Instead, the staff placed me in a room and tried sell me more services. At that point I understood it was all about meeting their profit projections from each child. I didn't see any value in spending 45k over the summer and fall for my child to learn to write words in the air. In short. I would rate this organization a D- and F on salesmanship.

The classrooms on the lower level are all clearly marked with directories and signs. There are comfy spaces to sit all around the buildings. The faculty and students are nice about giving directions if you aren't sure where you are. Metro has a stop right on campus. The garage is also available (and free on Sundays). It is worth taking a look at the web site or face book page. There are events scheduled throughout the year.

I never got a job related to my degree and the school did not do anything to help me get a job. Their Career Center is useless. I have never known anyone who got a paying job through the American University Career Center. The Professors I had were also useless. Many of them teach directly from antiquated text books. They do not teach you any technology of any kind and they never taught us any programs that you would need to know for employment purposes. You take an Economics class and they do not teach you how to use econometric software programs. Their curriculum is something out of the 1960s. This school has had several large scandals over the years with school Presidents. Google Richard Berendzen and you can read about his disgusting behavior. The school would not fire him. He was allowed to keep his job as a professor at the school. Also Google Benjamin Ladner. He was another school President.
