They did what they said they would do, ON TIME, as expected and with out any hiccups. Our "quote" was our end price, they were very professional. We wanted to purchase our own solar set up, and do it differently than the "traditional" install. We just needed a company to take us thru the permitting, HOA approvals, wiring and installation. They came out and gave us a quote and we're helpful with advice. We loved how they were open minded to our needs and requests. We interviewed 6 "big" name solar companies but chose this company in the end. Because we felt they understood our vision and did not try to "upsell" us on something else. They did a great job, were honest, had great communication, and as I stated above..on-time, diligent, and completed the work with out a hitch. We love our home solar system and have highly recommended this company to friends and neighbors. If your considering solar, they should be one of your top considerations.

I signed a "monitoring" agreement with Sol Partners, LLC/Solar MD in 2024. They seemed to be…read moreresponsive and knowledgeable at first. They "remapped" my system and gained access to monitor the system through Solar Edge. Subsequent problems with underperforming panels have not been resolved. I made a request in late 2025 to check out underperforming panels and that problem has not yet been fixed as of May 2026! Meanwhile, when I call and ask for a tech they tell me everybody is busy and they will contact me that night, but they do not call me back. I have followed up with numerous phone calls. I have subsequently purchased an SCB from Top Tier Solar Solutions, which took have my array off the Solar Edge app until inspection is passed and PTO from Dominion received and Solar MD (the monitoring company) never even noticed they could not see half of the panels on the site manager. In addition, a claim to the manufacturer of the panels has been made (to replace 1 panel) and months later and after my inquires to the owner of Solar MD, no action has been completed. I spoke directly to the owner, Mario Reyes, asking about the panel replacement and he could not speak with me but said he would call me back. He did not call me back. A week later I called again and he said he thought he had the panel and would call me back Thurs or Fri to figure it all out. He did not call me back. That was 3 weeks ago. I would never recommend Solar MD to anyone. I feel they are evasive, misleading and at best unreliable. Many of the techs and office personnel do not speak English well and communications with them is very difficult.

The Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation recommends 10% down. I am not comfortable with contractor that requires 50% upfront. They also did not list out what equipment they would be using in the quote provided. Essentially asking me to agree to a price with no written commitment in the quote on what materials would be used. I let Luis know I was not moving forward under those circumstances. I'm gonna do at this point and so my husband finally got up and showed him the door and walked outside with him and I heard my husband over heard it. I overheard my husband telling him oh I'll let her do her research but I'm going to buy them and I blasted my husband when he came back inside and let him know. I overheard him but anyway long story short my husband ended up NOT purchasing the solar panels and I'm grateful to God for that because I see online a lot of those solar panel companies are scamming people trying to sell them solar panel contracts for 25 years as the case was with us! and it's diabolical I mean and then you don't own the solar panels that's just renting them. It's a scam and it is just crazy I've heard online people stating that they don't even work the way you're supposed to and they have to come and service them so yeah, be aware of these people coming to your door!
