As other reviews have mentioned, his frequent verbose and esoteric tangents felt disconnected and unrelated to what I shared in session. Upon reflection, his ego seemed to take precedence over clinical attunement. Our many months of working together came to an end when he abruptly stopped showing up to our sessions and became unresponsive to all forms of contact. His clinical abandonment took place shortly after I shared that I had mistakenly been paying him double my co-pay for each session and would be adjusting it to the appropriate amount moving forward. The timing of his abrupt absence is suspicious to say the least. Psychotherapy a subjective experience; yet, the numerous negative public reviews of Dr. Tepaske speak to what patients can expect from him.

first she seemed like the doctor you want to trust. she says all the right things and makes a no…read morefuzz approach like most experienced doctors-and I like that. 2 problems I have though: 1) she convinced us to vaccinate our 2-month old boy against hepatitis-b. after dong a little research I find out it's only transmitted through sexual intercourse and blood and NOT recommended for newborns 2) on this and another occasion we asked her if the vaccinations (also flu shots) contain any Mercury, which she denied...turns out it was untrue and very common knowledge actually. 3) when paying the bills we noticed she charges a $30 consultation fee for each shot. her consultations consist of a few pages to read that were quickly printed out. in retrospect I would say she might have been a great doctor at her prime but now she should retire because science moved on already and she is not on top of things.

I am a huge believer in having a toolkit of ways to help and take care of myself and lately, I just needed an extra push. I'd also had capital-T traumas happen in my past that I have forgiven but find that my body often continued to live in *that fearful state. I didn't want to feel nervous all the time, anymore. When I first met Jon, truthfully I was nervous about going into a stranger's home since he runs the business out of his home. I was pleasantly surprised to be welcomed into a calm, tranquil living room that is set up like a clinic except more homey and peaceful. I feel like the supportive environment has been a part of my positive experience. My initial consultation lasted about 45 minutes. Jon was super engaged. He was thoughtful, kind, warm, and very knowledgeable about this science and art. I didn't google too much about neurofeedback so I wouldn't train my body to expect a certain outcome which really helped with my unbiased ability to recognize the immediate difference after one treatment. Jon clearly knows what he's doing and it's really helpful and comforting to work with someone who is invested in my body re-learning peace and stability. Fast forward: I am about to go in for my 6th session. Every subsequent 30-minute session has ended with me feeling like I just finished a 3-hour meditation session. This has been an investment but considering how my baseline of calm has returned, was worth everything ten-fold. I don't think I'll need to go in as frequently as I have been but am planning to do neurofeedback tune-ups every month or so as my work/life demands it.
