There are about 40 rooms of which each has different challenges and involve solving puzzles or executing a task in 1-4 minutes. Depending on how you and your team do you will be rewarded with stars or puzzle pieces for prizes. Everyone is given a wrist band that has a little badge that you use to tap when you enter a room to track your results. Many of the rooms require the participants to work as a team to achieve a goal. Some of the challenges are mental, physical, or require a high degree of coordination. This place is great for adults and I would say kids 8 and up. Teens would love it. I would not recommend this for younger kids. I have heard that this place has very long lines on the weekends. Since we went on Tuesday evening there was no wait for about 50% of the rooms we wanted to enter. And even in those cases we only had to wait no more than 2 minutes for the team inside to exit. It's a cool and fun concept and I would highly recommend it!

The gaming is not linear and it's hard to interact with a large group, you'll lose anyone who is not in your small group of six or so to the mass of games. The wait times for the game rooms were manageable and their tech works really well. Some games were more fun and better than others. The head to head dodgeball, light smacking games were the most fun. I'm not sure I would do another big event there but many of our group left super happy. I'd come back with a smaller group of friends, 4-6 and go through with them.

We went with a group of three-year olds and they were ecstatic for an opportunity to check out new toys and get some energy out on a dreary day. They had a little something for everyone: ride on toys, baby dolls, sports equiptment, and all of the little blocks/gadgets a child could every want. The costume rack was also a favorite with characters ranging from superheroes, construction workers, to princesses. I love how this spot fills many different needs in the community: a third place for families to convene, eco-friendly way to get rid of all toys, and an affordable place to try out new toys and teach your child about responsibility and sharing. It was definitely over-crowded and quite hard to find a table to sit down. We eventually found one right at the back of the store. The kids had the best time but scramble employees were no where to be found! There was no one monitoring kids. My kid got hurt a few times by slightly older kids and it was quite chaotic. The staff were not cleaning at all. You have to remove your shoes before entering the play area but the toilets are located inside the play designated area which means you have to go into the bathroom with socks on which is very gross. They should allow shoes in the bathroom area. Also the soap dispensers were empty and the lady that cleans the bathroom just hung out in the bathroom not really cleaning or filling the soap. The cafe - there are food options for kids and adults. We did try the kids pizza and French fries. The pizza was fine( cheese) but the fries were not good. It tasted like they fried it in very old oil. They do have coffee but I did not try it as the didn't have an option for skim milk. They do not allow outside food or drink but no one seems to really monitor that. Security - ok so this is non-existent. There is a door that divides outside area with inside play area but kids can easily open the door and leave the premises. The lady that stands by the door doesn't monitor kids matches with their guardians. She just opens and closes the door and often she is not there at all. They do not give wristbands at all or any form of security feature. So watch your kids closely while you are there as once they go into that massive play area it's difficult to locate them. The kids seemed to enjoy it as they don't worry about germs , dirt or food. I mean it's fine for an hour or so but honestly it was the last resort when deciding on a place to take the kids too. They also charge the adults an entry fee!!! ‍ I mean it's not like we are playing in the kids areas . I think we paid $55 for entry (2 kids and 2 adults). Would I go back? Not by choice but if the kids asked then I would consider it for an hour or two. ( definitely not on a weekend though).

We waited at the front desk for quite a long time with no staff present. Eventually, a staff member named Annaia saw us but appeared to be walking away until I called her over. When she finally assisted us, her attitude was very rude and impatient. Her manner was abrupt and unprofessional. When I mentioned that we had been waiting for a long time, she simply responded that they were "very busy," in a dismissive tone, without any apology or acknowledgment. I understand that things can get busy, but basic courtesy and respect toward customers should always be maintained. This was the first time I've encountered such poor service here, and it was quite disappointing given my past experiences. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving customer service to prevent this from happening again.

The new Tyson's Plaza is the coolest thing to happen to the DMV! The Plaza also connects a few buildings, including the Tyson's Corner Mall Itself, Lord and Taylor's upstairs, the office building which just happens to be where I work sometimes :D, and eventually will also connect the new apartments, the Tyson's Metro, the new hotel, a restaurant or two, and I'm sure way more!! This space is not only cool because it serves as a great connection space (literally), but it is also used as a concert and movie space on Friday and Saturday nights, respectively! I actually saw Andy Grammer in concert with friends here just a couple weeks ago. It was awesome! I really look forward to seeing what else will pop up in or around The Plaza, but I'm sure it will be nothing less than fabulous!

You can also open for private events, but I don't know how much extra that would be. It seems that it's a pretty popular park for birthdays as every time we've been here there was a party going on. Overall, this is a great park and if you have kids, is definitely a place to check out.

There were costume changes, bubbles, a light show, music, a puppet show, the list goes on and on. The adults enjoyed it just as much if not more than the adults. I always try to top the year before with my son's birthdays parties but there is no way to top Chikitaki so I guess I'll be seeing them again next year. I'll definitely be seeing them again next year.

Everything was organized, smooth, and low stress. Elif, our host, was excellent. She was warm, attentive, and completely on top of the details from start to finish. She kept the party moving, helped with setup and transitions, and made sure the kids felt celebrated. It made such a difference to have someone so thoughtful and capable guiding the experience.
