We called Hymes to remove a large river birch tree from our property. First off, the woman who answered the call was so very polite and professional. Jaime Solis (a licensed arborist) came to give us an estimate to remove the tree and grind down stump that afternoon. He was extremely professional and very cognizant of our landscaping and fence very close to the tree. We agreed on the price (and to our surprise) they were available that afternoon to remove the tree. Since it had rained, the stump removal would have to be delayed so as not to damage our lawn with the heavier grinder. Watching them remove the tree piece by piece was fascinating and so skilled. Several days later, they returned to grind the large stump down to below ground level. They cleaned everything up no damage done to landscaping of fence.They sure know what they are doing! The sons did a fine job of doing as requested, including protecting the neighbor's 2 bordering/shadowed spruce and pine trees from any damage, while pruning my large willow. They took care with the large boom to prevent collateral damage while pruning the willow too. When asking these folks for an estimate or cutting service, you'd better be ready for action: they are likely to respond within 24 hr., in my experience. read more

Called for an estimate, Owner came and was VERY knowledgeable. Helped us decide what would be healthy to cut back on our apple tree, counseled us about our ash, and gave opinions on some previously damaged trees in our yard. The crew was able to come the same day and were efficient and skilled. They cleaned up very well after the work was done. Would 10/10 use again! read more

I called them twice asking about an estimate and was assured both times that someone would get back to me, but no one ever did. I finally gave up and went with another company. Either business is so great that they can't get to everyone, or they aren't very good about customer service/response. read more

The answering service said they would forward the message on to the on call person, after 3 hours we had not received a call back. The owner was quick to respond and had same day service. However the service provided was not as agreed upon. When I phoned in my concern the owner was argumentative and said it was my mistake. He would not come back to finish the job. I would not recommend this service to anyone. read more
