I only got my first tattoo last year. So I didn't 100% know what I wanted done for my big piece on my leg hence why I got 5 other smaller tattoos first. Anyways I got my very first tattoo after seeing a women empowerment flash sale at Evolution Ink. I felt the tattoo that I got really jumped out at me and represented what I was going through my life at the time. Having a shitty president neing elected, realizing how many stupid people in this country actually voted for him and so on and so on hahaha Anyways all my tattoo experiences at Evolution Ink have been amazing and I dont think I ever would have really realized that unless I had this recent experience at this other tattoo place. I know no one asked for my review but I felt it was needed cuz everyone needs to know how awesome the ladies are at Evolution Ink!! My recent tattoo experience was so disappointing compared to all my other experiences at Evolution Ink. When I first arrived to my appt after paying a hefty deposit (more $$$ than I've paid for any of my tattoos) the artist who was going to do my tattoo was not even prepared for my appt. It took over an hour for him to even put my design together that I emailed him a week before my appt. So that was strike 1 for me, all the ladies at Evolution Ink have always been ready at the time of my appt and if they were even a few minutes behind they apologized for running behind, didnt get that at this place. Strike 2 was when the artist decided he wanted a break only 45 minutes into my tattoo. Apparently the food truck was at the shop & he felt it was time for a lunch break. I understand it takes longer for a bigger tattoo piece but to already break 45 min just seemed a bit weird. I had a 2 hour tattoo that Ashley didnt even break for once! Strike 3 was the artist was constantly being interrupted despite other artists not being with a client, apparently this artist was the only one who could talk to other customers. My tattoo took almost 5 hours when I think it probably could've been done in 3. The constant interruptions and the artist being on his phone frequently was just another touch to my bad experience. Lastly the part that really did me in was the lack of communication between me and the artist while getting my tattoo. I felt like I was at home each time I got a tattoo with the ladies at Evolution Ink. This other place I felt like just another $$$, not once did the artist ask about me or even ask if I was doing okay. If you have made it this far I applaud you but my overall message was that the ladies at Evolution Ink are absolutely fucking amazing and I won't be going anywhere else for my tattoo needs!
