Everything is overpriced there and because Geneva's top restaurants prey on the unrefined palates of bankers, businessmen and policymakers who have to travel through Geneva, it leaves people looking for an affordable, high quality meal really out of luck. Lucky for you, you can travel to the neighboring French town of Ferney Voltaire (take the F bus) and enjoy a fantastic prix fixe meal at Hotel de France for the same price and get in addition to a starter, plate, and dessert -- an amuse bouche as well as a selection of cheese from one of the most diverse cheese carts I've yet encountered in Europe. I generally turn my nose at hotel restaurants but Hotel de France does a good job of putting together a menu that will please anyone. Vegetarian options available. Each plate is composed and recognizes a need for balancing flavors and textures. Each plate is artistically presented.
