Best Western Plus Hôtel Paris Orly Airport - Broken shower rod and tile in bathroom

EXTREMELY Horrible experience staying here! The staff was rude, condescending, and racist to black…read moreguests (except for Cherry who is super amazing). They refused to change or room or fix the shower that was broken. The broken shower lead to water leaking so we had to put towels down to soak the water up. We reported the issue to the receptionist but instead we were told there was "nothing that could be done". The refrigerator in the room was also not working told it the issue would be fixed or replaced but never addressed it afterward. None of the ice machines in the hotel work. Also, the location is bad if you get in late because there is nowhere to eat around the location except burger king, and the hotel restaurant is open only in the am for breakfast and happy hour so food or room service for late evening guests arrivals. Wrote an email to the manager 3 weeks ago about the condition of our stay and he hasn't even responded with an acknowledgment response. This definitely is a rating scam because it is unquestionably NOT a 4-star hotel. Very disappointing experience and definitely NOT worth the stay here!

Just stayed here for a flight layover and the memory of it feels like a nightmare. Did not sleep a wink because I was scared and HOT. It was a million degrees and we could not get it any colder. Also smelled so bad. Hallways smelled like cigarettes and room smelled awful. Genuinely was just scared and disgusted.

It is owned and managed by some backward thinking individuals. Take the sloppy thug-looking guy at the front desk named Hardwin. We have had numerous problems on this 5-day stay. But tonight Mr. Abrasive Hardwin says that tonight they are starting the new policy to not offer Diamond members free bottles of water. He says it's too expensive and they have a filtered tap water system to fill up old bottles, which I don't have. Mind you, in the prior 3 nights we have been provided with several comped bottles of water, from at least 3 other managers who informed us that because I am a Diamond member we take care of it. But not with Hardwin at the helm. He said, I don't care if you are Diamond or not; no more water. Again, he was totally rude about it and the only thing I can think of him is that he must be the owner's son. If not, Hilton should carefully review his track record. Nobody acts like this out of the blue; he must have been acting like this to many others in the past! Nobody needs this guy's pity nonsense.

Thankfully, Mercure hotel is also one of the first hotel stops that the FREE airport bus will drive to because the last 2 hotel stops could not add any more people and they ended up needing to find another method to get to the airport. The Mercure Hotel was surprisingly, pleasantly quiet. The air conditioner couldn't get the room any cooler, so we just slept without blankets. Just don't ask for extras, like an extra pillow because they won't give it to you. There is also a cheap bus stop (located on the same side as the Mercure Hotel) located immediately in front of the Mercure Hotel that will take you towards Paris. But you need to take the Metro to get the rest of the way to Paris. Mercure Hotel Restaurant made a solid burger and pizza. The burgers and fries were cooked perfectly. Although the cheese on the pizza was quite thick, my daughter thought it was a perfect amount. We didn't pay extra for their breakfast. There's also a McDonald's located next door. Don't forget to make a stop at the Les Saveurs de Rungis bakery which is located around 1 mile from the Mercure Hotel. Sadly, this bakery is not on Trip Advisor/Yelp but was more delicious than the 3 bakeries recommended to me by my Parisian friend. Get the Merveilleux Aux Chocolate! I regret not trying the sandwiches here.

The restaurant really needs a zero star. Wide open seating that you're not allowed to sit, i was told I had to sit on the dirty table right on the walkway. I opted for the only other choice at the bar. Ordered the burger and asked for no mayo only to be told it wasn't really mayo it was just similar. It was real battle to find out if it was mandatory and eventually the server agreed to reluctantly remove it. I ordered some water and right on front me their busboy dropped off a carafe from another table, they poured it out and then refilled it. Same for the glasses. Just insane. I ordered a glass of wine. The burger came complete with the may of course, managed to dump the bun and thankfully it was a light coating that seemed happily attached to the soggy bun. So I had steak Hache instead and relived memories of summer holidays in France as a kid. I was almost done and asked for another glass of wine to polish off the burger, the server told me I should wait and finish my glass and then she would give me another. I paid the bill and left....
