Incompetent is entirely too good a word to use for this company. We had a problem with our dishwasher. We told them exactly what part broke. It took them two weeks to get the part and show up with it. When they did arrive, they had the wrong part. When I asked them how long it would take to get the right part and come back they were completely non committal. The gist being "Whenever it shows up and then whenever we can schedule you." It is starting to look like it is going to be more than a month from when we first called in the problem on our warranty before they fix anything. Moreover the dishwasher actually worked until their service man came out. After he "worked on it" he assured me that it could no longer be used until he came back with the correct part. It took them two weeks to come out and make the problem worse than it was originally. I spoke to the person who seemed to be in charge over the phone and expressed the opinion that this was rather poor service. His response was that it usually took them even longer than this to perform service and that I should be happy with what I was getting. I have no idea how these people stay in business. I had chipped my new glass stove top and called IAM appliance for repair. They were very good at getting me what I needed and fulling my special request. The tech they sent out was professional and went right to work. After completing the job he cleaned up and had my stove looking and working like new again. I highly recommend IAM service to anyone. read more

I asked that the technician wear a mask in my home. (The repair was a gasket or seal replacement under warranty.) They REFUSED to comply with my request. They were exceeding rude. I would never call this company for anything. read more

I had a problem with my frigerator. It was fixed over a year ago. But, not correctly. Had them come out again this past summer to fix the same problem with the door. And it was past their 30 day warranty. It took them over 8 weeks to get the right part and installed correctly. Now it's Thanksgiving time and the door doesn't completely closed again. Couple days ago I noticed my stove wasn't working. I called Iams to see if they could come out and look at it that would be a $50 fee. I also mention that the fridgerator so wasn't closing. I was advised again it's after the 30 days. And, I would have to pay an additional $30 to have them look at refrigerator. At this time I graciously hung up and I have found someone else. This company is located in Beavercreek. They did not charge me a service fee to come out. read more

Whomever Ms. Linda is who works here is very rude and unprofessional. I had a confirmation from whirlpool for a Friday (but she doesn't work for whirlpool she's an independent contractor I was told.) and Ms. Linda called me on Tuesday to inform me that she was assigned my case via whirlpool and all her slots was full, and she wouldn't be able to get me in till next week. When I asked how that was right when I clearly had confirmation she got RUDE and told me "she didn't have to take me and could cancel the apt." Then when I told her I guess I would take Monday since I needed my dishwasher fixed asap! She then proceeded to tell me that she would call me FRIDAY with the time frame. UMM, how am I suppose to plan for someone to be at my house for this technician? She then hung up on me! I called her back and told her she has ZERO customer service etiquette, and I would be calling and complaining to whirlpool about her! The person answering my call was friendly, able to articulate my needs, and schedule a general time for a repair tech. including a 20 min pre call to let me know he was on his way. The repair tech was fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. In my case the tech had parts on hand and was able to fix my refrigerator on the spot. I am very happy with the service this company has preformed and will recommend them to others as well as use their services again in the future. In mind with the thought that for a company to maintain service calls, general parts on hand, quick service, and skilled tech's is not a cheap deal, I felt in my case the cost was in line with the service and repair. read more

Had to use this company because it was the closest contracted with the warranty company. Came out fix or refrigerator was told problem wasn't covered under warranty. Paid the tech for the repair only to find out that the repair was covered. Even though the warranty company has assured them the repair is covered they won't refund our money until they get paid by the warranty company. Besides that, they left our refrigerator in a non working state after the repair. Had to call another company to get it fixed because they're not open on Saturdays. The unit had to "reset" before it would start cooling again. Terrible service from the very beginning! Would never recommend them to anyone! read more
