Very solid spot for a date night, couple's brunch, or a family meal!…read moreThis place is a great option whether you're looking for a romantic date night, a relaxed brunch as a couple, or even bringing the whole immediate family. It's definitely family-friendly, though I wouldn't recommend it for a very large group since seating seems a bit limited. For a standard family of 3-5, though, it should work just fine. The food was genuinely excellent. They make their corn tortillas in-house, which really elevates the dishes. The salsas are fresh and flavorful -- just a heads-up: the habanero salsa is seriously spicy! If you're not used to really hot food, I'd steer clear of that one. My wife ordered the chilaquiles and she's pretty picky when it comes to authenticity and traditional flavors. She really enjoyed it overall and said the flavors were spot-on. Her only small note was that it was a bit overly sauced. That said, they were very generous with the meat, which made it satisfying and delicious. I went with the surf and turf tacos (shrimp and steak). They were really tasty -- the combination worked well, and the homemade tortillas helped tie everything together. My only minor critique is that they could have used just a touch more seasoning. I ended up adding a little salt to bring out the flavors. The one area where they could improve is the customer service. When we arrived, we were seated right away, but then we sat for about 15 minutes without anyone coming over to take our order. We actually had to get their attention, and at one point we even moved to a different table before a server finally noticed us. Once the food came out, no one really checked back on us during the meal either. The staff wasn't rude at all -- just a bit inattentive and slow on service. Overall, we'd definitely come back for the food. With a little more attention from the waitstaff, this spot could easily be a 5-star experience.

This place has no esthetic or good food. I feel like they should focus on being a coffee/juice bar. The restrooms are in a weird place and weird paint on them. I guess they wanted for them to look rustic, idk... the tables also weird placement and then they have this area where I guess you can buy groceries with an almost empty fridge like why???... the staff is really bad... they where all together hanging out by the restroom area. Again the placement of this place is almost like they had intended to make it be an upscale coffee/juice bar which it would be great if they only focus on that. But back to the staff. All the women waitresses acted as if they should be the ones cater too. The manager on the phone the whole time while being visible to the guests. I asked my waitress for a coke and water she looked at me like I had asked for something from mars. She replied a coke? I said yes please. She got me the water but not the coke. I even thought I might be wrong and they don't sale that here. I looked at the large menu of juices/smoothies and in smaller print I see Coca-Cola. A waiter asked if I was ok I guess he must of seen my look of confusion. I asked him if they sold cokes bc I had asked for it and my waitress never brought it. He said ok. The waitress brought it over. I got out to eat 3 times a week and I know I will not get the same service every where and sometimes without us knowing subconsciously our waitresses/waiter might not vibe with us and thats ok. But don't act like the guest owes you the life you want. Maybe a little self reflect will help get you get the life you want. Back to the menu. They had a menu with multiple pages but most of it was the same menu like why have a lunch and dinner menu if it's almost the same. Most of the menu are tacos. We're in Houston where there's no lack of tacos. Honestly I feel like the people that go here just go to be seen or say they went to "river oaks" which if you're from Houston you know that's not river oaks. Anyways they should stick to being a juice/coffee bar and stop selling these wack tacos because it almost makes it look like they're fake Mexican food
