They have had our car for nearly 3 weeks now, because every time the paperwork was submitted they rejected it. They take advantage of the elderly and handicapped. Our vehicle was also taken from a housing complex/Island Club West with managers help. This is the 2nd time this has happened, the first time a rental car was taken from the same property, 2 weeks prior. Each time these vehicles had been registered with the HOA. horrible company car was towed by them left my vehicle in lot with windows open over the weekend causing water damage from rain , now they claim they windows were closed yet when I picked my car up I had gallons of water all over the floor seats soaked electrical damages etc Roger the manager stated that I must have a leak or it was like that before I got towed. Funny my car is always parked outside and no water leaks ever explain how you pick up my car with sunroof and 2 windows open claim you closed them but my car still flooded from rain. I was arrested when my car was towed which polk county sheriff had them pick up car. Hydra is a shit company and will be filling for legal compensation un florida statue 713.78 for negligence of my car while in your care. read more

I am a dealership, We received a notice from this tow yard today, that we had a vehicle there. When I called, the man that answered the phone asked me for the vin , I gave it to him, he said "its not here" I asked him when and to whom was it released he told me "I had an attitude and I could just go fuck myself". this is the rudest and most unprofessional tow company I have dealt with in my 17 years here. I completely understand why they are not with BBB. If there was a "horrible" rating, that is what I would give this company! read more

I did not like that I was towed and really was upset about the whole situation. But as far as towing company goes they were very decent and respectful, over the phone they gave me the address and helped with directions. I got there and it was not the same person, this guy was big and with a strong voice but while I was not happy he explained again why was I towed and got my car. I like that I got a recipe, don't like that I had to pay cash but I am being told that all towing companies do this. read more

this company is garbage. we came out of town to for a vacation this towing company towed our car from club island west Davenport fl when we had a parking registration already paid and in the computer. the hoa let them tow our car knowing it was registered. demanded cash $250 the guy hung up on me and avoided my calls and blocked my calls after he set up an appointment for 10 pm. awful company and terrible customer service. read more

WARNING! STAY AWAY FROM THESE FOLKS! They illegally tow vehicles and hold them for ransom and demand cash to get your vehicle back or they will sell it. They towed a Valid Handicap'd person car from a valid handicap spot and didn't contact the owner for 2 weeks! re: pumping up the daily storage fee. The violation? The right tire was on the White Line on the ground in an apartment complex. When the Police were called, the Police Officer said no way that was a towable offense and refused to even write up a police report. Hydra steals cars and holds them hostage all around the theme Parks in Central Florida. Notice NO Office in Central Florida. They "Hide" the stolen vehicles behind fenced in abandoned lot in Polk City, FL behind a restaurant. Police notified that illegal thefts are occurring via these folks. Notice that they are also NOT BBB Approved and have an "F" rating. Cops at apartment complex daily as people are reporting stolen vehicles that Hydra determines are illegal, which they have no authority to do so. read more

In the interest of keeping (or trying to keep) this as brief but still thorough as possible, this company has an F rating w/ the BBB so we can start there. That being said, their F rating is already a huge red flag. Should you be so unlucky as to live somewhere these people have a contract, let this be your warning, they are extremely difficult to work w/ & VERY rude. Unprofessional to say the least.The tow truck will purposely target your vehicle once you've expressed dissatisfaction w/ their predatory practices, regardless if they're completing an illegal tow. I'm glad they have so many negative reviews online everywhere, bc this serves as proof of their abuse of the laws & their power. They can't just brush this off & say everyone is lying, which seems to be what they resort to doing to defend themselves. The proof is in all of these horror stories people have shared. They all coincide in the same areas, rudeness, disrespect, illegal practices, damages to vehicles just to name a few. I highly recommend recording all of your conversations should you have to deal w/ them bc they claim their calls are "recorded" yet as you may have already guessed, the validity of their audio files is questionable at best. Conveniently they'll only have some of them available, if that. Make sure to fact check what they're telling you too cause spitting out a bunch of info about laws & ordinances & rules is just another of their intimidation tactics meant to try to confuse & take advantage of a person already in distress because they towed their car. This company just wants to take advantage of & abuse people, & then demand they get paid IN CASH or they won't release your vehicle. They're scam artists operating between loopholes in the law & getting rich off of other people's actually hard earned money, all the while being rude & disrespectful just bc they can. read more
