I explained that my throttle dashboard light came on, and Charlton said I might need the $70.00 diagnostic test to turn it off and determine the throttle problem. Charlton also asked me about the size of my engine. I scheduled an appointment and canceled it because the throttle light went out. Perhaps it was the below-freezing temperature and my attempt to drive my vehicle without sufficiently warming it up that prompted the throttle light to come on, I will definitely contact C & A when my vehicle does need servicing. I appreciated the messaging that helped me determine what my vehicle needed. What's valuable? The excellent customer service in fielding my throttle concerns is worth noting.

She understood the urgency of the situation, I would've had to drive for 3 hours from Harrisburg to New York City with the stench of vomit (ugh). She was able to squeeze me in and vacuum/shampoo/sanitize the back seat of the car. The actual shop is literally a small garage with a banner. There's plenty of parking and the entrance is an unmarked side door. The cost was extremely reasonable and Lisa completed the job within the promised timeframe. I am sure everyone have noticed an explosion of fully automated car wash facilities in the past 2…read moreyears. Here on in Mechanicsburg, Shiny Shell is the newest and the third car wash to open with the 2 mile stretch on Carlisle Pike. And the other two are national/regional chains as well; namely, Cloud 10 and Mod Wash. I've had my cars washed in all 3 facilities. Even though Cloud 10 has the most clout & presence, Shiny Shell in my opinion has the most utilitarian value. I gave it a try during the pre-opening weekend on 9/21/24 (officially opens on 9/24/24). From the get-go, the camera deciphered my license plate, identified me as a member, and automatically opened the gate. Also, unique only at Shiny Shell: 1. I was given a dashboard wiping pack in addition to the customary air freshener upon check in. 2. There are 2 different vacuum nozzles: a standard one and a small one for hard to reach areas. 3. There is a faucet in the member lounge where I can wash my hands (listen up Cloud 10 & Mod Wash). 4. There is a complimentary fountain drink station in the member lounge for customers. 5. Work-in-progress: a play area for kids while you do the vacuuming and wiping. These added values are enough for me to bump up my rating to 5. PS. I do notice that the car aren't as dry the moment the car leaves the tunnel, but that's a small miss.
