I had foot surgery 5 days ago and had lots of pain on my neck, shoulders and back from either sitting or laying down all day. I messaged For Rest Mobile Massage and was able to make an appointment for the same day. This is such a great convenience b/c I cannot drive or leave my house. The massage therapist was professional and friendly. He focused on all my knots and help relieved my headache. His music selection was more soft jazz vs. tranquil spa music. Ron is the best massage therapist I've been to! He really knows about the body and its muscles and how they all work together. I have had discomfort off and on due to my hips going out of alignment and he always fixes me right up when I go to him. He is able to do chiropractic and sports massage, which is awesome. My boyfriend has also used Ron for a muscular injury in his lower back. Right after the massage, he was able to sit down without pain, which he hadn't been able to do for a week. For Rest is a wonderful mobile massage company! The massage therapist, Ron, is extremely professional and has clean and comfortable massage equipment. He is also the best massage therapist I have ever had, and due to my chronic back pain condition I have had quite a few. The great thing about him is that he really listens to what you say, especially any instructions that you may need to give about injury. I have had massage therapists in the past disregard the instructions I pass along from physical therapists and end up hurting me so much that I have had to take days off of work as a result. This has never happened with Ron. He also knows his physiology and can shed light on what may be adding to certain issues (i.e. pain or tense muscles). In fact, I recently had major surgery on my back and because I trust him so much Ron was the first person I called after getting clearance for PT and massage to get the muscles in my back moving again! I had back aches for weeks now and Ron made it go away. After the massage, my back felt so light and my back is no longer tense. I have a very bad back and have been in and out of physical therapy over the years. I decided to augment the most recent round with a therapeutic massage; Ron was recommended by my physical therapist as an outstanding masseuse. She undersold him... he is remarkably knowledgeable about not only the mechanics of the body, but also how the practical aspects of life (posture, work environment) can be improved to maximize the benefits of massage. I was amazed at how skilled he is, and how well I felt afterward. I was warned that I would be very sore after the first massage, but in fact I wasn't, and I had less pain and greater range of motion than before. He also agreed to work with my physical therapist to develop an integrated, ongoing treatment plan to keep me pain-free. One other thing -- he's a great listener.
