It's okay as an airport hotel. Had a couple of bags when checking in (did some shopping in the city beforehand), but no one was available to assist. My Uber driver was kind enough to go inside to get a cart, load bags, and push to get through the revolving door for me. Had to request front desk personnel for further assistance. As other said, I noticed stains on the bathroom tiles. Evian water bottles and some 'rock hard' sweets were waiting in my room as Diamond welcome amenity. The Regency Club consists of 2-levels, but breakfast offering looked to be minimum. read more

The Hyatt Regency Paris - Charles DeGaulle is billed as a convenient airport hotel, but in actuality is not all that close to the airport. The hotel does have a shuttle, but it is not all that reliable, as has been discussed by other bloggers and travel forums. When waiting for the shuttle to the hotel, a wait of approximately 40 minutes was needed. I was about to hail a taxi when the shuttle van finally did arrive. After entering the hotel, the registration desk is directly to the left. Unfortunately, when I got there no employees were in sight. It took a few minutes before an employee did come to the front desk. Registration was prompt, however the front desk employee did not direct me to the only working bank of elevators. I headed to the closest set of elevators to the registration desk only to find out that they did not work. After heading back to the registration desk, only then was I informed that the working elevators were located towards the back of the hotel. I was given a Club King room, which was about the size of your average room in Europe. There was a king bed, a small chair, with dresser and TV. The bathroom was fairly large with a combination shower/tub. There is very little counter space, which is always a hassle when traveling. My main problem with the bathroom was the shower/tub set-up. There was only a partial shower door, which always gets water all over the floor and allows heat to escape. The second issue was with the height difference between the bathroom floor and the tub. It must have been close to a foot, which can be a hazard since it is such a large difference. With a wet floor, slipping and falling can easily occur. The other problem with the room is that the air conditioner worked very poorly. This made the room extremely uncomfortable. The Regency Club had a very small selection. There were only a couple of pieces of fresh fruit, some dried fruit and nuts, along with a selection of drinks. The Regency Club is somewhat small, although it is two stories. There was no attendant in the club either. In order to get into Paris, you need to take the shuttle back to Charles De Gaulle Airport, then take the RER or other mode of transportation into the city. This is a major setback due to the unreliability of the hotel shuttle. It also takes about 15 minutes for the shuttle ride between the airport and hotel. After going into Paris, we waited for over 50 minutes for the shuttle to arrive to take us back to the hotel. The shuttle never arrived, and we ended up taking a taxi back to the hotel. As we had an early flight the next morning, this was a huge waste of time. After speaking with the front desk manager about the unreliability of the shuttle, he said that he would look into it, and did apologize for the inconvenience and gave me 5,000 extra Gold Passport points. The Hyatt Regency Charles De Gaulle is a nice hotel, but not exactly close to the airport. If you aren't pressed for time this is a good choice, as the hotel is clean and well maintained. You take a shuttle that leaves every 20 minutes or so from CDG Terminal 2 TGV station level 5, Platform 2. The ride takes about 15-20 minutes and is free. Beware when returning to CDG to catch your outbound flight however. The shuttles carry 8 people and there can be many people wanting to board it in the morning and you may have to wait for the next one. We thought the hotel was great. Our room was very large. (We were given an upgrade for some reason.) The staff is very helpful, though they did not always seem sure of themselves when addressing billing questions. The gym is small, but adequate and there is an indoor swimming pool. One nice feature is a full-sized pool table on the ground floor. The best feature was the restaurant, however. No expense was spared in providing an abundant variety of high end meats, fish, cheeses, breads, desserts, etc. Though served in buffet format, the quality was better than the prepared dishes that one would find at a good restaurant. I kept going back for more. The buffet breakfast is equally good. I get hungry just thinking about it. The hotel and its restaurant are not cheap but it was well worth it for the quality of the service, the rooms and especially the food. read more

Stayed here for two nights while in France. Super friendly staff! Breakfast is so good, includes an omelette bar, fresh juices and pastries, fruit, potatoes, the best eggs ever. I love that they have q-tips, cotton rounds, and a loofah in the bathroom. The comforter feels like a marshmallow, I love the robe + slippers. Literally, no complaints! Hope to stay here again one day. read more

To begin, this is not truly an airport hotel. Sure it's a couple miles from CDG, but they don't have a dedicated shuttle. From terminal 3 you take a bus, and if you just miss it during non peak hours it will be 45-1 hour for the next one. Upon arrival the rooms were a bit run down, and he hotel staff horribly clueless. I waited 30 minutes for them to try to lock the adjoining door before being moved to another room. The TV didn't work in the new room. For a compatible room quality and better location, I would go with the Hilton at T3. Walking distance to the CDGVAL with better service. read more

Here for work so I didn't choose the hotel. Rooms are very dated and not always the cleanest. The gym is decent and they also have an indoor pool. The location is right by the airport but taxi drivers get annoyed when you get in and tell them where you are going-sometimes even refusing to bring you because they want a higher fare ride. You can take a shuttle from the airport but it takes awhile. The lobby area is very nice and the restaurant is actually not bad. Breakfast buffet has a lot of choices and even a Korean-style station since they get a lot of Asian guests. There is Aeroville shopping mall which is very close by and you can either walk a short walk or ride a shuttle to it from the hotel. If you're looking to go into Paris or another city there are buses or you can take a train from the airport. The closest village is small but adequate for a stroll and to pick up some food and wine if you didn't want to go to the mall. All-in-all it needs to be updated (the rooms especially). But if you need to be close to the airport it's not a bad deal. read more

This was my first trip to Paris. I had to attend a company event in Roissy that was held at this hotel. Up till then I have only had one other experience with European hotels, in Bologna, Italy. For those of you that travel to Europe, you know that the rooms are typically very small and often times the beds are not very comfortable. This Hyatt was a pleasant departure from the typically European hotels. I traveled with my wife and from the moment we got to the hotel we felt welcomed. The front desk staff, and most of the employees we interacted with were multi-lingual. My wife and do not speak French but it was not an issue at this hotel. We did our best to speak French, but I am sure we failed miserable. Check in was quick and we got right to our room. The room was quite large from what I was expecting. The room size was very comparable to a standard room size in the USA. Both the hotel and the room were clean, nicely decorated and had all the modern features you could want. The bathroom was nice but the tub/shower did take some getting use to. It was a tub with basically a hand held shower head, only a partial door and you are standing naked looking at yourself in the vanity mirror. Also the tub is really high; it was a very odd feeling. The food was fantastic, I recommend either the grilled ham and cheese sandwich or the Caesar salad, and both were sensational. The pool and exercise area were very nice, the Jacuzzi was wonderful. The only issue with the pool and Jacuzzi, you have to walk outside across the foyer into another building, it was a wee bit cold. For the money this is a great location. If you are passing through the area or have business near the airport, I would highly recommend this hotel. The only downside, it is about a 40 minute taxi ride to Paris, so this hotel is not the greatest location if you are there to sight see. The Good: Multi-Language Friendly Staff Great Food Awesome Pool & Jacuzzi Large Rooms The Not So Good: Limited TV Channels, especially for us English speakers/Americans Pool and Jacuzzi is in another building and you have to go outside to access, and walk right through the bar, restaurant and lobby area. **WARNING***This is absolutely the worst Hyatt property I have ever stayed at. I have stayed at many Hyatt properties all over the world. I can not believe the Hyatt company would really want their name on this property. I stayed here on my way out of France this week. The only reason I even gave it one star is that the staff in the restaurant was very professional and pleasant during our dinner. When we arrived in our rental car, there was nobody even around to take our luggage, we went inside to register and asked for a bellman to help with our luggage. The woman at the registration desk, pointed us to a empty counter behind us and said someone can help you over there..... We had to return our rental car after check in, we asked about the shuttle serve to get back to the hotel, the women handed us a piece of paper with a schedule on it. She could not offer any information about the shuttle or how to find it at the airport, wow... Once we finally found a very nice bellman to help us to the room, he brought us to the wrong floor... how does that happen? The room was horribly dirty ( I posted a photo of the moldy shower tiles) and very very hot, the thermostat worked but could not keep up with the heat beating on the building. I was hot in the room so I opened the mini bar and it was empty? So I called down to see what was up with that, the guy told me that this floor does not have the mini bars stocked but I can call room service. So I happened to have a bottle of Champagne, since it was the last night of our vacation, I had a bucket of ice delivered. They charged me 5 euros as a "delivery" charge ??? Never have I seen this before, unreal.. This place is expensive $$$$ to boot for the airport convenience I assume. If you have a choice, Do Not Stay Here.....There are several other options nearby, including Hilton, Marriott, Novatel and others.... I will continue to be a loyal Hyatt patron, but not here ever again...This place was a nightmare.........could not get out of there fast enough. read more

Stayed here one night so we can catch an early morning flight out of paris and what a mistake. Dirty room and bathroom. Asked for breakfast and told to hang on door and received menu to hang on door and assured no later than 8:20am. At 8:25am, checked door tag was still on door. They said they didn't pick them up this morning. So received no breakfast. Asked for a manager. Never got one and said she was too busy. went to front desk and called 3 times and each time they said same thing. Auto wake up kept calling us at 5:45 and 5:50am when we got in at 1 am and did not ask for wake up call and could not go back to sleep. Woman at front desk said who ever set it up did upon check in and did it BC we didn't give him tip. Finally went down for breakfast and All Bread pastries were stale and one even had mold. Not accommodating at all for allergies or special needs and messed up on our bill 3 times in a row at restaurant. Overall, inefficient, no customer service. Staff lied to us. Manager is unavailable always. Rooms were filthy. Rates are exorbitant for this motel experience. This is not a quality of a Hyatt regency and should not be called a regency. read more

I wavered between a 3 star and a 4 star. Perhaps because of memories there. The hotel for airport hotels go is very decent. The good: The rooms are a good size, some rooms ginormous in fact; and, there's a nice sound block that despite it's proximity to the airport you don't hear anything, at least I don't. The gym, steam, sauna, is pretty decent. There is a club lounge but it's not the club lounge we're used to with the big buffet, the awesome drinks, but it's decent. If you have club privileges you should just go to the buffet in the morning downstairs at their 1 restaurant. It's a spread but not the quality it once was. On Friday's, they have a seafood buffet that even the local la-dee-dah businessmen/women come and partake (so book ahead if you're there then). The lounge does have coffee/tea all day long. That's awesome as coffee for everyone else is over 3Euros. The lobby has an ATM. The bad: The service is truly uneven. Check in can be awesome, fast, caring or abysmal slow, behind 30 airline attendants or someone that won't recognize your club status. WIfi is horrid. Even getting email is pulling teeth. Shuttle, depends on the traffic (so watch your time. The hotel can't control this so don't fault them). During certain hours you should just opt for their paid service (they have that but they don't have so many cars for the paid service BUT you can reserve ahead). The difference is if the paid car is there they will take you directly to your terminal versus the route. The number of flight attendants staying makes the place feel more like a dorm. Either you like this or you don't. The bar can be a pick up scene (either you like or you don't). Food, the other reviewers said it. For being in France, if you can, just eat elsewhere, except that Friday seafood buffet lunch. Last, to catch the shuttle when you arrive at CDG, you have to haul far and far and upstairs. Then wait. So, get a cup of coffee and plan to chill. read more

Rooms are fine, restaurant is awful. Not sure if the menu is so bad because they try and cater to world citizens, but is so awful that you may wish that a McDonalds was next door. Pizza, curry, and grilled cheese. Whatever you do, stay away from red meat in France, its questionable at best. The service (one server, three tables of customers) was so bad that I gave up on getting a cup of coffee, after 30 minutes and three requests. I just gave up and left. Try and make a meal out of wine, bread, and cheese in the bar. You'll thank me in the end. read more

Overall, disappointed. Staying at the Hyatt near Charles De Gaulle in Paris. Room is below average: Carpet is faded and has "rolled up" and should be replaced, but at the least it should be stretched. The bathroom is also dated, with blackness in the grout. There are no, zero, outlets near the bed. No clock, and of course everyone keeps their phone by the bed, but no outlets??? The nearest one is at the foot of the bed, but at only one side, the other side has none close. The "outlet stand" that is at the work desk is part of the light switch by the door, that turns a light on and off: this means that you have to leave a light on in the room to be able to use the outlets by the desk? Horrible planning. Lastly, the reading light on one side is missing a bulb, at least it looks like it's just missing, but it could certainly be broken. The irony in this is that this is supposed to be an upgraded room??? At check in the people were very nice, so that's the only reason for the two stars. Lastly, we just stayed three nights in Nice, and that experience was fantastic, and a major influence why we booked this stay. I feel somewhat taken advantage of, almost like a "bait and switch" I guess there is one more thing: the lobby here is GORGEOUS. Maybe some of that money should have been spent on updating the rooms out of the 1980's.... read more

We stayed here the night before our flight home. They have a free airport shuttle. However it takes a very long time to get to the airport and it is very very confusing! They should have some sort of map and airlines so you know where to get off. We got off at the complete wrong terminal but were lucky we left early. The hotel itself is nice and clean. This is a pretty typical Hyatt and much nicer than you'd expect for one located at an airport. I stopped in here to catch an early flight the next morning. There isn't much to do and it is about a half an hour from here to downtown so it isn't really close. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you are going to go site seeing. Stay downtown for that. On the good side the restaurant is very very good for a hotel. I normally have a rule that i don't eat in hotel restaurants but since there isn't any other option you are a bit stuck. Here you don't have to worry as both dinner and breakfast is very good. read more

Ok everybody, this is an airport hotel so you know you're trapped. I'm only reviewing the brunch to be fair. 25eu is a lot for stone cold steam table eggs n sausage, industrial croissants, & canned fruit. For a western palate, they add supermart cold cuts, dairy products. For halal/veg diets, your fare is cardboard cucumber, tomato, cereal, sulphur-dried fruits. No efforts here. Machine automat coffee. Seriously Hilton? No honor here. In Paris you can do a lot better. As for service, this is strictly a training hotel where the newbies at the desk are taught to say no and clearly don't have any stake in customer outcome. read more

We stayed here in our last night in Paris because our flight got cancelled. So, after several hours in the airport it was really nice to arrive to a very comfy bed. The staff was extremely nice, friendly and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom were both super clean, with a king size bed, and very spacious, specially after being in our small bedroom for four nights in Paris. I was really worry about hear planes at night, but I can tell you that I didn't heard a thing. I actually slept better the night that I spend here than in other hotel in my week in Europe. This is more than enough if you are looking for a comfy, friendly place to stay a night near the airport. read more

I stayed here with my friends for 2 nights and had a wonderful stay. When I came in the check in was very welcoming, I was offered help with bringing my bags in and the desk cleric spent some time with me giving me info about how to get around Paris most conveniently. Later when I passed through the lobby she recognized me and checked in with me to make sure I was settling in alright. The room and bathroom were both clean and comfortable, the cleaning staff in the morning were very friendly and cleaned our quickly and efficiently. I had an all-around great experience here. I came as part of an international business trip. And while not everything was perfect to begin with, my requests were quickly and effectively addressed. And, these were only minor things too, nothing major was wrong. The food deserves special praise. While very expensive, the food was worth it. That must have been some of the very best food I ate in all of Paris. And, I stayed a total of nearly two weeks and ate at a lot of other good places. The staff is always willing to help any way they can. In the end, nothing negative sticks in my mind! That doesn't happen often with my hotel stays on my business trips. read more

I have stayed at this Hyatt on two separate occasions, and will likely stay here again. This hotel is simply a 'one-nighter' for me, meaning a good launching point if you have an international flight out of CDG the next day. This is not a hotel I could see anyone staying at for more than 1 night (other than perhaps business conferences, etc), for touristic purposes, etc. On both of our stays, we arrived in the evening, left early in the morning for the airport, and dined in the main hotel restaurant for both a late dinner and an early breakfast. The hotel rooms on both occasions have been, simple but clean and comfortable- and since we spent less than 12 hours total at the hotel- they were perfect for our needs. The meals have been good but not amazing, however I did not expect much and my meals were better than expected both times. The staff was very helpful and friendly on each occasion, and on my most recent visit they assisted with logistics to hire a vehicle to transfer for us from the other airport (Orly) to their hotel, which was greatly appreciated and executed smoothly. My only complaint would be the shuttle service to the airport- I used their service on both of my visits, and on this most recent visit, we were dropped off at a 'mid-terminal', where you connect to the other terminals via a short train ride. I guess its my fault for not researching this better, and I believe on my previous visit we were dropped off directly in front of our specific departure area. CDG is huge and there are many, many potential shuttle / terminal stops, so I understand why the shuttle service may have changed to ease their logistics, frequency of shuttle trips, etc. However I was traveling with my pregnant wife and a number of bags from a 3-week visit to France and Spain, so this kind of irritated me as we had a fair amount of hustling to do from the central train stop to our specific departure terminal. We did not go through this procedure on our previous visit approximately 2 years ago...and had I know- I would have paid for a short taxi which would have dropped me off directly in front of our destination terminal gate. Anyways, this all said, I can't imagine there being a much better option for CDG 'airport-side' accommodations - and I will surely include this hotel as part of my itinerary if future travel plans dictate a short stop-over before an early-morning international flight. read more

doesn't really deserve the one star. thus place has got small rooms with ugh service. that's right i can't even come up with a decent (and by decent i mean demeaning) word to describe their service. here's the senario... my family and i check in and settle in our rooms. the next day we head out to paris for our tour. we come back that night and everything is fine and dandy. the next morning is when all he'll breaks loose, at least for me it did. i was getting ready for the day and wanted to use this new purple sweater that i just purchased a week or so before. but!!! low and behold it's missing. okay, i misplaced it, turned the room upside down searching for it. and yes i did have it with me when we got to our rooms bc i distinctly remember unpacking it along with my other sweater and placing them on the chair. now i am getting really pissed off! by the time we leave the room, i tell myself to calm down bc it could be in the room my mom, aunt, and grandma are staying in. i still put the do not disturb sign on our door, and def put it on everytime we left for the rest of our trip. we return to the hotel yet again and we search the room my mom, grandma, and aunt are staying in. nope! not there. okay, i give up, it's gone. it's still bothering me bc an object of mine was taken. granted i've had things stolen or misplaced before but this time it really got to me. especially after how it was handled. my dad said to file a complaint, even after i said no bc it was long gone and i want going to get it back. by the en of that conversation i was over it and just wanted to enjoy the rest of our vacation without bringing the whole mood down for everyone and myself. even so, my dad woke up earlier the next morning and complained to the front desk. he told them "my daughter only put the do not disturb sign on the door bc her sweater was taken and doesn't trust anyone to come and clean the room." my dad then told me the front desk said they would credit the room 30 dollars. that's nice and all, but it still doesn't get my sweater back. fast forward a couple more days and we are checking out. of course when this happens, we are told they cannot credit us the thirty dollars bc that is not their policy. if it's not your policy, then why tell us that in the first place?!?!?! second, they say they searched for the purple sweater and couldn't find it. number one: no shit sherlock, it was taken!!!!! number two: why were you searching for it in the room when i put the do no disturb sign on the door?!?!?!?!?! even if my problem was as small as a sweater, the matter in which it was handled was despicable. sidenote, i guess i did come up with a word to describe their service, haha. i can only imagine the more priceless items that this god forsaken place has gotten away with taking away from their customers. for shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Rooms are ok for a 1-night business lay-over, but I'd advise against anything beyond one day and definitely not for vacationers. The carpet in the halls are showing quite a bit of wear and tear, but the real issue is that they don't have a convenience store or vending. There are no places within walking distance to pick up snacks. The in-house buffets are very expensive with below average quality. It costs 6 Euros to add a (small) coke! Also, we paid for parking, but it took us about 15 minutes to setup our navigation -- when we went to exit, we were charged 6-8 Euros for that extra time...we had cars beyond us, so we just paid and shall never return. read more

Not sure what's going on with these yelp reviews. The room was huge. A lady literally came in to give us desserts upon our arrival in our room. The Hyatt club lounge had cold drinks and a good coffee machine. The A/C wasn't perfect, but it was there, and many Paris hotels do not have it. The swimming pool is a great feature. The location is good, close to the airport and to the Aeroville mall. Everything was in great shape for our stay. read more

An excellent, business-traveler-oriented hotel in close proximity to to Charles de Gaulle. Arrival and check-in is swift and welcoming, and for Diamond members with a choice of points or a bottle of 2009 Bordeaux and artisan chocolates. The facilities are modern and sleek, the atrium airy and pleasant for a drink or a quick bite. True, the food offerings are very standard for an American business hotel, with a few French adjustments--all very welcome! As you might imagine, the wine selection trumps their US properties, and the service in the Regency Club is top notch. The club's cocktail hour from 6-8 is a well-stocked self-serve bar with a canapés buffet (drinks until 10pm, however) and the attendant on duty is extremely attentive, even offering to refill wine glasses and bring guests specially requested items. The breakfast--either in the club or at the main buffet on weekends--is completely correct with an Asian flair--a relfection on the nature of many guests' region of origin. True, it's not the authentic Parisian experience, but works well as a positioning hotel for an early flight or a long layover--and no matter the occasion, is always welcoming. There is also an excellent 24-hour gym, as well as a lap pool, a hot tub, and a sauna for guests' use. A great and convenient way to start a long voyage. read more

The shuttle was convenient to roissypole station to hop on the main line to paris (tip - try and catch a direct train from CDG to Paris Nord, saves 20 minutes). The breakfast buffet was excellent. The concierge was a bit of an idiot by not telling me I had to swipe my access card to use the elevator. But after 5-10 mins I was able to figure it out. Wow... What a disappointment in almost every way. The bellmen were nice and helpful, as was one of the ladies at check in, but just about everything else was substandard. Stopped for a quick bite before bed - food was quite poor quality, and not well prepared. Come on... This is (almost) Paris! We're not in Boise. The service was almost non-existent. A problem to get a drink, another drink, a check. I finally had to go to the reception podium and ask for it. The room was fair, at best. The bed is fairly poor. Shower was awkward to stand in... Very good business hotel. Clean, quiet rooms and a nice hotel gym. It's convenient to the airport but I strongly recommend the 10 Euro electric car from the hotel instead of the free shuttle. The driver was prompt and courteous and the car was clean. I was with 2 others and we ate in the hotel 2 nights, both meals were very good, but not great. Service is typical for France (a little slow) although Sandra made an extra effort to make sure things were right for our table. The bar staff was also good. The metro is nearby and there is a mall across the street, but it's basically a business park. read more
