I went in a few weeks ago to get work done and scheduled another appointment after. I was going on vacation so I scheduled it for when I got back. Something came up so I can't come in, I called the number for the Allen location to see if I need to reschedule. I called the number 4 times not once did it get picked up. I left a voicemail telling them to call my number back. Never got a call back. It's been about a week and still not a word from them. Horrible communication and customer service. The dentist there also is not good at communicating. Every time I had something done she would just leave the room right after. Other than asking if I felt any pain/discomfort not a word. If something that I need to know did come up she would tell her assistant then the assistant would tell me. I had a terrible service when I visit this dentistry. I had a need to visit a dentistry with a purpose to fill 1 cavity that has fell off and one that has discoloration. The office offering $19 first time visit with x-ray, this is a tactic to lure and trick customers. When I got there, they told me to fill out the online form that requesting name, address, phone, email, birthday AND social security number. I have never been asked by medical service provider for my social security number, this is the first. It seems like they are trying to police customers which is a red flag. After xray is done, the dentist said that I have total of 4 cavities but only shown me 1 tooth he thinks it has cavity (per the dentist the sign for cavity is the darken underneath in X-ray. However, there was no pain prior to my visit). The dentist did not show me the other 3 teeth he claimed that have cavities. He rushes me into treatment and for I never had experience this kind of situation before, I place my trust in him and agree to pay for the treatments and proceed with the process. It is very expensive for me because I had to everything out of Pocket, total of 6 fillings and X-ray plus consultation. After the treatment, I had terrible toothaches. I looked at the teeth the doctor has filled and saw the dark color there, I think that the cavities were not completely removed. It appears that the dentist drilled the part that doesn't have cavities and filled in and left the part that has cavity untouched. Another tooth in the back the dentist left a whole quite deep after drill and did not fill it in and this one causing pain as well. I was having to deal with the pain throughout my cruise trip and was unable to eat during my vacation. I had to put up with the pain for 10 days straight until I got back in town. There were other 3 teeth the dentist recommended filling that had no cavity and I had to issue with them. The dentist said that there was cavities in them but did not show me in the X-ray, now I'm doubted his honesty and I'm so upset that I had paid for a very expensive price for the dentist to ruin my teeth. Friends, If you were told there is any cavity, just make sure the dentist show it to you and explained why he said so without trusting him blindly like me. We all need to look out and avoid terrible dentistry like this one. I came back to the dental office and complained, the dentist apologized and fixed my teeth, so planned to let it go and not to post this review, but now, I have decided to post it up to help consumers like myself. 2 days after my 2nd visit to this office, 1 filling came off and the front tooth has worked out excessively filed down that is not matching up with the other one. I called and requested the office to refund my money or at least partial of it due to the fact they ruined teeth and cause me pain and suffering; of course they had refused and wanted me to come back but I cannot trust them anymore to drill deeper into my teeth. This place is terrible in my opinion. Do not come here. I found much better dentistry in Frisco and also in Plano. I want to post their dentistry here but I'm not sure if I'm suppose to do it. Good luck everyone with your teeth, just be picky and be aware, donlt trust anyone easily like me, just because they are dentist, they may not have good skills or maybe unethical to have more business down the road. read more

Got a return call from the manager claiming it would be sent before 5. Never received. Text corporate again before closing, told would be sent. It's 5:11 pm and they're closed. No email. My filling fell out so I went to Ideal Dentist in Allen. I had no insurance so when they told me they couldn't fill it as the hole was too big because a piece had chipped off & I needed a crown, I said I could pay half now & the other half on the day of treatment. They tried to sell me the in house dental plan. I declined so they went back & forth with the manager to see if they could give me "a deal". In the end, the price came down but still wanted it up front. I left after paying for X-rays. I decided to get my own dental plan & went to another dentist as I had lost my trust with Ideal from the whole experience of the "bargaining of the price" plus I did not see the chip that had supposedly broken. The new dentist said he could fill the tooth without any problem. In the end, I saved a ton of money but still forked out the $189 to join the dental plan which was not needed as well as another set of X-rays. Ideal did email the X-rays but the pics were bad quality & unreadable. The whole experience was awful! read more

Dr. Moon and his entire staff are some of the friendliest people! Our entire family are his patients. They were able to see my husband recently for a dental emergency, and took great care of him. All four of my kids (ages 4-10) absolutely love Dr. Moon and the staff. They explain every procedure so well that it removes any fear, and they've always had some of the other kids 'help' during procedures on their siblings. Thanks to this office, no one in my family fears the dentist, and I even catch them playing 'dentist' at home... performing procedures and instructing each other on the correct way to brush and floss! This dentist office is amazing. Not something people usually say about a dentist. My original dentist retired several years ago and I have been in need of a new one. My wife saw this place and suggested we go there. So happy she did. Nhung did my cleaning and I have to say it is the best I have ever had. Went to my appointment today, was checked in and serviced extremely quickly. The dental hygienist Young and Dr. Moon where very professional, and answered all my questions. Also, the front desk associate Taylor pit forth extra effort in getting my dental insurance to accept and bill the office. This was great since my plan is from a unknown insurance provider and getting dental offices to work with them is like pulling teeth. Dr. Moon and his dental assistants are fine. Office staff is pleasant, although cancel your "confirmed appointment", without letting you know. Billing, fraudulent. Place services and billing codes that were not performed. Do not provide itemized receipts. Fortunately, they requested more money, after I had paid, and since I did not have anything itemized, I referred to my online EOB, finding that billing and that which was paid by myself and insurance company, included services that were not done nor needed, as told to me during my visits. Sadly, they ignore it. Reporting to BBB, TDI, TDA, and all agencies required or permitted. Not fair to consumers. read more

I have extremely sensitive teeth and needed to find a new dentist. I was really happy with my experience at Ideal. They were very understanding and sensitive to my pain. They were gentle and kept checking in with me to make sure that I wasn't experiencing any discomfort. It was nice to not feel like just another number but an actual person. The dentist gave me a topical treatment to use at home. After I left I had several questions on how to use it so I called the office, which was closed. They were still able to get me some answers and help me. I really appreciated them going the extra mile to help me. I would certainly recommend Ideal to anyone looking for a good dentist. read more

I was their singing praises at first too, until the dental work just didn't hold up. My crown broke within the first year of him putting it in and that is ridiculous! I worked so hard to get good benefits to be able to fix my teeth. Don't waste your time you're better off at the Baylor School of dentistry ......my dental work held up so much better . I tried calling and left a message but no one called me back and honestly I don't want any one in that office touching my mouth again. I'm so disappointed.I considered small claims court but just got caught up in life and could not come back and tell them how wrong they were for doing crap work using crap material an overall just not being conscientious enough and now I'm suffering the consequences less than 2 years later. So it's all I can do is say find another dentist. I've read reviews where they double bill they do shady financial type of maneuvers but I don't know about that all I know is about how all the work that he did needs to be we visited in my mouth and I had two root canals . One side of my mouth now is unstable and unhealthy material used to fill in is chipping away and now I'm going to have to get it done again . what an inconvenience to my life. it just pains me to now have to get it done again! Worst worst dental experience ever, they are scams, bunch of robbers who wants to steal money away from you. I would never write reviews but this time I cant hold it in anymore. I had cigna dental insurance which covered all dental expenses, they told me I would only pay 300 for bridge, then it went up to 1000. I paid 1000 upfront now they sent 849 dollar to collection without even sending me a bill of 849 dollars first. When you contact them they tell you they will look in to it and call you back but never do so. And suddenly they send you to collection? They are very irresponsible, this is the first and last time I will deal with bunch of irresponsible people. Do no go here, you will be paying extra for no reason. I feel like this operation is a ripoff! 9/4/2014, I spent $700.00 for a 'plan' for my family for cleanings and ALL cavities filled that the office said my kids had. As they explained it, I understood that fillings would warranted for three years if I signed up for their 'plan'. To boot, I purchased Metrocare dental plan. Today my daughter goes in for her 6 month appointment for cleaning. Just 6 months since her last full exam, she has three new cavities! They said one was a filling from a prior dentist that had fallen out. They would fix it, they said, and the price is $800, but since I'm so special and I have their 'plan', they would only charge me $400. The other two fillings were about $130 each. I get the feeling that they are going to find something wrong every time we visit. And I don't appreciate the pricing scheme that treats me like I'm an idiot. $800 for a filling, really? But hey, 50% off, so you are getting a great deal! This all happened on the phone, my daughter is 17 and drove herself to the appointment. I told the office to just clean her teeth and send her home, that I would find a dentist that didn't play these pricing games. When my daughter came home she told me after they hung up the phone with me, they started in on her with statements like 'well, I know your parents are paying for this, but it's your teeth. If you don't fix it you could end up having your teeth extracted, etc etc.'. Now that was second hand/repeated from a 17 year old. But she felt like they were working her over. Rather than deal with high pressure sales tactics and astronomical prices (marked down to very very high prices) my other two kids and myself have not gone in for our next cleaning, what would they come up with? Find a dentist who is willing to charge you a fair price for services as you need them rather than buying a 'plan' that I feel is constructed to benefit the business rather than the customer. read more
