This is a very nice homey hotel in the small town of Bayeux. This hotel is tucked within a small street, but it is in the center of many places that you can visit in the Normandy area. It's walking distance to the Bayeux Cathedral and from the Musée de la Tapisserie de Bayeux. There are also some local shops & restaurants that are walking distance from the hotel too. This hotel also provides tours that you can reserve for visiting the D-Day locations, or for Le Mont Saint-Michel. Omaha Beach is very close by to this hotel, but Le Mont Saint-Michel is about a 90-minute drive. Breakfast is served here in the morning by 7:30am. If you choose to dine here in the morning, the cost for breakfast will be added to your hotel bill. The price is very acceptable and it's all cooked fresh too. It's a convenient place to dine at, without dressing up and going out to look for a place to get breakfast. As for the room, it's just okay, but it meets all the necessities. Every room are quite different from one another, so the photos that I posted of my room, may look very different than the one you get. They do have Wi-Fi, but it's very slow; but their service & hospitality from their staff is excellent! I would stay at this hotel again the next time I visit Bayeux & Normandy.

This quaint hotel is in the perfect location for visiting all of the Normandy and Historical sites you want to visit. The staff here are great! The daily breakfasts are yummy and it's so close to be able to walk into the village to shop, eat and visit the Cathedral and museums.

Front of the hotel at night !

This was an easy five stars ! This was such an amazing hotel and the staff / owners were awesome! They helped us book trips through Normandy Excursions which was excellent. Comfy lodging at a reasonable price and perfect for our D-Day and Mont St Michel trips. Great location in the center of Bayeux with lots of restaurant options nearby.

We were flying out of Paris the following day, if it wasn't for their help, we would have missed all of Normandy.

I was placed in a room with a mini split that worked fine for cooling. Now the negatives. The room was at the top of a very narrow winding staircase. Not easy to get up or down those stairs after walking around Paris for days and hauling luggage. Though I could walk around the bed so floor space was more generous than some other rooms I had to watch not to bump my head on the ceiling and I'm not a tall person. There was no coffee maker in the room or an electric kettle to heat water for tea. The bath was a small plastic enclosed shower with one soap dispenser. Water cups were paper, placed on the edge of a small basin with stacked wash cloths and hand towels. Aside from the stairs the worst part was a heavy perfumed smell which was nauseating and took some time to adjust to. The white pillowcases had several long dark hairs and the duvet cover had some staining. Were I not booked for just one night in a very busy town I would have relocated. The price was high for quality of accommodations, $306.84 for one night. My least favorite of 4 hotels across France during my travels and one I would not stay at again.

We loved another day spent exploring the wonderful historical town of Bayeaux and its beautiful Cathedrel Notre Dame. We stayed in a spacious, modern, and comfortable room in the building that was once most likely a carriage house. A stream was right outside our door, and lovely flowers and trees dotted the property. We had an outdoor seating area in the back overlooking the tennis courts, and there was seating in spots around the property. Dinner was served in the main cheateu and was one of the best meals we ate in all of France. The desserts were like works of art and tasted absolutely amazing. Meals are charged to the room and paid for at check out which is so convenient. Service was fantastic and accomodating, and staff cheerfully arranged a taxi service for us a few times. Off the beaten path but within walking distance to train station. I would highly recommend if you are looking for peace, quiet, and the beauty of nature.

The environment is classy elegant but not old crappy that everything is ready to fall apart. Free Wi-fi is lame. We were given some 2 hours usage slips to get on their wi-fi. Who use internet only 2 hours for the entire stay? We ended up keep asking for extra slips for wi-fi such as hassle. Breakfast is soso. I don't feel any items are home made and very limited selection. Given there are so many restaurants in Bayeux with much lower price. You don't miss anything. The Chateau location is great, center to everything. We had great time in their spacious duplex. This is relaxing experience.

This was disappointing as I had spoken to someone on the phone confirming that I could use a different card when I arrived as the card I wanted to use wouldn't work with their online system. The room was spacious, especially the bathroom. We did have ask for the carpet to be vacuumed. The walls were surprisingly thin. I'd recommend earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The hot water was plentiful, even midday. Unfortunately the hot tub was out of order and that was a feature that sold me on the property. Breakfast buffet was pretty good and convenient.

We booked via booking.com! We arrived really late at night around 11:30pm, tried to check in but they couldn't find our reservation. After waiting 20+ min for the attendant & mgmt to figure things out, we were given a room at the next door Hotel de Luxemborg. Apparently Brunville & Luxemborg are sister hotels, managed by the same folks. There was free wi-fi in our room, amenities were normal, can't complain too much since it's just a place to sleep prior to the next morning when we had to get up for our tour in Normandy. Room was very warm, open the windows for air! :)
