I own a Jaguar repair shop in Sherman Oaks, California and have a customer of long standing with a Jaguar Mark IX that needed power steering repairs. Both the power steering box and the pump were leaking profusely and have been for many years. He brought the car in in January of 2016 for a service but the car was leaking so badly that we just couldn't return it to him again without making the needed repairs to the power steering.
Because this repair on a Mark IX is out of the ordinary, I resisted starting a search for someone to repair the power steering box and pump for three months.
Beginning the search, I found someone in Georgia who could rebuild the pump for me, however, the box was a different story.
Searched and searched on line and accidentally found a testimonial on You Tube from someone with the same car who needed the power steering box repaired. He raved about a place in Birmingham, UK called ICS Steering Specialist...so I e-mailed. The next day I received an e-mail back from Carl Jaffer who assured me that he could take care of the steering box and that he would walk me through the "Repair and Return" process in order to avoid hold up in Customs and any payment of import taxes.
Although the shipping took a little while, they received the box and rebuilt it. We received it back last week and reinstalled it along with the pump. They did a beautiful job and now there are NO MORE LEAKS.
I cannot praise ICS Steering Specialist more highly. They are very professional and kept me updated on their progress every step of the way making the fact that I had to ship my part all the way to Birmingham, UK no problem at all.
