I have a prescription that will run out on the 22nd of this month. I should be able to fill today (21st) or tomorrow (22nd). But they just said no you're only allowed to fill the 23rd. My doctor filled the prescription for me in order to AVOID a potential lapse in coverage. GRACE refused to comply, continually quoting 'the system' and ignoring the fact that the days on her end would lead to a lapse in coverage for me. When I asked to speak to her manager, she said there is no manager and hung up. I am now trying to contact the regional director about this abusive and unprofessional employee and how they are negatively impacting my health outcomes for no reason other than, from what I can see, incompetence and spite.

This is the reason for the two stars. But things have changed and lately it hasn't been as welcoming or organized. There are still a few friendly associates at the cash register but I don't see many of staff who were once here. During a recent power outage things were very confusing (no sign was placed outside the store to let customers know what was going on)--as I was about to go in right at the beginning of the outage i was suddenly stopped at the door (by one of managers I think) and told the store was closed due to no power. I went back to my car but then the lights came on again and a customer who had just arrived walked in. I waited a bit and then went in too (I forgot the errand but I had to get something that day). Then after finding my items and going to the register everyone waiting there was told the power was off again (actually I had to learn that from another customer, as the lights were on but something with the machines was off) and that there might be a twenty minute wait. I decided to put all my items back on the shelves and leave. There was just no plan on the part of the store or clear communication about what was happening, I've also had the absolute worst experiences at the pharmacy. I had not picked up prescriptions here in awhile so I didn't know anything was wrong until a few of my current medications were already filled. Then when I went to pick up an order one day the pharmacist at the window rudely told me that one of my medications (out of two) was filled but that my insurance didn't cover the second medication and I'd have to pay the full cost (of course it was an important medication). One, the pharmacy never called or texted to let me know this. In fact I received a text that my order was ready. Two, what the pharmacist told me was completely wrong, as I would find out later. Three, she was extremely impolite throughout my interaction with her. When I asked how much my medication would cost she referred me to another pharmacist who told me I had to call another pharmacy to have them send it over to CVS. I didn't understand this reasoning but she appeared impatient and as if I should have understood. I asked for her to print out my prescription (how was I going to call another pharmacy and tell them anything without that?) as she hadn't even offered to help further. I guess it didn't matter to these pharmacists I had come to pick up a prescription I had received notification was ready only to find out one of the medications actually wasn't and that I had pay full cost for it because my insurance "didn't cover it" ....unless I called another pharmacy to send it over?? I took the printout she gave me and then purchased the medication that *was* ready (actually they hadn't bothered to give it to me so I had to go back and ask for it). I went over to another pharmacy with the printout and tried to explain what the CVS person had told me (and said I was confused). Guess what? That pharmacist was straight with me and told me that my insurance plan DID cover my medication but they just did not work with CVS anymore. I spent a few more hours transferring all my prescriptions to this new pharmacy and instructed my PCP never to send anything to CVS again.

The store needed to be restocked for the cereal that was on sale along with some snacks, but that's about all I saw that needed to be restocked. It was after 5pm., so customers were picking up some groceries, snacks and prescriptions. The store has Halloween candy and etc for that holiday and they also have some Christmas items out for that holiday which is my favorite. :-) I did find some deals for hair products as well. They have a board up in front of the store that show you how to save $10 on medicine and etc. If I need to come to CVS, I will most likely come back here if I'm on this end of town.

I can't tell if the reason the customer service is so awful is because of the lack of good training…read moreby CVS management in general or if it's because of the younger generation who work there. I don't mean to insult most of the younger working generations. I'm hoping it's a minority of individuals, but when it comes to being helpful, CVS is very weak. Recently, my prescriptions changed for the Gramercy location, which is closing, to Upper Rock. One prescription had no refills. Therefore, the way I understand it, they didn't have it (technically) added to their system? This is even though it was in the system of Gramercy. But, what makes it worse is the pharmacist would neither phone my doctor's office nor the Gramercy location to help get the refillable prescription in their store's system. Is this laziness? Is this policy? Whatever it is, it doesn't make sense. I should add that when I talked to an individual from that pharmacy a few days before and mentioned all the prescriptions that needed to be refilled, that individual did not inform me there would be a problem with them contacting my doctor. To highlight the ineptness of the location, I have requested receiving text messages informing me when prescriptions are ready for pickup, and I am not receiving them.

They have a great card selection. I always pick up greeting cards when I am there. They usually have my Hershey's miniatures which have been hard to find in the dark chocolate flavor. I always enjoy looking through their holiday decorations. I always end up getting a few for my home. I have the CVS care card, so I can earn money back when I use their coupons. This is a great CVS. Shhhh! Don't tell anyone. ; )

I just went to the prescription counter, picked up the medication and was on my way. My main complaint was the parking. The lot is off of busy Connecticut and the entrance ramp is somewhat steep. Parking is tight and sometimes full. I used to have my step-sister come with me so she could wait in the car in case I couldn't find a spot. More recently we have a dog on compounded medication for gastrointestinal issues. There was a little confusion about her prescription because it was first submitted by an emergency vet and then transferred to our regular vet. Staff was very helpful getting it straightened out. We also opted for delivery at a nominal fee and are so glad we did. It's easy, reliable and the medication is hung right on our front door knob. I must say for very long term prescriptions there are some very good mail order pharmacies that are less expensive.

Truthfully, since they were on sale, and I had tried 3 or 4 CVS's and I had no luck. I stumbled into this CVS on my way home and low and behold, my chocolates were in stock. But, of course, the sale price had expired. The person at the counter, was so nice and found a coupon on my extra care card, that took a little bit off. The next time I visited, I was looking for bags and cards. I found two really cute gift bags and I bought those and some healthy gluten free treats. So, I am impressed with the service, the people who work there, and the items in stock. Thanks CVS.

I got out of the emergency room a couple of days ago, and think that they told me they had sent…read moreorders for a couple of prescriptions to my CVS (1580 Rockville Pike). So, on my way home, I was still feeling pretty crummy, but stopped at the drive-through pharmacy and asked about my prescriptions. The woman who waited on me had two other prescriptions from a different doctor's visit, but not from the ER. I asked whether two other orders were received from the ER that day, but she didn't seem to understand English enough to answer my question. It was about 100 degrees F that day and I couldn't stick around to find out. I drove home wondering whether they may have received the orders but had insufficient time to fill them. I thought that I would call the next day and find out. The next day I felt even more awful, so called the CVS to ask about my prescriptions. I got a machine that answered the phone and of course my question was not among its prepared selections. No matter how many times I tried to ask for a person or a customer service representative, the machine insisted that I choose from its menu, which didn't fit my question. I called again and again, and couldn't get past the machine-- until one time it allowed me to leave a voice mail. I left my voice mail, which assured me that someone would get back to me, but guess again. I received a text message that said they received my voice mail and were working on it-- but now, two days have passed and I still have not received a call from them. After being too sick to do anything yesterday, I thought that I would try to pass through the drive-through to ask my question again this evening--- but when I looked up their pharmacy hours just now, I can't find any indication of their drive-through hours, and I'm too sick to walk and wait in line-- if the pharmacy, not just the store, is open at all! What kind of pharmacy is this? One that lets its customers die before giving them any information, let alone meds? If CVS does not improve substantially (i.e. have a person who answers the phone!) I'm moving my business elsewhere!

My wife was paying and i was…read morereturning some stuff, my son who has autism was looking at the candies near the counter and checking it, not even opening it. i was from an aisle to return an item, the in store manager yelled multiple times at my son, i confronted him as he was not even opening the candies and why he would yell so hard. i told him that my son has autism, but he was unapologitic and was even telling how an irresponsible parent i was. he was rude, unprofessional and did not even apologize for what he did. Other staff was the one who was apologizing for his actions. Worst CVS i've been to because of that in store manager. He's rude, unprofessional.
