Idaho Falls Located in the center of town is a breathtakingly beautiful waterfall that feeds into the Snake River. We were just passing through on our way to Yellowstone, but ended up gazing at the waterfall for a good hour, if not longer! Had we known about this waterfall, we would've grabbed some sandwiches/cheese/crackers/fruits and have a romantic picnic alongside the waterfall, instead of stopping by a local restaurant. I'm very envious of the locals who live in the area. It's a beautiful place to take a long stroll in the morning and/or evening.

We passed through the towns to see the fall and it did not disappoint. The city well small has a lot of charm and Beauty. The river in the fall was a beautiful sight to hold. Glad we were able to come here and experience it.

Super cute town with a lovely green belt running along the Snake River. Elderberry bushes grow wild along the path! We watched some hunky cyclists hunched over expensive bikes and dudes racing jet skis down the Snake River. Typical Friday in Idaho Falls? Perhaps ;)

Nice Little Spot To Watch The Water Flow By Well maintained city center area where the river flows under some bridges and along a Japanese friendship garden. Some little eateries and other places scattered around. Easy Parking in this area. Good spot for some photos. The Snake River is the feature Idaho Falls as a city is built around. Nice spot for a walk on a date night.

I saw the falls! The falls are nice. Yelp has city hall as the location. The falls are actually located at the corner of Broadway and River Parkway. The falls are nice for some photos or a nice hike. The city itself is huge. They even have a Kohl's in this city. It's a great place to visit.

Idaho Falls is built around the Snake River and has beautiful falls to show off. When I was little the falls were natural and not man made. But as the years wore on the falls began to deteriorate. Sometime in the 80's I believe they revamped and made them man made. It all started with Taylor's Crossing which was a timber bridge across the snake river on the Montana trail at what is now Idaho Falls. Idaho Falls used to be know as Eagle Rock. Eagle Rock derived it's name form a small island in the snake river that was a nesting site for approximately 20 eagles. The name changed to Idaho Falls in 1891 Idaho Falls is home to INEL Idaho National Engineering Labs., and agriculture. Idaho Falls has some of the best 4th of July Fireworks this side of the Mississippi. https://idahobusiness.net/top-5-fourth-july-fireworks-shows-usa/

It's nice driving by Idaho Falls. It reminds me of a miniature Niagara Falls in Canada.

Most of the ones we have visited look like doggy prison, but not this one. At other shelters, all the dogs are in the same room and the barking gets so unbearable that you just want to leave. That's not how it is at the Snake River Animal Shelter. They have two separate rooms for the adult dogs, so even if most of the dogs are barking, there aren't enough that you get a migraine. What makes this place really stand out to me is that they have a room set up like a family's living room in which you can sit down, take the dog off the leash, and get to know it. The entire shelter feels very homey and I cannot say enough great things about the staff and volunteers there. UPDATE: It has been two weeks since we adopted our dog, and we just got a call from the shelter to see how things are going! We thought that was really nice that they are still concerned about our experience and how the dog is doing. As I said, the staff is amazing.

Geyser Park was one of the most fun and unexpected stops on our Idaho road trip! If you're driving…read morethrough Soda Springs, I highly recommend timing your visit for the top of the hour so you can watch the famous geyser erupt. We arrived just as the clock struck 4:00 p.m. and barely made it in time--it was the perfect welcome! Watching the geyser shoot high into the air was impressive, but what really surprised me was learning that it's the world's only captive geyser. Knowing it was accidentally created in 1937 while workers were drilling for hot water makes the story even more fascinating. The fact that it now erupts every hour on the hour makes it easy to plan your visit. One detail I almost overlooked was the incredible mineral buildup around the geyser. The railings and boardwalk are coated with thick mineral deposits that look soft and fuzzy from a distance, but they're actually rock hard. It's amazing to see how years of mineral-rich water have slowly transformed the area into something that almost looks otherworldly. The park is clean, well maintained, and completely free to visit. It's a quick stop, but it's packed with history, geology, and a genuinely unique experience you won't find anywhere else. If you're exploring southeastern Idaho, Geyser Park is absolutely worth adding to your itinerary! Check out our video on our socials @reessroots
