TL;DR: Actual Roofers themselves did a fine job, the price and scope of work left alot to be desired compared to other roofers. They redid my roof. Sadly, i didn't research as much as I maybe shouldve. They bid about $3000 higher than 2 other quotes i had recieved (one of which was also a GAF certified roofer offering the same certifications) . After i signed, then they would not price match for some lame reason or even consider lowering the cost or including doing drip edge flashing which the other company offered to do at the lower price. Come to find out as well, they did not recommend it, or consider installing drip edge flashing when i didn't have any at all on the roof which i wasnt aware of. When the roof was off i could definitely see some fascia rotting adn damage, so i get to do that myself now instead of when its easiest to do with the roof off.... The actual roof itself seems to have been done well, which for the price it better have been. but I can't help but feel i overpayed and was underdelivered... read more

From Tom who gave an estimate for repair to the office staff who kept me informed about appointments or a delay and the workers who were efficient, neat and on time, I would recommend them wholeheartedly. I had a rocky start with WT Anderson but it turned out great in the end. I built a home with Stephen Alexander Homes in 2013 and we've had nothing but roofing troubles since then. It has leaked in the downstairs in-law suite (no second floor there), in our upstairs ROG to the point during an ice storm it seeped into the house and ruined walls that had to be repaired during an ice storm, and my master bathroom to name a few. We've complained to the builders after a leak one-month into our new home and had WT back out - set up by the builder - to rebuild the pitch and re-flash certain areas, and we had another roofer come and fix two areas that leaked that weren't properly done, we've done everything. Finally, this past Feb (2019 so 4.5-5 years in) I had had enough and contacted both the builder, and WT Anderson myself to discuss how I could have a less than 5 year old roof that constantly leaks on a brand-new high-end home. I assumed this was a problem with the original roof install and I spoke to May, in their office, who I explained the situation to. I also complained to my builder's warranty office same day about how I did not believe I should have to pay for this repair. Both began working together but I no longer trusted a "middle-man" (my builders) and continued to work with May myself. She quickly sent out John to walk my entire roof and look it over with a fine-tooth comb to once and for all figure out what my issues were and solve them. I was so upset, I wanted a completely new roof, having slow leaks in various parts of the home that require drywall and paint repair constantly, were awful in a brand-new home you just built and I was at my wit's end. It turns out I had a ton of roof issues - not the least of which being: I had nail holes in shingles from toe boards left by careless contractors who came AFTER the roof had been done to do finish work like ventilation, AC pipes, etc. Most of those issues were by careless third-party folks who left a mess for me to worry about - caulk all over shingles, nail holes carelessly left without being patched in shingles, awful. People should be ashamed. WT took a ton of photos of the roof which were horrible to see knowing it's been that way for years. It had been slowly leaking in to certain areas for all of the past 5 years. Also, the finishes had been done using cheap plastic pipes instead of higher quality and the AC contractors had not properly sealed them. So they were leaking and already cracking and breaking down. WT Anderson was empathetic, kind, prompt, and offered to do the repairs for only the cost of the materials and no labor if my home builders did not make this right for me. Fortunately, SAH did decide to pay for this repair, so I did not have to come out of pocket more than I already have for roof repairs (ha) but WT was prepared to do it right and were exceedingly professional and understanding about how upset I was even when this honestly was not their fault. Repairs were completed quickly with a great team who took a lot of care to make sure everything was done properly and even found a few other issues while on my roof tearing out old shingles that they went ahead and fixed for me. May was excellent. This ordeal restored my faith a little bit in contractors. read more

Other than a mistake in the order by the consultant/salesperson, which lead to a significant delay (manufacturing delays), the project was well run. If I ever had questions, very importantly, the office was responsive and easy to track the back and forth in an email chain. Also, the installers Nestor and Juan are great to work with. They seemingly have great reviews,- but my experience with their window installation leaves a lot to be desired. First,- they were supposed to install new construction windows. They cut off the fins and installed as replacement. Got a small refund. Miscommunication,- Fine. Then, I find out that they don't insulate around the windows unless there's a "Big Gap". Well,- I'm taking the stools out so I can redo them (Reno Project, they were told this would happen), and there's lot's of easily accessible gaps. Some so big, the amount of caulk used to close them up from the inside is insane. Could have fit plenty of insulation in there with an inch gap from drywall to window frame, an inch+ from the rough opening to the window frame. Some of the Window Wrap doesn't even go down the front of the house, just on top of the frame and onto the stool itself. They came back to fix some cracks around the exterior window trim. Taking a look at it,- the gaps are still there and now there's just huge blobs of caulk that will likely make it hard for water to run down smoothly... And the holes and cracks are still not filled. I can look from the inside of the house, straight outside through some of these holes with the drywall removed. Pretty sure drywall isn't waterproof. So now that I'm at this point, I'm removing each window that's held up by 4 screws with no shims, to reapply window wrap and properly square the windows up, and apply foam. Making sure that there's no holes in the top of the trim so that water won't leak into the frame,- and filling the gaps left from caulking the exterior trim to the window. It's not bad for 2 of the 5 windows I've peeled back the drywall on, but that doesn't inspire confidence. I paid them to do it since I'm already redoing drywall, painting, redoing the floors, tiling, etc. While working full time. Now I know I should have just done it myself to start. Luckily they have a great 3 year warranty. But I don't plan on using it since I'm going in and making sure everything is good before drywalling everything back up. I know things have been crazy for renovations and all that but this is way under the quality level I was expecting for the price I paid,- even after the discount. Hopefully they aren't rushing like this for everyone. read more

I had new siding installed by WT Anderson and I could not be happier with the results. The old sheathing on the house was that brown board garbage that you could push your finger through with little resistance. Omar and crew replaced all the brown board with plywood before installing the new siding. It is SIGNIFICANTLY more quiet inside the house now. The new siding is awesome. The attention to detail shown by Omar and his team is exceptional. Originally, there was not enough siding to finish the house. It took a few weeks to get the rest of the order, but the team made sure the unfinished side was properly treated to withstand the weather until the new siding could be mounted. It will be a couple more years before I will need to have roof work done. I will not hesitate to reach out to WT Anderson to do the work as they have shown themselves to be very customer oriented. One last thing I should mention is that their price for the siding job (including doing the new sheathing and window wraps) was significantly lower than a couple of other quotes I received. I made sure to quote the exact same equipment with each vendor and WT Anderson really hit the mark on their price-point. read more

Our management Company recommended WT Anderson Roofing, to use for our roof replacement project. Eight homeowners out of thirteen participated. When the roofs were ready for the new shingles to be placed, a delivery truck carrying shingles for three roofs parked in my driveway without getting my permission or telling me in advance. They subsequently crushed and cracked several parts of my driveway. WT Anderson Roofing contacted the shingle distributor about the incident and they acknowledged their responsibility. WT Anderson told me they needed me to get three concrete company estimates. After a week of making phone calls I could only get one company to come to my house to look at the damage. That was Bell Concrete Construction LLC of Va. Beach. The day of Bell's work I told their Forman (Robert) that the concrete that was poured did not look like the rest of my driveway. He told me it had to dry and cure and it would look right. It still is not right and the work was completed in September. After the workman left I received a phone call from the Foreman of Bell Concrete Construction asking me to approve the job, so WT Anderson would release their check. I know nothing about concrete so I took the Foreman for his word, that what they poured was the correct concrete and would look right after it cured. I learned about concrete since then and was told the rest my driveway was aggregate. I requested WT Anderson to come to my home and inspect the problem. They never acknowledged my request. The owner of WT Anderson told me to call Bell and talk to them. I did not hire Bell Concrete Construction, WT Anderson did. WT Anderson's owner told me to call the distributing company that I did not hire, Anderson did. These companies are stonewalling me. I highly recommend not using these companies. WT Anderson installed a new roof and gutters on my house invoice dated 4/27/2018 I had a issue with the roof and they came out and maid adjustments I'll call cosmetic. A couple of days later they installed the roof and there is a problem NOW and has always been a problem since day 1. I use to be able to sit out side at the front door even though it was raining; now when it rains there is a constant flow of rain; running straight down the curve at the front of the house. There is a L shape right in the corner at the door; the rain pours at the front door cant not sit out side when it rains.There was a drip from the middle of the gutter at the back door and after one of the company come out on a repair trips; where there was 1 drip now there is 2. There's a L shape gutter close to the back door and when it rains it is a WATERFALL where is has caved in the dirt. They have been out here at least 7 times for the same thing nothing is Better it is Worst on one repair occasion they put some kind of plates on every corner of the house 6 inches long by 2 inches hi; how discussing, I was ashamed; they should have been also. One day I stopped by the office got tired of calling them and email and suggest to the supervisor to use my water hose so that they could see my concern and the supervisor came out used the water hose and apologize and said that the next repair would fix everything the last time was early February 2020 the crew even bought a bag of dirt to fil in the water fall hole. They have made so many adjustments with the same screws that the screws are rusted and rust running down the gutter. The reason to put gutters around your house is to keep as much water from the foundation as possible. On 1 repair trip the owner told me I could call them 10 times if I needed to; I have 5 inch gutters with leaf guards. They always sent the same crew I told them it had to be the crew or the gutters. You get new gutters from a roof and gutter company. I wish that I had never heard of w t Anderson I want my HARD EARNED money back how dare you. read more

WT Anderson put on new roofs for me and my adjacent townhomes. I allowed for a a dumpster in my driveway. Anderson hired Superior Distribution to bring a flatbed truck with shingles which in turn broke my driveway. Not told nor gave permission for Superior Distribution. WT would not pay for damages, was never in on call backs and never returned calls. Their accounting staff was incompetent. A email was sent without attached invoice. The invoice had wrong address. I had WT do my roof. They were the middle bid but the guy who came out seemed the best of the contractors I got bids from so I went with him. His crew came out exactly at 0700 and were on the roof. There were a lot of rotten boards so it took them extra time but they still finished in a day. When the crew was done, they cleaned up everything and a truck picked up the dumpster the next morning. The job was pro all the way. They left nothing at the site and the shingles still look perfect after two years. I recommended them to my neighbor who hired them to fix a job another contractor had hosed up. They did a great job there too. I recently had them come out and install new gutters and was very happy with the value they offer. I trust this company to deliver and would use them again. read more

WT Anderson repaired my roof after tree damage two years ago. Because of the quality of their work, when I was able to have ancient gutters and downspouts replaced I confidently called them in. After receiving my estimate, we made arrangements for the work to begin. On the days of work, I went on to work and was able to see the work on my lunch break. What a nice job they did, the new look so crisp and clean. My only complaint is that the gutters and downspouts look so nice and new, they are highlighting the old windows really making them stand out. It went Outstanding! This was a very positive experience from start to finish. The estimator was punctual, and professional. He kept his appointment when others were cancelling because of a little rain. He answered all of my questions, and I had a lot. He followed up and communicated with me over several weeks both via email and telephone. When I selected WT Anderson to perform the work, the office personnel were excellent to work with. They scheduled the job around my schedule and answered all of my questions in the days leading up to the actual work. The crew doing the work was great as well. Very friendly and accommodating, open communication during the entire job. The crew leader communicated with me throughout the job about every aspect of the job to be sure I was happy with the progress. They completed the job in a day and cleaned up at the end. I had a lot of bad plywood requiring replacement, and they took care of that as well. After the job was complete, I had some concerns with some plywood around the chimney. WT Anderson wanted me to be completely satisfied, so they came back, removed the roofing from that area, replaced the plywood and re-roofed the area. They made no attempt to talk me out of it, or to tell me the wood there was OK. They repeatedly told me they wanted me to be completely satisfied. They even came out a third time when I found a shingle on the ground after a storm. The shingle was not from the roof but probably one that was overlooked during the cleanup. But they went on the roof to inspect and ensure there was no problems. I could go on, but suffice it to say you will not be disappointed if you hire this company. I rarely say I am 100% satisfied with a contractor's work, but in this case I am 100% satisfied. I will definitely hire WT Anderson again. read more

WT Anderson recently re-roofed our home and detached garage; replaced all the gutters and downspouts; replaced a section of soffit and replaced a window that was somehow skipped when the previous home owner had all the rest done. When we first started requesting quotes for roof replacement last year we were initially turned off by several contractors who were pushy and quick to point out why they were "the best" and we would be silly to use anyone else. This actually caused us to postpone the project and we are quite glad we did. WT Anderson was the last of 3 contractors to bid our project this spring and "save the best for last" was never more true. In addition to being the only estimator to actually get up on our roof and take actual to the inch measurements they were also the only company who were able to bid all of the pieces of the improvement without having to subcontract. The estimator arrived on time, was pleasant, knowledgeable and most importantly not pushy. Choosing WT over the other bidders was a no brainer once we got the quote back as they were the most affordable on ever line item from the roof to the window replacement. Scheduling was a breeze and the crew arrived right on time on day 1, knocking out 90% of the house roof. Day 2 they finish the house and the garage, cleaned up and were gone before 3pm. There were 2 notes of "less than total satisfaction" regarding the roofing crew and in an effort to be 100% honest in this review I would like to mention them.... First - between the 2 days of work there was no clean up. Tools left on the roof, lots of scraps in the yard ect. but this was not a big deal in the end because after all the work was completed the guys did a very thorough job of cleaning.... to the point of picking individual nails out of flower beds on their hands and knees. Secondly - more care could have been excersised around our flower beds during the demo process. We found a number of plants that were crushed by what we can only assume was falling debris while the old roofing was being removed. So roofing crew gets 9 out of 10 - highly recommended! The gutter replacement was just a quick and painless and they look great! Another little cleanup note for the gutter crew as there was a pile of cinders on the front porch (got dumped out of the old gutter upon removal) but a quick broom and dustpan sweeping and it was all good Again 9 out of 10 - highly recommended! Soffit replacement... this crew were ninja's... in/out and the new vinyl looks 1000% better than the old sagging particle board the previous owner has tacked up. Total 10! Last was that one pesky window. Due to it's size it needed to be ordered in and took quite a bit longer than anticipated to arrive but the scheduling folks in the office kept us informed and had it knocked out in and hour and a half on a Saturday morning after the window arrived on the Friday delivery. Last but not least another 9 of 10. Long story short... Easy quote, great price, quality install, good communication and most importantly a finished product that has dramatically improved the curb appeal of our home. Thanks WT Anderson read more
