The food was exceptional. there was a buffet where the food was very good and for my vegetarian husband and me, two vegetarian dishes were served by a wait person at our table and it was absolutely delicious. It had to be special ordered in advance but there was no extra charge. The chef they have must be amazing to have served such a creative dish. We weren't told what it was so I can't say, but I'll post a photo of it. It was cooked perfectly. Parking was plentiful. the venue is on the second floor. There were two staircases plus an elevator that is located next to the rear of Foxtail coffee. My only reservation is that during the cocktail hour, it would have been nice to have additional seating options and more tables to stand at and eat the hors d'oeuvres.

The venue is thoughtfully designed with two main levels. The downstairs ballroom serves as the primary event space with a full kitchen and dressing room, while upstairs features a large rooftop terrace, another dressing room, and a half kitchen that works well for cocktail hours or smaller gatherings. The entrance also showcases local art installations, which adds a nice cultural touch. One thing that really stood out during our tour is the value for the size of the venue. For the number of guests the space can accommodate, it's honestly difficult to beat the pricing compared to many other venues in the area. The only reason we ultimately didn't choose this venue came down to production limitations. They do not allow cold sparkler machines, "dancing on a cloud" effects, or direct mounting from the ceilings, which restricted some of the celebratory elements we were planning. They are also strict about approved caterers and vendors, which is understandable since previous events have caused permanent damage to the facility. Because our daughter's padrinos wanted to contribute to some of the more elaborate production elements, we had to explore other options. That said, if your event doesn't require those features, the Winter Park Events Center is an incredible venue with a modern design, great layout, and strong value. For weddings, galas, or milestone celebrations that fit within their guidelines, it's absolutely worth touring.

We were here for my son's national volleyball tournament, and overall I was impressed with how well…read morethe convention center handled such a large event. One tip: make sure you know whether you're supposed to be at the North or South Concourse before you arrive. If you enter on the wrong side, you'll have quite a walk. Parking was $20 per day when we purchased all four days at once. Otherwise, it would have been $26 per day. Every time you enter or exit the parking lot, you'll need to show your parking pass so it can be scanned. The convention center itself is enormous but very clean. Both the North and South sides had food and beverage vendors, although I thought the South Concourse had the better selection this year, including Starbucks, Cuban coffee, and even a vendor handing out free protein bars. The restrooms were consistently clean, which is always appreciated during a long tournament. One thing that really stood out was the excellent lost and found system. I accidentally left my Nordstrom credit card in a restroom. When I went to Lost & Found, a sign directed anyone looking for a wallet or credit card to the Championship Desk. Sure enough, they had my card. I had already canceled it, but it was reassuring to know that someone had turned it in. It's nice to see honesty still exists. A few tips for first-time visitors: The playing areas can get incredibly loud, so bring headphones or ear protection if you're sensitive to noise. Keep your head up! Volleyballs can come flying off the courts. I actually got hit once--not too hard, thankfully--but it definitely happens. There are floor maps available, which are helpful, but it's best to know your court assignment before arriving. Security is efficient. You'll pass through an electronic scanner, and security may ask to look inside your bag (even my clear bag was briefly checked). One of my favorite improvements from previous years is that you can upload a selfie to your entrance pass ahead of time. That way, you don't have to show your driver's license every time you enter. Despite the size of the venue, it was clean, organized, and well-equipped to host a tournament of this scale. I know this is a very difficult feat to handle so kudos to them! I didn't like how dark the areas were on the playing floor if you decided to get coffee or food there - way too dark or depressing! Add nice light there like you do on the floor where all of the vendor carts are!

We decided on a Bridgerton themed wedding and the Magnolia Garden and cocktail hour space were the perfect vibe. The venue allowed us to have a horse and carriage on the tee box right next to the cocktail hour space, and the reception room with the included draping and chandeliers were perfect. Also, probably most importantly, the team made us feel wanted and loved. As a LGBT couple, we were worried that it would be difficult to find a venue and vendor team that made us feel just as comfortable as any other couple, but they exceeded our expectations. They made accommodations for us to use both locker rooms as bridal suites, ensured we were always comfortable with all of the decisions, and even let us do a re-tasting to ensure we were 100% satisfied with our dinner menu. Our guests absolutely RAVED about the bar service and service of the venue staff. Everything was perfect - so much so that MANY of our guests have asked us to throw anniversary parties here every year. The Royal Crest Room team was also incredibly responsive and flexible when communicating any questions or concerns, worked with us when we had a payment due but we were traveling internationally, and immediately corrected an issue with our sand ceremony equipment. We could not have asked for a better team for our special day and their preferred vendors list will help with any other special touches you want to add! The reception room had beautiful white drapery and a hanging chandelier, the tables were spaced nicely around the room all with formal dining wear and chargers. The servers were very quiet and respectful during the event, and wore all black head to toe, including gloves while serving food. They moved around in a very smooth pattern and flow of the room. They were professionals. My only complaint is the bathrooms are single stalls.
