My wife had decided to get a large shadow box made for me as a gift. Inside the box were various badges, coins, patches and other items. She went to a professional trophy shop and relied on the subject matter experts at the trophy shop to guide her in the placement, design, sizing and arranging of the items. What she got was far then any trophy expert could offer. When I received the gift, some of the items were placed upside down, the size of the shadow box was disproportionate to the items contained inside, and the spacing of the items were not consistent, and some items were slanted. Not wanting to hurt my wife's feelings, I did nothing for a couple of days. However, after realizing what she paid, $$$, I couldn't stand it and returned to the shop with the box to hopefully not get a refund, but to get them to fix the mess they helped create. The response I got shocked me. They said all they do is what the customer wants and asked for and they could not help me. I stated my wife is not an expert in their field of work and came to a trophy shop for expert advice. She got no advice and it showed in their work. When asked if they would put an item upside down in a shadow box if they knew it was wrong, the owner replied, if that is what the customer wants then yes. If you want a professional trophy experience with expert advice, go somewhere else. This place is not it. I told my wife it's the thought that counts.
