I had initially wanted to get it without added sugar but I was advised that the sugar level of this drink was fixed. Fortunately, I didn't find it too sweet at all. The mashed taro is sweetened and the brown sugar tapioca pearls are sweet, but I don't think they added additional sugar to the milk, so I was a happy camper. The taro is warm, but even with the less ice I ordered, after I mixed up the drink it was sufficiently cold. Service was neutral, but efficient. The lone staff member seemed really disinterested in serving customers. I got my drink rather quickly. Although I noted I was the only customer in the store, lol. White Alley Bubble Tea is the only non-chain bubble tea that was within walking distance from our hotel room, so I really wanted to try it and I'm glad I did.
