First job was an removal of a small dead leaning tree to start things off. We liked their work and we have with their help found another larger dead Ash tree on our property and work was requested a few days later to chop/saw it down safely as it was between two houses. We were nervous about it crushing the house in the future. They did exactly what we requested to stack the logs and branches in two different piles. The 3rd time they came over because there's another low risk dead large Ash tree leaning towards the creek. Lately we have been converting the area around the creek into a campsite for personal use. Hawkeye Tree Service trimmed the squeaking Mulberry tree and chopped then fell down the dead Ash tree at our request to leave it where it's going to fall for me to have fun chainsawing it myself. This so called tree service took me for 500 dollars this winter. first showed up December 30th and…read moreleft tracks in my yard as the ground was un thawed. spent a hour and then told me my oak tree needs to come down because he said the cavity in an old limb that was trimmed years ago was rotted into the main trunk and wanted an extra 4,000 dollars to remove it. I called a ceterfied arborist witch confirmed there was no problem with the tree as burr oak trees heal wounds on their own as it was compartilizing healing itself. and there was no rot into the main trunk!!!!!! They said it could last for years Idid send this moron a text right after and telling him this and said nothing against you but glad I got a second opinion. At that time this crook blocked my phone and I had no idea. But when I called him this spring to let him know he missed over 70 % of the dead limbs after the tree started budding out I hired him to remove. my call would not go through. Finally I used my wife's phone and the excuses started because he answered. He then had the audiaciy to tell me he did a wonderful job and my tree is dying !!!!! I told him to come down and bring your arborist certificate and pictures you took in the fall and look as the dead limbs over my house are still dead for 3 years now are still there!!!!!!! This idiot has no clue what he is look'ing for and even trimmed one limb that was not even dead. He has refused to come down here because he knows he is a scammer!!!!!! They were friendly and professional and you could clearly see that safety was high priority.
