This rest stop is clean inside and out... I've stopped here several times in the past month. Twice I've slept here from being too exhausted after Contracts to get all the way home. I've never had one problem with safety or anything else to that matter. Thank y'all for doing such an awesome job. Some rest stops are not safe or clean and frankly dangerous... whether it be a combination of the environment and or your efforts it's totally acknowledged and very much appreciated... Thank you from the travel gal that probably drinks too much coffee...

Restroom is mostly automated (toilet did not self flush but was designed to do so). Hand dryers, no paper towels. Inside are vending machines, information on the local geology, charge stations and water fountains. A separate inside area has a photo gallery and some State info brochures. Outside are pathways around the building through lush lawns with both covered and uncovered picnic tables and gardens. A sculpture by the entrance represents the step formations of the local area. Good amount of parking for all vehicle types.

The manager saw this and didn't want people to make a scene, pulled the man to the side, he fixed him up a plate of food. They even went outside for a bit so the manager to come back in to fix a bag of living essentials ie (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant) and a 2 liter to go. Stuff like this restores my faith in humanity. Hotel experience : I needed a place to stay since I was driving from LA to Chicago. The place looks beautiful from the outside and it's very colorful inside. The lady at the front was somewhat helpful telling me about the area even though she didn't know much about the area. The pool they have pictured on the site is actually much smaller than it really is pictured. I don't know if it's out of availability or what but I got stuck in the handicapped room. The room itself isn't that bad it was cozy. There's a bunch of odd shaped screws pertruding* through the wall that were painted over. Breakfast time I almost felt complete disappointment because they didn't have any warm food at all. Turns out they kept their warm food hidden in a corner hidden from plain view in the breakfast area. Overall it isn't a bad hotel. I Would look around first before I come back but it's definitely a consideration none the less.
