My wife came across them on Yelp! and we hired them to do the photo and video shoot for my parents' 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary. Mind you, we hired them less than a month before the actual event. David and Jerome took the time to do a phone call with us and walk through the entire itinerary of the day from the ceremony at Mission San Diego through the entire reception at the Gaylord Pacific. I really enjoyed working with all of them. They were so kind, warm, and detail oriented. I can't say enough about Fate Studios and how they made this event a truly memorable event! I also pitched an idea to Jerome about doing an AI video of my parents, describing their love story and how they met 50 years ago in the Philippines. Jerome has years of experience as a filmmaker in the Philippines and has worked for one of their large TV networks there, so he's a pro. I was nervous that we wouldn't have enough time to take this video from start to finish, but Jerome assured me that he could deliver. We presented the surprise AI video to my parents after we showed their slide show and the crowd was truly mesmerized! Many of our guests told me that the AI video was an awesome concept. But let me say that David, Jerome, and their team were awesome! I feel as though I gained some friends for life. The second I met them in person it felt like I had known them for a long time. They also knew how to get my parents to take pictures. You know, once you get older the excitement for these kinds of things is not the same as when you first got married :). So if you need a great team of folks who just make you feel at ease with a big event, look no further! After reading numerous photographer reviews and looking through several galleries, one very in particular caught my eye. I contacted Zouls Photography. Wanted to get about 4 poses, 2 photos each for a total of 8, with a max spend of $150-200. The cheapest option was $139 for a single photo. Second cheapest was $250 for 15 photos. Absolutely, ridiculous price when I can pay for a private photographer to shoot in the field for $400 and send me 60 edited shots. Or go to Sphere self serve photo and get a 15 min shoot with 60 edited shots for only $89. Employees and management were rude and would not work with me at all on pricing. They also would not refund me the $40 I spent to reserve my 30 minute slot less than 24 hours ago. They had open availability all day today, I wonder why. Very disappointed, this is not a way to treat a potential customer! You could've had my business if you just tried a little harder, sad!

After reviewing her website and chatting with her on the phone she was hired for the job! Leading up to the party her communication skills were excellent, she even sent me a text the day of the party to confirm what time she would be there. She showed up early and was ready to shoot! She brought a mask but I told her we were comfortable with her not wearing it, she was prepared either way which is lovely in these "Covid times". She captured the essence of the party and let everyone relax and keep their phones away. As the host of the party I could relax and enjoy time with all of the guests instead of worrying about getting group shots. I must admit I live for a good candid photo and she got so many great ones of friends and family in our backyard, I'll cherish those photos for the rest of my life.
