Life is certainly relative, and this maxim applies as much to rest stops as it does to everything…read moreelse. Having endured rest stops across this great land-- from porta potty hellholes in the desert southwest, to Rest stops that look more like a miniature strip mall, completely indoors and insulated from the weather, with a couple of fast food places and a gift shop-- I've seen them all. This little spot off I 29 actually had grass and vending machines and doors on the stalls. I know... You read that like it's a thing, but trust me it is. Look, I'm not staying the night here; just stopping to get a little bit of relief before our next opportunity to fill up the gas tank, figuratively and literally. Oh, and the kids always want to stop no matter how recently we just did. But as places to "drop off the kids at the pool" go, this one isn't bad. I always wonder what these places look like in the dead of winter, as we always passed through in the summer months. Then again, maybe it's best that I don't know. As others have said in other reviews: "I would totally deuce here again." Nuff said.

The bathroom was very clean which is a definite plus. I like that they put the names of the…read morebusinesses responsible for cleaning and landscaping. Maybe they will do better since we all know who is getting paid to do the work. I was shocked at the pet area. I thought the wind had blown the pet sign because it was pointed towards the freeway where there is a small strip of maybe 3ft of grass between the car and truck parking. I thought my husband was joking around but then he pointed to another sign that designated this weird little grass strip as the pet area. Next to the car park is a huge grassy area no pets allowed. How strange. I guess People around here don't appreciate their pets.

Since then, a decade ago, EVERY TIME I go into this Auto Zone the staff asks if they can assist you, are nice people, polite, even the young ones, and intend on making your trip in as pleasant as possible while lending their expertise to insure you get what you need, find what you're looking for, and that it's the right part. The older mature manager seem VERY vested in insuring your trip into his store goes just as business should. I could care less if someone stayed near me as I looked for a spark plug for my Echo weed wacker, and I bet shoplifting in a store like this DEMANDS they keep an eye out. People today too often have zero conscience about stealing and I don't AT ALL blame them if the staff seems to be nearby. Good for me, the customer, as they're right there to ask questions, AND keep the store open so all their profits don't walk out the door under someone's shirt. I WANT them to stay open and viable as I live in the area!! Today, I had to take an unused expensive part back after buying it last week, still in the box, and they couldn't have been more accommodating and pleasant. Refunded in 2 minutes. Been shopping here since they opened and this group managing and staffing this store INSURES I won't hesitate to come back as needed.

I popped open a couple of packages in resealable clam shells. The manager (a guy) came over and said, "You know you're not supposed to open packages, stop it, thank you." I selected the cables I thought I needed and went through the store seeing what else I might need. As I moved towards the front of the store, the manager told another employee to stand by the door in case I tried to walk out with the cables. In total, I bought 2 more things, as I needed them, despite the slights by the manager. Well, the cables would not work. So, I returned them to the same store. I walked directly up to the counter and waited. This time, the manager (female) accused me of walking through the store before coming to the counter. Like I'd walk in and pick something up to "return" it. Good grief. Insulting staff. Despite this spot being conveniently positioned between my house and Home Depot, I will go elsewhere next time.
