They have a variety of teachers who teach different instruments. They also sell many different musical instruments they have rentals for short-term or long-term use. Unfortunately right now they do not have a beginner guitar teacher you'll have to be put on the waitlist. I have not heard from the company since. I have called four times, and visited the storefront once {today, four weeks since leaving my violin} the shop was not open, despite it being their published business hours, and I haven't heard from them since the day I left my violin with them. I am furious and want my violin back. This is not an appropriate way to run a business. I could understand if something had come up and they had reached out to me, if there were a delay or an illness, and they told me it was going to take longer, I'd be entirely happy to let them have the time they needed. If something came up that the repair would cost more, and they communicated that, I'd be pleased to agree. This lack of contact, and non-availability makes me wonder if I'll ever see my instrument again.

Lorna was super helpful in helping me select the right piano to rent that fit my needs as an apartment renter with limited space. She played very beautifully as she sampled the piano I ultimately ended up renting (a Kawai Concert Artist 95), and I'm a few days in to my new piano and I'm still very happy with my choice. They have a rent-to-own program with a minimum of 6 months and the rentals are actually pretty reasonably priced. For my rental I paid first and last month's rent and a deposit plus delivery fees. I really appreciated the flexibility in making my initial payment (I was able to write a check) and Lorna was especially helpful in getting me a Saturday delivery via Encore Piano Movers. I was looking to have a complete restoration done to a Bach Stradivarius #37 Trumpet that has been…read morestored in its original case and not used in 20+ years. My parents and I recently received it as a gift from my cousin who got it brand new as a kid over 50 years ago. My cousin wanted my teenage son to have it, so he shipped it to us and we decided we would surprise him with it. My son has worked so hard playing for the past several years and we felt he deserves an upgrade from his student trumpet to a professional instrument. I searched for local music repair shops in my area and landed upon Brass Attitude Mobile Instrument Repair here on Yelp. I was intrigued because this company is the only one I came across that offers to travel to the customer's location, provide a quote and pick up and drop off your instrument as part of their service. I sent a message requesting a virtual consultation and Richard was very responsive and knowledgeable- he took the time to answer ALL of my questions as I had no idea the technicalities of restoring an instrument. Richard accommodated our schedule and we set up a time for him to come to our residence to take a look at the trumpet. He offered several options and suggestions for finishes (lacquered, brushed/satin, and silver plating) and brought his own trumpet to show us what a brushed finish looked like. He evaluated the condition of the trumpet very well, shared his own personal experiences as a trumpet musician, and offered great suggestions for how my son can customize the instrument to his liking as he continues playing. Since the trumpet case was not in the best shape, Richard also offered suggestions on the best cases and stated would also be selling them very soon if we were interested in buying from him. He made great recommendations about the best mouthpieces and valve adjustments to fine-tune the trumpet for creating a better sound. Richard identified the dents that needed removal, valve felts that needed replacement as well as corks and screws that needed replacing. He stated he would give the instrument a much-needed "acid bath" to remove rust and other buildup. Richard assured us that the trumpet was in decent shape, but he could make it look better and get it in ready-to-play shape. We agreed to have the work done. Richard emailed a quote to me itemizing the cost of the service he was going to provide and stated that it would be 3-day turn around to complete the work. He kept great communication with us via text and sent us pictures of his work the night before he was scheduled to drop off the trumpet. We paid the invoice online which was in alignment with his initial quote. About 3 business days later, Richard dropped the instrument off this morning and we are very pleased with the work that he did. We can't wait to see the look on my son's face when he receives his "dream" trumpet on Christmas day! Thank you Richard for making this possible for us and we look forward to your expertise when my son decides to have additional customizations.

Tom…read moreKerr was very gracious to me when I was trying out basses a few years ago, even after I returned a fine bass I had on trial. I ended up buying a Pollmann Bass from another store. However, when I needed a set-up, , cleaning, and sound adjustment, I took my Pollmann to Tom. My bass now sounds better than ever, and he had a solid string recommendation. Also, just this week I bought a Kay Bass, circ, 1940 from Tom, for my bluegrass, gigs. It was reasonably priced and he did some work I requested for a minimal charge, adjustments to the bridge curvature, and a replacement tailpiece cable (I wanted a new Teflon version). I kept the original metal piece since it was part of the original bass. Thanks, Tom, for your expertise and gracious manner with me as a customer who needed some guidance.

Not only do they have an incredible selection of beautiful instruments, but owners there are such phenomenal, down-to-earth, compassionate people. Nicky was in the store helping me out, and they spent so much time allowing me to try all the different instruments and talking me through them and answering my questions. The shop also has a rental option as well where 50% of the rent goes towards an instrument of your choice (doesn't have to be the rental).
