But the beds are comfortable, shower has great water pressure, and the staff is extremely friendly. Location is great as you can walk around town easily. The beds were also excellent and the bathrooms spacious. We were totally blown away by the quality. To top it all off, the location is perfect. Just a few blocks from the city center, and as a result many restaurants. We never had to walk more than 10 minutes any evening for our dinner reservations. We were pleasantly surprised to find an attached bar, full coffee service, and breakfast area in addition to the hotel. We arrived late in the day after a grueling day of biking. The owner was very welcoming and nice. At about seven pm our group went out in search of a restaurant only to find nothing open due to holiday. The hotel owner heard about our dilemma and out of great kindness, fed us food from her own freezer and beer from her bar. The hotel is not the fanciest but the customer service is the best!

The largest and most intricate gardens of any of the chateaus in the valley. Some of them are flowers and shrubs, others are fruit-bearing plants, but they're all beautiful. A nice touch, there are a couple boutiques where you can buy souvenirs, of course, but one of the boutiques is geared towards gardening, which is very on brand for this chateau. Also nice, you can buy seeds from the gardens for your home garden, very nice touch! If you're planning to travel here and have a home garden, look into your country's laws regarding bringing home seeds as that could be quite the nice souvenir.
