Thay have always been professional and demonstarted great expertise. I totally trust them and believe their fees are reasonable. We have used other accountants and we believe we get a better value and service with C H Wells. In the years we have been using them we have made several important business decisions such as bringing in a partner and selling a business. She has helped us every step of the way and always provided excellent advice. I understand that tax season is a very busy time, but our taxes have always been done on time, even when I have been slow to provide the needed information. I have used other tax accountants and in my experience C H Wells is excellent.

She also informed me that her hourly rate was somewhere in the range of $130 - $140. Once all the work was complete, they sent an invoice for more than double the amount they estimated and threatened not to submit my taxes before the due date which would incur additional fees for me (and they would probably charge some additional random fee). I was also informed that the hourly rate was nearly double what I was told of $270/hr (Or at least is deemed to be so at the time the invoice was created) I did sign a contract stating that they work hourly however, in the contract, there is no mention of what the hourly rate is. So from a legal standpoint I did not agree to any rate and certainly not to $270/hr. I would never have agreed to work with this company if I was told the rate was $270/hr. Throughout the process, there was no point in which she indicated how many hours or even that there were any additional hours spent than would total the estimated amount. Upon receiving the invoice of more than double the estimate, I requested an itemized report of the work that was done and how much time it took. I have so far requested this twice. Both requests have been entirely ignored. As far as I'm concerned, this is highly unethical, highly unprofessional, and quite possibly illegal given there was no hourly rate in the contract and the hourly rate charged was double what I was originally told. Tax payers be warned...

Carol has been holding it down for well over 20 years .. yeah it's uncomfortable and sucks when you gotta pay taxes but that isn't their fault !! If you come here give them chance be patient and if you need assistance they'll help you .. so let's all relax and on the one star reviews and be more of a star ourselves when we go there..

They told them one fee and notice a change. Instead of calling to tell him they notice a change and would he like them to continue they just completed it not giving him the option to say move forward or just can I get my return. A CPA sopose to communicate before and not after. They finished his return and stated to him they saw changes and he need to pay x amount of more dollars in order to get his information. Hundreds more!!! All I know is taking advantage of my young son just because you notice he made pretty good on his taxes want happen again. I want be referring no friends or family again to this firm bec they seem like they all about making money only. A true CPA would of communicated about the change not after but before and give the consumer option to pay for what they completed or to move forward.
