Private studio with everything Plenty of parking shared by a Target. The difference of a deep massage and swedish massage is that deep tissue is not a relaxing massage. Synthia is the best! I have followed Synthia around since she at a spa in Long Beach. (Several years ago). I like massages to be strong, deep, precise or else the knots will never get worked out. I've always loved Synthia for massages because she does it all. And I've had many from her over the years. you're looking for more of a Swedish Massage, she does that too. My sister had one and thought it was amazing. I like she she has her own space now in the Phenix salon suites. Since I have found her again at Phenix, I also have had a great facial with pumpkin peel and mask. I like that she primarily uses a plant based clinical skin care line by Clarity. Synthia is truly the best when it comes to her work. She is super friendly & very attentive to her clients. She has been gifted with some very skilled hands. She accommodates you and your needs when it comes to your facials and massages. I have done both & they have been awesome & super relaxing. I love how she does a quick consult before each session, so she is aware of any problem area(s) or any concerns. It's a good way to communicate your needs at that moment so she can better accommodate & assist you. She is very gentle with my facials. This was always a concern for me before meeting Synthia, because I have extremely sensitive skin & my skin reacted horribly after any facial. I suffer from adult acne & acne scars. Synthia is great. She gives a great facial. I've never had a massage from her but definitely considering it. She recently moved locations from Seal Beach to Cypress. It's a little further for me but totally worth the drive for me. She is very welcoming and put me at ease immediately the first time I had a facial with her. She offered facial products but was not pushy at all. I do use the products she recommended and like them very much. Appointments are made by text and she responds fast. Synthia is hands down the best massage therapist. I used to get them from her at another place closer to home. She moved and is worth my 30 min drive! Recently had a baby (8 weeks) and my back and chest were so tight I was having a hard time standing or sitting straight up. She worked out my upper back, chest and oh so tight neck. She had the best deep tissue pressure I've ever experienced, I've had a lot of massages in the past and none compare. Left feeling rejuvenated and I am now able to stand straighter. I her! I had a Groupon for microdermabrasion and I added the seaweed facial and the combo left my skin feeling so plump and nice even though I came in with very dry skin. I appreciated the calm atmosphere and also describing the process. I have sensitive acne prone skin and she was also very gentle as well. so i don't know what the deal is. i bought a groupon for ice and fire but when i got there i didn't see that business name plus the name on the employee certificates wasn't synthia. i didn't think she was very friendly and the facial i received hurt. i got to a point when i asked her to stop because it hurt so bad. according to her, if i took care of myself the facial wouldn't hurt. i've had many facials before and they didn't hurt. be warned that she will try to up sell you. i won't be back. read more

With all the stress of being a new mom when is there ever time for just moms. Well Synthia made it happen! For the fall she used a great pumpkin facial. All the while letting baby stay in the room and lay with me. Even baby got a small face rub and enjoyed laying on the heated massage table. I work out 5 to 6 days a week and think I'm younger than I am so my body is quite beat up. She works with which ever body part needs the most attention and adjusts pressure as I need it. Perfect amount of pressure that helped relieve my muscle tension without being overly painful. I didn't experience any next day soreness, just feeling looser and more agile. I purchased a Groupon for an hour massage. I had the most relaxing massage considering I requested a Deep Tissue one. Synthia really concentrated on the areas where I had the most tense muscles. She made me feel relaxed when I thought I would tense up. She also has a very relaxing tone in her voice that makes you easily submerge into relaxation. I definitely recommend her.
