ICS' customer service is very, very poor. Our satellite TV went out 2 days ago and their best response is that it will be another 5-6 days until they can send someone out to "take a look." This, coupled with the troubling fact that when trying to make an appointment they offer vague, 4 hour windows of time during the weekday (between 8 - 12 and 1 - 4 and nothing on the weekend) adds greater frustration to an already very poor experience. Terrible company. Don't even bother. Internet speeds are abysmal. No support. No return phone calls. Worthless.

Absolutely horrid service, it is obvious this company doesn't care about their customers and view us as annoyances rather than people.

If I could Give zero stars I would. This is literally the worst company that I have dealt with. Below terrible customer service. 10 days ago my internet shut off. I tried to trouble shoot the problem on my own but had no luck. I called ICS and sat on hold for 40 minutes (what a waste of my life) then I was received by a customer service representative. I tell him that I've tried to trouble shoot my internet and it is not a problem with my router or my computer and that they probably need to come to our apartment to fix whatever is wrong. He proceeds to do two hours of trouble shooting before concluding that yes, they do need to come to our location to fix the internet. I ask him when the soonest time is for them to come out- he says 10 days from that day. That is unacceptable. My roommate and I both need internet for our jobs. He then made a snarky comment about visiting an internet cafe. They were apparently overbooked. If you are overbooked HIRE more repair men! Duh company 101 provide the service that you are advertising PROMPTLY and EFFICIENTLY. He says that he does not know when they will be able to drop by that day. The following week they did not call us to tell us what time they are coming. I proceed to call that morning and they tell me they are planning to be there in two minutes-while I AM AT WORK AND NO ONE IS HOME. If you have appointments it is common courtesy to call and tell your customers when you are arriving. You need to make your schedule around your CLIENTS, not around what is most convenient for you as a company. If I had any choice what so ever I would leave this company, however my apartment has a deal with them and we are not allowed to change companies. If you have any choice for internet in Ames Iowa DO NOT GET ICS. Save your time and money for real customer service. read more

If you can skip past this company for another. RUN... Poor customer service and provided reliable service. Unfortunately I have been with this company for 3 years because we live on an acreage in the country. First time we had issue's. They would not call us back. Finally after time off work to meet these yahoos, they never showed for the appt. Twice. And there appts. range in hours not an exact time. Then they said water got into the antenna and had to replace the internals. I said sounds like a water tight cas problem. Tech said no. After next rainfall and a dozen calls, they were back. Blamed my wireless router. Also found water in antenna again. I said its a case problem. Tech said well we just cant go around replacing these things all the time just because I say its bad... well after 30 phone calls, multiple no call backs and 4 new internals replaced, the tech says he is going to change out the whole unit. Yay. NOT. That was 2 weeks ago and we are back at it again. Called first thong this morning. The tech says he can see my signal going up the off like a heart monitor and stated that's odd. Not to us. He stated he would call us back here shortly to resolve the issue. Well it 430pm no word. I called back and they told me I could hold for 20 to 30 minutes if I wanted to speak to someone. I told her no I wouldn't wait on hold that someone was already supposed to call me back and hadn't. She acted like i was putting her out to take my name and number, I'm sure nobody will contact me back today or tomorrow unless I really press on them. Im one step away from filing a complaint with the BBB and the Iowa Attorney Generals Office. I have never once bucked about any of my bills from these people. That's about to change today.
