AN ABSOLUTELY MUST DO 4 & 1/2 STARS. A SIGHTSEEING TOUR ON WATER OF BOSTON ON A PIRATE SHIP!…read moreGoldstar has Discount Tickets for this Water Adventure. If you are a Fan of those Pirate movies then you've got to experience the Real Thing! The tour combines fun interesting facts about the history of Boston plus they show you many points of interests both past & present still standing in the city. They even throw in some Pirate stories as well like Sam Bellamy & The Widdah. The crew is all dressed in Pirate attire so you really get the whole Pirate experience. We had Captain Mckinnon & Captain Mead. Both Kids & Adults will like this nautical adventure in the 7 Seas. They even let the kids help hoist the sails. This is Great to put on a future resume - Yup I helped sail a Pirate Ship. LOL! It gets chilly on the seas so bring an extra jacket. They also have Free Blankets they pass out if you're cold. You'll pass by The TD Garden, The Zakim Bridge, The Old North Church, The Seaport Area, Legal Seafood, The Rebook Headquarters, Logan Airport, The Charleston Navy Yard, The USS Constitution & many other sites. You'll definitely get heads a turning cruising in the Pirate Ship by other boaters along the route who will give you a wave. There is a rest room below the deck. It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

We've been to one other LEGOLAND Discovery Center - in Westchester NY. This location compares…read morefavorably. Though we enjoyed the one in New York too, this location minimized the sort of underwhelming initial areas and focuses much more on an open-concept space with multiple activities and building rooms. While my kids are too old for Duplo, it was really nice to see a strong focus on the larger blocks to involve younger kids in the experience. We enjoyed the laser maze activity, even though it was hardly a maze at all. It would have been nice if there was a staff person supervising the activity though - there seemed to be a great deal of confusion with how it was supposed to work. We figured it out largely by seeing others do it incorrectly. Otherwise everything was great - the kids loved the VR game, the building activities, and the impressive pre-built LEGO creations.

I know this place has trash reviews! But I brought my 6 year old and he LOVED it- honestly I did…read moretoo. We were there for 3.5 hours. There are movies every 1-2 hours, several sections where kids can build and interact with legos and an entire station to make mini figures. We loved the ride too! The best part was hands down the workshop though- we had 30 mins of a curated micro build and we both had the best time- the master builder was kind, and encouraged creativity while giving lots of structure. You definitely do not need any add ons (the basic ticket is sufficient for all these fun activities! ). Will definitely come back for any other special occasion!

What a great experience and nice surprise. We were looking…read morefor a place for the kids to run and play after a long train ride - it was exactly what we were looking for and more. There were so many slides and equipment for the kids to climb and slide and jump. While there were a lot of people and kids, it didn't feel out of control, most people there seemed to be attentive. The playground area was a artificial spongey turf and definitely makes it safer for the kids when they topple over. LOL There were benches under trees for parents/guardians to sit while safely observing the kids play. When the sun shifts, it gets really hot in the summer. Bring an umbrella for shade if you aren't able to find a seat under a tree. The bonus we hadn't expected - the water part of the park. The Kids loved it!!! We will definitely be back when we are in the area. The kids didn't want to leave...luckily we were close to the Boston Market Place Hall where they could get a cool drink and a treat - that was the only way we could get them to leave this fun park. LOL Highly recommend!

If you haven't seen the viral video that has this long metal slide dubbed the "cop slide,"…read moredefinitely give it a watch. Usually this playground is for kids (not cops) and is complete with a rubbery soft ground. Some of the materials could be harsh, like lots of static coming from a metal slide and possible scrapes from the concrete. I found the area to be clean and safe. With City Hall directly in the center of Boston, this playground is walkable to all downtown staples from the North End to Boston Commons.

Romantic notion when you're pretty much skating on concrete?…read more The admission fee and rentals make this spot totally not worth. You're really only here for the location and that nebulous "romantic feel". The ice itself is atrocious, even though the rink (and I use that term lightly) does get a Zamboni out from time-to-time. But the ice is so uneven. You can see concrete in some spots, with how some of the ice is so thin. You'll encounter a lot of folks that cannot stay vertical on skates, it's just the reality. Don't be surprised when someone behind you suddenly grabs you in desperation to prevent themselves from falling. Plus it's super crowded here during peak times. There are so many other nearby spots of grab better and more affordable concessions, so don't fall for the ones here.

Unfortunately when I went I needed my blades sharpened but the guy who could do that wasn't there, oh well next time. Went to go get a locker and u have to pay for it when u enter and it just wasn't clear and I felt like I was cutting the long line by getting a locker. Stopped and grabbed a lil snack and my friend and I both got the 50/50 and fries were good but they had the best onion ring I've ever had! If you have them I recommend bringing your own skates to save time and money but a great activity for almost any age
