There has been no response of any kind. In any business relationship between a customer and a business owner, trust is a key ingredient. Phil Chapline broke this trust when he suggested that I contact him if future problems developed. When I needed help, he chose to ignore a paying customer who he had no conflict with. As a result, I definitely would not recommend Chapline Electronics...can't trust this business.

Then I gave Chapline computers a call. He also told me it would probably be 2-3 days. However he was able to give me a probable diagnosis over the phone with a corresponding cost estimate (under $100). I decided to drop the computer off at Chapline. Instead of the 2-3 day wait I was expecting, he asked me if I had a few minutes, proceeded to take the computer apart and replace the power supply and send me home with a repaired computer 15 minutes later - all for less than $100! As I earn my living using this computer every day, I was extremely happy with this good old-fashioned, excellent customer service. Although I'm sure they can't offer that sort of turnaround time (or price) on most repair jobs I will nevertheless be using them for all my computer repair needs in the future.

He was very considerate and worked with me to minimize my downtime by ordering the storage and then scheduling the upgrade after the parts arrived. To my delight the storage upgrade Adam ordered provided for an enclosure that allows me to use the 128 GB storage removed from the MacBook as external storage.

I called Pensive and Chris fit us in right away - he quickly identified the problems (and there were many), worked to get us a temp fix and then came back a few days later to install new wiring, and set up a mesh system that actually works! Chris is not only great at what he does, he's friendly, takes the time to explain what he did (so that I can do my best to maintain it), gave me tons of advice, "future-proofed" the installation in case I wanted to switch to fiber optic and was incredibly patient with my dogs who loved him and wanted to "help."
