's Best Coffee offered gratis during breakfast was the worst both days, watery and weak. Not the best. LOUD, rude guests frolicking through the halls at midnight. This is not a frat party. The hotel needs to hang "Quiet hours 10:00 pm to 6:00 am" or "Keep it down, Dopey! You're not at a theme park!" signage. Guests left bags of trash in the hallways near the elevators on every floor. This is not a budget motel. Leave your supermarket trash in your rooms! As a warning, the first evening I did witness a guest claiming he and his wife found bed bugs in the room and demanded another room around 10:30 pm. Their small daughter sat nearby. The hotel was fully booked and there were no other rooms available to accommodate these guests. The man demanded, "This is your responsibility!" The manager said he would conduct an "investigation" in the morning and there was nothing further that could be done at that moment. It was an unfortunate situation, but I would side with the hotel. What if this family had brought bed begs in unknowingly on their clothes or in their suitcases? I understood their frustration, but there was really nothing further that could be done at 10:30 pm with a fully-booked hotel. I hope that situation resolved amicably. I did not experience the same issue in my room. Overall the breakfast was okay, the room was clean, the outdoor pool was well-maintained, and I would consider returning to this hotel again in spite of the loud, pushy tourists who ruin vacation for everyone else. read more

We have always enjoyed staying at this property. The staff is outstanding. They provide bus shuttle for those without cars to Disney, Universal and Sea World. We stayed at this Hyatt Place for 6 nights during our 5 day Disney World trip. It is convinienty located 10-15 minutes from the parks and less than 10 minutes from Disney Springs. Breakfast was included and parking was discounted with our AAA membership. Also, I believe they were waving parking fees during hurricane Milton. We were happy with our decision to stay at this location as breakfast was really good, the facilities and room were clean, and staff were welcoming and helpful. Each morning, there eggs, a protien (Sausage, bacon, canadian bacon), yogurt, fresh fruit compote, granola, nuts and various bread and cereal options. There were also juices, milk, coffee and fruits. Everything tasted really good and was well stocked- even on the morning when there was an influx of guests due to people evacuating to Orlando from the coast as Milton was passing. We were thankful for our very spacious 2 queen with sofa bed room since we had to stay indoors for 24 hours as places shut down and it wasn't safe to go out. There was a good sized seating area, bathroom and fridge. The GM and staff did a great job accomodating guests during the hurricane. They kept us informed with a detailed sheet of safety instructions, food options and ameneties that would be available for the most anticipated 24 hours. Breakfast was still available and other dining options in the hotel were available while local resturants were closed. Staff did their best to keep the lobby clean with not just an influx of people but also pets. There were several dogs in the elevators and lobby on Wednesday of the storm. Aside from comending this Hyatt on their accomodatiosn, it is also worth mentioning there are serveral restaurants nearby including Raising Canes, Taco Bell, Wawa, Dennys, Little Havana, a Philly Cheeestake Place, a boba shop and right next door to the hotel an Olive Garden. Stayed here for a week. The staff is the only honorable asset of this hotel. They are friendly, hardworking, and always willing to help. I would have given the staff 5 stars. But I really can't pull myself to give more than 1 for the overall experience. This means that mathematically-speaking the hotel itself scored below 0 by a large margin. If you are here for the Hollywood Studios specifically the Tower of Terror, you are blessed with a preview of the entire experience here in this hotel. Think I am kidding? Read some of the negative reviews below; they are mostly accurate. The entire hotel smells musty. During our stay, our corridors were febreezed once. But that helped for just about half a day. The hotel seemed to allow non-service animals so that might add to the cause, on top of the high humidity. The elevators are old. Trim veneers came off. The hydraulics were super loud. The humming sound would travel within the building through the structure. You can hear it clearly along with the super loud in-room A/C vent. Our room had a ceiling that looked like it was unfinished. The light fixtures were falling apart. Dated furniture, malfunctioning locks, weak water pressure, loose outlet prong catch, you name it. But perhaps worst of all is the quality of the clientele. We met the highest number of rude and selfish people during this trip. People pushing their way into the elevator before people inside could get out. Stupid young girls pressing all elevator floors above their own. People bringing their own tray to take away breakfast food to stock up their villages back home. (Yes, management had to put out a sign to ask people not to do that. It was THAT serious.) Crazy entitled parents letting their kids CRAWL around on the floor in the main dining hall pathways. Kids spilling drinks, dropping cookies right after a previous cleanup by the staff. Breakfast area littered with unwanted filled cups, plates, napkins, food. I feel sorry for the staff. They can never keep up with this sort of selfishness. Hosted an event here and the staff here made it incredibly seamless and easy! We had several trays of food, which were replenished almost immediately. The overall presentation was wonderful. The entire staff was cheerful and happy to help, which took a bunch of stress off. They even gave us a complimentary room & overnight stay. This allowed us to have mini staycation to chill after the event. We were able to check out some of the amenities like the gym and the complimentary breakfast which was delicious. If we have an event to host again, it will most likely be at a Hyatt. read more

I love Hyatt Place. One of my favorite hotels. With that being said this was probably the worst location I've ever stayed in. The downstairs lobby area is great. It looks just like all other Hyatt's but the room maintenance had me very surprised. I'll begin with check in: I checked in online so when I got there I went to the front desk to collect my keys. I gave the attendant the room number I received in the email and asked if there was a trash can near by because I had a bottle in my hand to throw away. She took the bottle from me to throw away and then proceeded to fill the fridge up with water bottles as if I was not waiting to collect my room key. That annoyed me. I booked a family room which had 2 queen beds, a pull out couch, and bunk bed. The carpet looked old and dirty. There were 3 tvs in the room that is a nice accommodation but only 1 remote worked for the room. The bathroom needs a FULL remodel. Between the mold and rust around the edges, it's just not something I'm use to with Hyatt. The next morning for breakfast was okay. It seemed like it was only 1 person working the whole area. I waited 30 minutes for the hot water to be refilled. Other things such as utensils weren't available or maybe had ran out. It wasn't my best experience. read more

Globalist but there really isn't anything here that you can upgrade to. It's just pretty run down place with a decent breakfast and location. We were going to WDW and I felt we weren't going to be in the room much anyways but still expecting more. We stayed for 3 nights, the first two nights on points. 6500 points a night is acceptable, but $250 a night (just before xmas) was not, for the value. Like others have said, it was staffed by one in the evening and might have waited 20 minutes based on the ordering of the line. Breakfast buffet was OK - the baseline offering from Hyatt. Location is decent - it's a short drive to Disney Springs. The roads were a bit confusing especially at night, but I found Florida drivers to be pretty reasonable. They don't response to room service, everything needs replacement. There's no shampoo, conditioners, or body gels. When asked for it, they told us it was coming the next day. My family stayed here for our Disney Wolrd trip and as soon as we entered our room we checked it out and stuff and then as we were pulling out the bed couch we found a some food on it and when I entered the bath room it looked like it wasn't even cleaned and as one of my family members put on some pillow sheets she looked at it and she said "this pillow case was used" , also during the night as I was sleeping I got bit by something which could have been a bed bug. read more

This place is a solid 3.5. The location is spot on close to Disney Springs and just an exit away from Disney World. Pros: clean. friendly staff. yummy breakfast! comfy bed. Cons: in room safe and bathroom lock were both broken. lack of modern charging options. Spa/jacuzzi was still broken (previous review from 2 weeks ago noted it was broken then). Having a jacuzzi was one main reason for picking this place so it was a let down. Please note that other reviews say breakfast is free... it's no longer free unless you're a World or Hyatt member. You "check in" each morning with a staff member at the breakfast room entrance and they check a list to ensure you can eat free. Another clarification from past Yelp reviews-- they state there is a restaurant on site. Besides a bar and a coffee/pastries quick-eats option, I didn't see a "restaurant" anywhere. When I arrived, he was busy making drinks for 4 guests. So, I stood there waiting for a solid 10 minutes. Globalist status was not acknowledged. No change to a higher floor or anything. - Room (3/5) Standard Hyatt Place room - Bathroom (2/5) I was not a fan of the slightly elevated shower. I found it to be slippery and easy to trip coming out. - Wifi (3/5) Speedy and easy to connect, though I found it quite weak in certain areas. - Heat/Air (1/5) Horribly loud and difficult to control from the panel. - Breakfast (3/5) Pretty standard Hyatt Place breakfast. - Fitness Center (2/5) Cardio machines and 1 weight bench with dumbbells up to 50 lbs. No cable machine. It's very cramped as well- it would be hard for more than 1 person to use the dumbbell area. - Value (3/5) Pretty cheap but lots of areas with needed improvement before this become better value. - Final Word I knew it would get loud at times given proximity to Disney (crying babies at 11pm), but I wasn't prepared for the other drawbacks. So the place was not bad. Couple of things could have been better. In general the stay was short and was good. I feel the location was really good. The room that I got was the largest they had to offer. I liked the bunk bed option for the kids but do wish the the king master bed was not right across from the kids. The room had three 40" plus tvs and and lots of space to move around. Loved the AC in the room. It was very strong. Now the down part were that the day we checked in we called the front desk but it would seem there is only one person working for everything, meaning checkin, calls and all. Waited one the phone for over 10 mins and no one picked up. We need two extra blankets and towels in the room. So I decided to to down and get it myself. The lights did not all work in the room. The bathroom mirror light is out and the kids room with the bunk bed was not working as well. One of the larger issues weee that the water pressure was just horrible. I mean I would have been better off waiting for it to rain and took a bar of soap outside to shower. The sink drain was kind of not working well and water did not go down smoothly. This was such a great place to stay. I have stayed at several other Hyatt brand hotels, but Hyatt Place is the BEST bar none. Everything started with Heather as soon as she checked us in. She trully exemplifies customer service and is the PERFECT example for a person working in the hospitality business. She trully made our families visit, and my brothers birthday, a magical experience. She was so helpful, accommodating and has a great personality. Keep up the great work Heather. I am sure you will be running a location of your own in no time. Other great perks of the hotel was the complimentary breakfast, free wifi, google chromecast capability, (which is a perfect way to unwind with netflix or hulu after a long day at the amusement parks), and heated pool. The room was pretty spacious, clean, (no bugs), and comfortable as well. Parking was free, and they offer free shuttle service too and from the Epcot. I appreciate the fact that they're pet friendly which seems more difficult to find these days. They charge a $75 pet fee (which they also subsequently tax). I believe they limit pet rooms to certain floors but I could be wrong. They also provide a special hang tag for the door to notify housekeeping not to enter due to a dog being in the room. Let's talk about fees/payment/charges. Now I don't travel all that often but I've never had a hotel charge me like this Hyatt. Usually when booking, they'll ping your card for some amount to make sure it's a valid card and you don't worry about it again until checkout. Well 48 hours before our stay I was charged for a full one night - not an authorization but a hard charge. When I checked in, I advised them we'd probably pay in cash upon checkout but to keep my credit card for incidentals....immediately received a notification about an authorization for the remaining balance due. Another authorization for the pet fee. 4 separate authorizations altogether. Confusing. Also, upon checking in I asked if we could add an additional night. We were adding a Sunday night so I knew it wouldn't be an issue. Usually that would require just a couple clicks for the clerk to modify our reservation but this required a lengthy process of making a whole NEW reservation for the final night. So later in our stay I received an email that I had to check out from our first reservation & check back in to the new reservation. They assured us it would be seamless but it wasn't...our keys stopped working midday on Sunday because we didn't "check out" even though we were okayed to stay another night. Chaos. Also while checking in, I overheard a second clerk pretty much begging the couple beside me to switch from a '2 queen' room to a 'king' room. I offered to do the same but my clerk apologized and said they didn't have any king rooms available. Then why would her coworker say they desperately needed people to switch from queen rooms??? Whatever. The room we were in was noisy. We could hear our neighbors, outside noise, hallway hustle...not ideal when you have a fur baby that you are trying to keep polite (barking). The ceiling had a weird repair that was either not fully completed or done half-assed. I could see the drywall seam that was recently patched as well as the screws. It just made me leery that perhaps things weren't as they appeared, maybe not as clean as they appeared, as safe as they appeared, etc. The beds were okay. Firm. The bathroom was kinda small. When you sit on the toilet you are sandwiched between the shower and the sink. Upon returning from a trip outside with my dog (which was a tad inconvenient to wait for a slow elevator to reach the 4th floor) the man sitting at the concierge desk was hounding us to do their timeshare thing. You know the whole "Hey do you need Disney tickets?" "No." "Do you guys cruise? How about a blah blah blah" Meanwhile my poor pooch is just trying to get on the open elevator to go back to the room. I used to love Hyatt Place--stayed there dozens of times in past years--but after my last two stays I'm done with this place. For starters, the one I'm in now (Lake Buena Vista) has the usual prominent coffee display behind the bar, but you can only get coffee at breakfast. After that, they can only make espresso and so if you want coffee, you've got to leave the hotel to get it. Breakfast itself was meh. The usual buffet and I went with lukewarm scrambled eggs and sausage, eaten in a dining area that was filthy. Meanwhile, staff is all around, but I guess they can't clean, change sheets or bring towels. Apparently it's a COVID thing (convenient excuse). Oh, and the pool? Not a single lounge chair. All are upright chairs. What? Are lounge chairs also a victim of COVID? This place just flat out sucks. They're not even trying. Fortunately, there's a convenience store across the street for food and beverages, because the hotel's "food" display was totally sparse. Soda, water and two wraps. Very disappointing. My boyfriend and I stayed at this location over Labor Day weekend. We wanted to stay somewhere that was close to Disney World and had free breakfast! We didn't drive, so we Ubered to the parks and used Disney's complimentary transportation to park hop! Each Uber ride was maybe 15-20 min and costed around $12-$15 to and from this hotel. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle, however, we found this to be a little inconvenient because they don't go straight to the parks. The shuttles leave at different times, but make several stops before entering Epcot. You also are not allowed to ride the return shuttle unless you rode the morning shuttle, even if you are staying at the hotel. The breakfast was standard! As always, I don't understand the type of eggs they use at Hyatt because I really don't recognize the texture, but they taste like eggs? So they must be eggs!! They have a range of different breakfast foods: scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with mix ins (one day it had onions and peppers, another it was ham and fresh spinach), bacon OR sausage (they alternate), oatmeal, toast, english muffins, cereal, yogurt, and fruit. There is also apple juice, orange juice, 2% milk, skim milk, almond milk, coffee, and teas available to drink! It gets very busy so my boyfriend and I took our breakfast to our room the second and third days we were staying. As for the rooms itself, we had no complaints pertaining to cleanliness. I always feel at ease when staying at Hyatt. Their beds are comfortable, and the living space is always tidy. Our only complaint is that the AC unit was sooo loud and would cut off and on during the middle of the night, so we would wake up super hot and have to turn it back on. The front door doesn't drown out noise very well either, so we could hear families and their kids when they were coming back from the parks late at night. read more

Individual cereal packs. Juices and Milks. Yogurts! Coffee and Tea Station was also available! Parking: 3/5 - Parking available up front - not gated. No need for a key card. Pavement needs some love and needs upkeeping. Elevator: 2/5 - I kept seeing all the comments about the elevator. I thought people were exaggerating. They were not. If you are in a rush during prime time - I would take the stairs. The elevators were slow. Someone must be in the basement manually operating those elevators with their hands. Rooms: 2/5 - We had a pet with us, so I didn't expect a spectacular room. However, I also did not expect my room to smell like a Petco. I must've used up my Lysol and all the body spray I could spray :(. It had a terrible stench to it. Im glad we only stayed 2 nights. I don't think I would would've made it another night. I hope they update this floor. The carpets are lived in and stains are terrible. Bring slippers. Wear your shoes at all times. Bring lysol and wipes. Bring a candle and febreze. Plug it in plug it in. Bathroom: 2/5 - Updated. A little tight but it serves its purpose. Bathtub took forever to drain, that wasn't fun. Bedding: 2/5 - Bed was comfortable enough. BUT, the stench in the room ruined it for me. I kept thinking about the smell and how the sheets are probably dirty :(. Just some context: I am a frequent Hyatt customer. Last stay was in Anaheim, California. I was greeted and informed me of my amenities.  I have stayed in hotels that allowed pets in Albuquerque, Houston and New Orleans - I have never experienced a lingering stink. Worth the price I paid? AFTER STAYING IN THIS ROOM, NO. What were the pet fees? $75 For cleaning fee. Which I doubt was used before my stay :( and it's definitely unfair that I was charged the $75 when I feel like I slept in a crate the whole time. Were the employees friendly? ABSOLUTELY. Would I stay here again? NO. Hyatt, PLEASE MAKE SOME UPDATES TO THIS HOTEL. I know its only a Category 3 but damn. read more

I recommend this Hyatt hotel to couples and family that are planning an Orlando vacation. The continental breakfast was pretty good. It's the usual chain continental breakfast except the fact that the presentation is pretty. I was IMPRESSED...They use Le Creuset pots and pans, they have 2 huge conventional toasters and an iced island with milk, iced water and orange juice. They also have a station which is separate from the breakfast with Seattle best coffee. As for the rooms, they're pretty spacious and clean, We booked the family suite which you can either have with 2 queens with a bunk bed or 1 king with a bunk bed. Both come with a soda bed and 2 flat screen tvs. The location is great, they have a shuttle for 2 of the Disney parks and other locations such as the Orlando outlet mall. The location is great for all Disney parks and universal studios. Lots of places near by to eat. We enjoyed our stay and the kids loved it. We had a little problem on our first day we checked in, of course. Kylie, informed me that they didn't have the family room available, that they "tried" to call me. Even though my phone log had no missed call from the hotel or no voicemail. She kept repeating that they didn't have our family room available, she was saying the same line over and over like an automated message machine, she was no help (Corporate Hyatt, please train her. Nice hotel to be staying at if you are here for DisneyWorld and/or Universal Studios. The staff are friendly, but the housekeeping is overwhelmed. Requests for housekeeping stuff may take long or not happen. You then need to talk to the front desk to get your requests. There is a concierge desk for scheduling shuttles to the theme parks. You will need to ask them for the schedule as it changes along the way. There is breakfast included with your stay. It is a buffet style, ranging from scrambled eggs, sausage links, mini pancakes, to toast, cereals, and oatmeals. You have drinks like juices, milk, and coffee. Overall this is a nice hotel, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. read more

LOCATION: Conveniently located 2 miles from Disney Springs offering free parking, an outdoor, heated pool and free breakfast. There's also an endless number of dining options nearby and the outlets are less than 3 miles away. If you're in town for a sporting event, ESPN Wide World of Sports is less than 6 miles away. Basically, anything Disney is less than a 10-minute drive away. Universal will be a bit longer of a trek in lovely Orlando traffic. ROOM: Our double room was very spacious since it also had a strong area with an L-shaped couch/sofa sleeper. There was also a fridge, single-serve coffee maker, safe, etc. BREAKFAST: Free if you're a Hyatt Rewards member AND if you book directly though Hyatt (new policy as of 11/1/18). An attendant checks room numbers as you enter the breakfast area. So, if you book through a third party site, you'll be paying for your breakfast even even if you're a Hyatt member (or at least, that's my understanding of the new policy). Breakfast was the usual selection - various breads, oatmeal & yogurt stations, cereals, fresh fruit, monkey bread, scrambled eggs, bacon, hard-boiled eggs, etc. The selection was just enough to hold you over to lunch and ensure you and your fam bam don't start your day on an empty stomach. If you're like me, I'm just glad I don't have to drive anywhere to feed my pair of "hangry" kiddos. There's also a bar if you need some post-park cocktails and a Starbucks is also available if you need a caffeine fix. If you need food outside of breakfast hours, there's a bar bites menu and gallery market. Typically, breakfast/lobby seating can be scarce at some hotels but that's definitely not the case here, there's an abundance of seating & tables. SERVICES. There was also someone constantly stationed at the concierge/Guest Services desk which is located just outside the elevators. This is where you reserve the complementary shuttle to the Disney or Universal. Check the hotel website for the shuttle schedule and what you're allowed to bring (i.e. big strollers aren't allowed but umbrella strollers are ok). Overall, this is a good option if you're looking for a hotel near the parks and don't want to waste time in the aforementioned Orlando traffic. Just remember to sign up for Hyatt Rewards so you get that free breakfast. read more

Overall great Hotel good location. Its located right across the street froman amazing spanish restaurant called Sofritos. The hotel even offers a discount to eat there( 10% I think), but if you check in on yelp and spend $30 you get $5 off your check. You also have the option of walking on over to the nearby strip mall so you dont have to waste money on getting an uber. decent price! Our room was clean and spacious. The workers were nice The breakfast food was fresh and delicious! I've never seen so a better showup for breakfast at a hotel that wasnt a resort. Right after picking up your food you have a beautiful view of a decently sized pool. I took a star off because my family wanted to use the hot tub but it was out of order. Free hot breakfast is probably the only reason why this hotel is so well reviewed. And while it is a good breakfast the rest of the hotel amenities are quite average. Breakfast - **** Quality is quite good and something for everyone. I really appreciated that they had almond milk. Room - *** Very spacious but older so there is quite a lot of wear and tear. The walls are also VERY thin. You can truly hear everything in the halls and the rooms next door.. Service - ** Staff are just okay here. Some are definitely more welcoming then others (A hello and welcome back when you enter the lobby) but honestly majority were borderline rude. Check-in and check-out was quick but both staff that helped me were stone faced and both had attitudes that I was bothering them... Also I did not appreciate being harassed as soon as I arrived, by people selling park tickets. I didn't travel 6+ hours to be harrassed. At least let me drop off my bags..before trying to sell me on whatever it is you want. I expressed my disinterest twice to the guy, since we already had tickets but he wouldn't leave me alone and tried asking me several questions while I had to wait for the elevator. NOTE: If one of the reasons you are staying here is the shuttle to Disney be aware that it is only for set times in the day that are actually quite inconvenient (the first shuttle isn't until well AFTER the parks open?? ). It's easier to simply Uber/Lyft and go on your own schedule if you are carless. Location - **** Good and definitely central to any of the theme parks in the area. We stayed here for one night for a Disney after hours Christmas event. We are Hyatt loyalists and while the stay served its purpose, the service and hotel condition is not up to par with other Hyatt properties. The property makes a pretty poor first impression, the paint is cracking, faded, and the building exterior just looks dirty. Luckily, the lobby is nice and clean. The rooms are typical for Hyatt Place--spacious with modern furnishings. Unfortunately, parts of the room are showing wear. All of the lights were dim, the windows were dirty, and the door was looking very beat up. It was clean, but not up to the standards I'm used to with Hyatt. The service was not up to par either. While mostly friendly, our Explorist status was not recognized at check in, and we did not receive the usual bottles of water. Minor, but the first time it's happened. Additionally, my partner had a migraine in the middle of the night. I went downstairs to ask if they sold any Tylenol/Advil and the agent dismissively told me to go to the pharmacy. I've been given a free mini pack of Advil at a hotel in the past and I've seen many hotels sell pain killers in their lobbies. While I don't necessarily expect a hotel to sell Advil, it was more the attitude of the staff that disappointed me. They didn't seem to care and it required me going out at 4:30a to go to the pharmacy after a long day at Disney. Unfortunately I can't report on breakfast (slept in after being up all night), we were informed that it is hot buffet style, which is a nice perk while many hotels still do not offer it. I was also pleased housekeeping did not try to kick us out before check in time, which I've been dealing with more frequently. Overall, it wasn't one thing that disappointed me about this stay, but a few little things. The hotel was mostly clean, quiet, and restful, but the iffy service and poor condition of the exterior and parts of the rooms will probably lead me to stay elsewhere when I'm in the area. read more

3 stars because the elevators are a huge hassle and the stairs lead outside, so you have to walk around the hotel to get back in. Not convenient when your in your pajamas and want to have breakfast. No room service, can't even have extra bedding brought up to your room. You have to go get it yourself in the ancient elevators. Very inconvenient when your one adult with 4 kids. Also, no restaurant and the breakfast was ok. The food was not prepared on sight, that was obvious. On the bright side: the rooms are very clean, staff is very friendly, there is a basic pool, and there is a bar. I recommend this Hyatt, just not for me. Was greeted by a warm, why you look like you got beat up (Felicity). After traveling all night, this is not the welcome I expected from an elite hotel. No bathtub in the family room. Was told by Felicity, that's what I paid for, would have to downgrade to get a bathtub (traumatized my four year old with a shower). No privacy in the master suite and the bathroom door didn't lock. Bar had no top shelf vodka, but bartender Adrian was great! This location advertised amenities they don't have: No microwave in suite, two microwaves at the bar for the whole hotel to use. No restaurant available. So disappointed we checked out early because the conditions were unbearable for this standard of hotel. Ruined my families vacation. read more

We got the Queen Room-High floor Came with two queen sized beds and a little fridge, L shaped couch on the corner with a table and for the price I paid there should've at least been some sort of snack.lol Decent view from the window overlooking the pool that was super cold until you got use to it.
