He kept the energy of the group up the whole night, even through the typically boring experience of being released from our tables to go to the buffet line. Ethan made it fun with a hilarious and totally random "trivia" game. He did a nice job of managing the group and the flow of the guests, and sped the game up as needed. He was so fun to listen to and he kept it real and very funny while being respectful especially when introducing people for their speeches, etc. When the dance floor opened up, that's when he really got to shine. He's an actual DJ who mixes songs, vs just playing full streams of songs one after the other, making the dance floor the go-to spot all night. It was never empty and we never had any of those awkward lulls where everyone just stands around waiting for the next song. He let us know early on that he takes requests, so I was off to show him my list, which he took a photo of. He even joined in with dancing and singing! We met with Umang a few times virtually before our wedding and he walked us through all of the different parts of the Gujarati ceremony we would need music for. They are organized, quick to respond, and easy to work with. We got married at a non-traditional venue so he worked closely with us and our planner to make sure the AV for our Garba/Sangeet in a literal field was perfect! They traveled to us in Texas and did all the work to find the AV rentals they would need, which made our lives easier. Having been to other weddings they had DJ'd before we knew they were going to be great musically (both for Indian and non-Indian music) and would curate the perfect vibe. Our friends and family still talk about the music at our wedding! But the most impressive thing about this team is how prepared they were and how thorough their backup plan was. Our venue lost power half way through the reception because of an epic thunderstorm and did not have a generator. As the bride I had literally no idea the power was gone because of Umang and his team! They had backup battery powered speakers and LED lights that they seamlessly transitioned to kept the rest of the reception and the afterparty going for many hours after the lights went out! We were so impressed by them and thankful they were there! We truly were lucky to have them on our team that weekend!

Not only did he coordinate with the vendors to ensure things ran smoothly, he coordinated with the bride, groom, father of the groom AND father of the bride. NOT an easy task when you have two very opinionated fathers... We had a list of "do not play" and they deflected certain requests well without offending any guests. Umang also "MC-ed" the night; The schedule ran smoothly. Transitions went well. All names pronounced correctly. Cost-wise they were upfront with all expenses and there were no surprise charges. Most importantly- music was off the hook. We had a packed dance floor all night and had many comments after how fun everyone had dancing. Overall- highly recommend. While I hope this is the only wedding we hire them for- will definitely rebook for the next DJ event! Rating system: 5.0- obsessed. Wouldn't change a thing. Wish I lived here 4.0 - a must go place.
