Coach Nicole is great and warm with the kids, and the space is very large. They have a huge gym space for sports play and obstacle courses (which the kids can design and build) as well as a second obstacle course area and a separate trampoline room. In addition to the 3D printer and VR headsets, there are lots of Legos, circuits, and all sorts of build and design type activities. My son came back exhausted every day. I also saw a noticeable improvement in his confidence and abilities in navigating obstacles at other play gyms we have been to since. It's not the cheap camp, but it is well worth the price. We will be sure to come back and sign up up for additional sessions throughout the year.

I AM AWARE THAT THESE VIDEO PICTURES MAY BE DISPLAYED ON THE WEBSITE, NEWSLETTERS, FLYERS, SOCIAL MEDIA, AND/OR ANY OTHER PUBLICATION REGARDING LANGO NORTHERN VIRGINIA ACTIVITIES." I understand that organizations want photos and videos to promote their programs, but I don't think parents should have to forfeit control over how their children's images are used just to participate. Especially with AI and the risks associated with it, this feels like an area where families should have more control. An opt-out option should be offered. Because this policy kept us from registering, I'm leaving a low rating. This isn't a reflection of the program itself, which I've heard good things about. It's simply a policy that doesn't work for our family and one that I hope they reconsider.

When we got there, the education director told my wife and son that she had no time to talk to her. After they came back to the car, I went to ask as well. We were shocked at the rude reception. When I asked what they loved about it they said "The games, the challenges and the counselors never once yelled at us." I marvel at the activities the counselors come up with to keep the kids engaged and laughing all day, even in sweltering heat. I also love that you can see highlights every day on Instagram. It's all about the counselors, they are kind, patient, inclusive and so positive, even in the face of rowdy behavior. I like what our kids are learning and we promised them they can go there all summer next year :)

Each session has a theme and the artwork and the field trips reflect the themes perfectly. The self-portraits they painted for the "I am somebody" theme are so special that we plan to hang them on their new bedroom walls. My girls went to two sessions and they learned so much. They came home excited every day. At the end of the week, they had an art show for parents. Unfortunately, I could not attend but the staff posted a short video of the children's artwork on Facebook. I definitely appreciated that gesture.

We wanted to love this summer camp at St. Stephens/St. Agnes last year and given the cost…read more(approximately $1K/week for two kids), we thought for sure it would be a great experience for our kids. Sadly, it was a decidedly mixed bag. On the positive side, there's a wide range of activities for kids to choose from. Regardless of their interests -- sports, Legos, animatronics, chemistry, fossils, etc -- there's truly something for every kid to do and enjoy (assuming you can get in; when we tried to register our two kids for their top activities on the first day of registration, we were waitlisted for a bunch of things and never got in to most). Also, there were a couple teachers who truly went "above and beyond" as camp counselors. Among other things, they gave superbly detailed synopses each day of the kids' activities and it was clear they cared not only about the kids' safety and well-being while in their care, but also the subject matter. On the negative side.....and this is by no means an exhaustive list.....we were horrified to discover vendors and counselors who lackadaisically allowed kids in my daughter's Roblox camp to watch HIGHLY inappropropriate videos that involved adult themes, as well as graphic and violent content, including violence against women, children, and animals. My daughter was literally traumatized by that experience and was unable to sleep w/o a light on in her bedroom for months. It was also disappointing to hear stories almost every single day from my kids about counselors who did little-to-nothing to curb extreme profanity, bullying, and inappropriate interactions among campers. One of the worst things that happened, however, was hearing from both of my children that a young female camp counselor at Lego Animation angrily called a young camper a "butt face." When another young camper said, "That's not nice!", the counselor said: "What are you going to do about it?! Complain to a counselor? I AM a counselor!" I can only imagine being a child in that camp and encountering such hostile and threatening behavior in a COUNSELOR -- the person who is supposed to make you feel safe while in their care. Here's a thought; how about hiring counselors who actually like kids and don't bully and intimidate them?! Of course, we recognize the impossibility and impracticality of "policing" the behavior of campers and counselors alike; however, it would be beneficial (and undoubtedly much appreciated by parents and campers alike) if the camp had a "zero" tolerance for bullying, intimidation, profanity, and intolerance based on religious beliefs (namely, Christianity). Also, hired vendors should do everything possible to ensure that inappropriate content is blocked entirely from all computer-based camp activities. We passed this feedback on to camp leadership last summer, along with names, dates and details, so hopefully this year's campers will see some vast improvements. After last year's experience, however, we won't be back.

The teacher helped me get him to start putting his shoes on his own feet. He did a great job and had so much to talk about when he got home. Not only that he also slept good when he got home lol. It only was half day so it was not to crazy for him. They enjoyed outside time and pool time which was cool. You will not go wrong putting your kids here and allowing them to be a part of a community that is full of love and happiness.

Great Program during the year but really blindsided by extreme Covid precautions during their…read moresummer camp. In summer 2022 21 Covid tests, yes, 21 tests, is very extreme. Plus masks. Plus all vaccines and boosters. Plus they will send your kid home for 10 days with a positive test. It's a very extreme position for a kids program. I'm ok on vaccines but this is going to wild extremes. Best was I just got told I need to pay for the 20 quick tests my kid is supposed to have.

We are really impressed by recent improvements - the staff are engaging and committed to standards, the teachers are loving and fun, and the curriculum is great! It's a safe and inclusive learning and playing environment. We currently have a child in SACC/Summer Camp, a child in PreK, and our youngest will be starting Preschool when the school year begins. We are so happy to have a great early childhood development center right in our community!
