My girls were enrolled in session 1 a couple weeks ago and I just can't say enough great things about our experience. Ms. Tsion and Ms. Sylvia (everyone else too, really) were so kind, patient and pleasant. I truly felt that they made a genuine effort to make a personal connection with each parent and child that walked through the door. They have such dynamic personalities and were so successful in meeting each individual where they were to ensure that everyone was engaged and happy. I wish I had known about the camp last year. My girls (8 year old twins, 4 year old) LOVED every minute of camp with Fit Kids. Despite the age spread, my children were consistently involved in activities that they felt were age appropriate and exciting. They are all still singing the songs and making reference to things they learned there. As a parent who spends a lot of time carefully researching and planning my children's summer camp experiences, I have to say that Fit Kids is really near the top of our list in terms of value, program content and organization. read more

Stay away at all costs. I think Kidovation aka "KOS Programs LLC / FKS Programs" is a fraudulent operation of some kind. A year ago they double charged me thousands of dollars and have promised me, in writing, on a near monthly basis, that my refund is imminent. I am still waiting for my money. The shadiness is out of control. Lynn, the program director, never reveals her last name to parents. Tsion, the camp founder, seems more intent on marketing herself on instagram than running a quality program. Lastly, they speak of accounting like it is some sort of anonymous overlord, as if they have no control over their own company. We registered our daughter for Kidovation camp last week on July 28, for the Columbia Heights location which the website said was at the Dance Institute of Washington (a location our daughter is familiar with so we felt that fact plus it is walking distance for us and the enticing website made the camp a good fit). Our invoice said Columbia Heights and this was also confirmed by a staff person signing emails "Lynn." When we showed up Monday morning to the Dance Institute of Washington, not only was no camp there, they said they had never even heard of Kidovation! During repeated attempts that morning, no one answered either phone number listed on their website. We also emailed to ask what was going on and did initially get replies from "Lynn" stating that they had consolidated locations and were only in NE now. She claims we were informed (we were not! And we literally just registered days ago so they presumably knew about a location change by then and they confirmed our location) and suggested we should go to the NE location. We repeatedly asked to be called. She said she would call at 10:30am, but we decided to drive to the NE location thinking it would be easier to get an answer in person. In the meantime, we emailed asking for a refund as the NE location was too far for us to do with our other child's camp pickup and drop off and due to the lack of communication and professionalism we did not feel it was safe to leave our daughter in their care; 5 minutes before we arrived at the NE location, they emailed saying they would process it. No one ever called us. Since we were so close and because we had now discovered several yelp reviews with similar claims as ours and all the trouble people had in getting refunds, we decided to still go inside at the NE location to see if we could speak with Lynn in person and get our refund more promptly. Staff there hadn't even heard of Lynn but told us they weren't surprised at all to hear about our experience and texted Tsion (the owner) for us who said she would refund us by the end of the day. Very unsurprisingly, we did not receive a refund. Through persistent calling and emailing on Tuesday and mentioning we had been in touch with other families who had similar experiences, we were able to get a refund processed. At best, this "camp" seems disorganized with nonexistent communication and at worst, fraudulent. I don't know if any of the positive reviews are real, but I would never recommend this business to anyone. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Kidovation is a complete scam. They promised an itinerary and completely did not follow through at all. The changed locations last minute. Children were in a hot room on a concrete floor all day. They also tried to pull a venmo scam by saying the payment system didn't work (it did). Complete con artists. Do not let them near your children. read more

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS CAMP This past summer we received very concerning emails from the owner (Tsion Tekle) making it seem like a child had been hurt or something was very wrong with the camp (KidOvation Stage) that we were supposed to attend in just 2 days. She held a Zoom call and told us the entire theme of the camp we had signed up for was changing (less than a day before the camp), the location was changing, *and* that she wanted parents to volunteer all day/week at the summer camp. She said that if families wanted to back out we could get a full refund. I had a terrible feeling in my gut about it, so I requested my money back (and scrambled to find a camp for my daughter on 24 hours notice). I've now spent MONTHS trying to get my money back from Tsion. She keeps claiming the money will get reimbursed to me and every date comes and goes with no refund. (And the number on her website is fake/not in order - which she claimed she had no idea about, yet has not fixed.) She first claimed that it was just us and another family waiting for our money, but it turns out there are at least a dozen families that I know of, owing us over $10k. And not all are from this summer - some are dating as far back as last winter. If you try to communicate with her about the refund on WhatsApp she uses disappearing messages. She relies on the families to file a claim with their credit card - and attempt to get reimbursed that way - so she never has to pay out. I've filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau and the DC Office of Consumer Protection, and Fox5 is interested in doing a consumer alert on her/KidOvation Stage. I also reached out to someone who I was told is on the Board of Directors, and they relayed to me that they, and the Chair of the Board, have stepped down due to their concerns as a parent at the camp and also as a PTO president trying to bring KidOvation to their school for aftercare. Please stay away from this and don't find out the hard way, like all of us, that she owes thousands and thousands of dollars to. Note that there was also a recent lawsuit against her (https://trellis.law/doc/202584234/affirmation-default) and when I posted about it on a local parent group I heard from even more people that she owed money to. Update: Tsion also apparently contacts people and tells them her name is Becca and tries to resolve the issue and apologize on behalf of Tsion. But the two phone numbers are exactly the same. Also, the name of the camp used to be different (see Yelp entries below) and it appears they used to go by a different name and keep changing it). read more

Kidovation changed the location and itinerary of its summer camp 48 hours before my kids were supposed to start. That meant it no longer worked for our family. Kidovation offered a full refund and assured parents they would get 100% of their money back if they decided not to send their kids anymore. It's been two months, and I have not been refunded. I know there are at least 8 other families in the same boat. The owner has repeatedly offered dates when the money will come, and repeatedly missed them. There also appear to be lawsuits for larger amounts of money against her. Do not pursue this camp unless you're willing to lose all your money like I and so many others have. read more

After planning our summer camp plans months in advance, two days in, our toddler was uninvited from camp. In desperation, I sent a message to one of the Moms groups I follow on Facebook. A mom suggested KidOvation. From the first click on their website, I knew this would be the right place for our family. The diverse program offering, the convenient location and reasonable pricing were the highlights. The experienced, caring staff were the icing. I highly recommend KidOvation for winter break and summer camps.​ read more

We love Fit Kids Hit the StageCamp! We just signed up for our 4th summer. The program is fantastic, and I can't say enough good things about the instructors. Both our kids (age 5 and 8) love it and can't wait to go back. Also worth noting that they are great with my son who has autism, which is not the case with all camps. Amazing camp with caring, positive, supportive staff who truly understand young children. Kids are engaged and learning in a comfortable learning environment full of varied opportunities designed especially for young children.
