Maria is completely unprofessional and rude. my friend made an appointment with weeks if not months in advance and the office (I'm assuming Maria) failed to notify her that the office cancelled her appointment. Furthermore, as this is a medical office, I was appalled to hear that Maria was also argumentative and anything but accommodating for her errors. When I first starting coming here I would have given this place 5 stars. 5 min from my home, Saturday appointments, friendly staff, less than 30 min wait in the waiting room to be called back, and accommodating. The last 2 visits has been a disappointment due to cancelling my Saturday appts either the week of or the day before. I understood because they informed me that they would not have a doctor in on that Saturday. When it came to reschedule it was placed either on another Saturday that month or the next. Then I notice the initial dentist I saw no longer works there so that was a bummer. The icing on the cake was for my current appointment that was scheduled for this month. I always have them book my 6 month appointment before I leave the dentist and then I put it on my calendar. The month of March rolls around and I see my phone ring and caller ID says ideal dental. My initial thought " oh lord are they going to cancel my appt again!?". Sure enough that was the case. I understand things come up in people's lives but it seems to be a very consistent habit with Saturday appts and the next available Saturday wasn't until may! She was like sorry our Saturdays fill up fast and I'm like will I booked my 6 months ago!. I tell her I specifically do Saturday appointments because my job is an hour or so commute for me to get home. I booked for the reschedule to be in May and the lady on the phone informed me that if I have a weekday available to give them a call back. Now, come on...if you advertise Saturday appointments then they should be available. I shouldn't have the thought when I book my Saturday appointment that we will see when the time comes if I get to go on my scheduled Saturday or I get a call to reachedule. It's a hassle to take a weekday off for me to make a dentist appointment. Might be time to shop around for another dental place. read more

Let me preface this and say this review is solely on the orthodontic team and NOT on the general dentist. My son was seen June 12th and they told him they had no notes from his previous visit to view and didn't know what to do AFTER they took off his rubber bands, so they did a retie just so they'd have something to charge. The orthodontist did not come in to see my son. I waited until the next day for the "office manager" Martin to call me, this is also the same guy who supposedly scheduled a previous appointment for us but magically it was never scheduled. When Martin called me he was very defensive that the team did not say they didn't know what treatment to give my son. When I questioned the treatment and then asked for the financial statements of what they have charged to me and to insurance he told me he couldn't email them because he wasn't in office and he'd have them in two months when we are scheduled. We chose Ideal Dental because we love the Dentist and their staff but the Ortho team has a long way to go for customer service, communication, and maybe even management. Currently researching for new ortho team that accepts in progress patients. read more

the codes this office are using are very controversial ; nowhere on my 3 visits last year was it coded for just a routine cleaning D1110 ; i should have know something was up when the dentist comes in to clean instead of a dental hygienist; the front desk check out employee is VERY RUDE! my last appt i asked to buy the teeth whitener, she failed to give it to me before i left and then had the audacity to hand me two syringes when i went in today to pick it up ... no bag, no box ... how do i know if they are what i paid for and where they came from? then they handed me a baggie to put them in; also at last visit in Feb 2024, I was told i owed over $200 for my visit in March 2023 .. no calls, no bills in the mail prior which then prompted me to start questioning their billing; got copies all all my EOBs and went in prepared to discuss which she knew I was going to do; so when i went to get explanation today, she did NOT take me in a private place to discuss, we had to discuss at front desk; when i questioned her about the billing, she told me their high prices were the "negotiated" rate w insurance company for which i corrected her and showed her on the billing that the negotiated rate was a different column ... for which she began to get VERY IRRITATED and DEFENSIVE which in my experience means the person is not educated on insurance billing AND should NOT be discussing it w patients OR she is uncomfortable with the billing. When i asked about certain items on the billing she said "oh it insurance doesn't pay we just take it off the bill". I would say that's fraudulent billing and w my knowledge of medicine ... this just may be a very serious problem ; DO NOT PAY anything until you look at the codes of that billing will be submitted AND make sure the codes they are submitting are covered under your plan! this is an in network office on my dental plan so i shouldn't have had to be concerned; I will never go back again and will certainly warn my neighbors and friends in the area of my concerns ; whoever owns this place best be aware that i will be reporting this to the dental board; oh and owner so you know, the last time i was being taken to my exam room one of your employees was sitting in the chair and another standing in the room watching the TV I suppose ... they jumped up and out when we got to the area ... also very unprofessional read more

The dentist, hygienists and most staff are very friendly, however some of the front desk staff are pretty rude. Today I had to cancel an appointment for my daughter which I stated politely, to which the staff member responded "ooooookk(?)...long pause....is there a reason?" I said she had another appointment and would run late. I asked about the grace period for late patients (I assumed 15 minutes) and she snapped back "actually it's 10 minutes and I just confirmed this with her yesterday" with a very angry/annoyed tone. I later learned that my daughter had a few short notice cancellations as she manages her own appointments for her invisilign (this was for cleaning I had scheduled for her). They have every right to charge a cancellation fee or even decline further services to her but it is just bad business to talk to patients and families this way. We are their customers and they are still in the service business! I had an upcoming appointment with them myself which I've now cancelled. Once my daughter's invisilign is done we will all be finding a new dentist. read more

No issue with the dentists. Cleanings were adequate, imaging was done and insurance covered the regular checkups. The estimates for extra work have been inaccurate both times so I had to call for refunds. And now, they just canceled our end of year appointments for me and my daughter with 2 days notice saying they overbooked. We had the appointments for 6 months and now there is no time to reschedule and have them done in 2018. So, no, not feeling really cared about right now so won't be calling back to reschedule and won't be having anything else done at this location. Update: So just got another message saying they do still have our appointments, sorry for the confusion. So I called and said, Um, no, this same thing happened a couple months ago with my other daughters appointment and I can't deal with that kind of stuff, so no, we don't have appointments. I'm religious about keeping a calendar and don't like feeling like I have to be a squeaky wheel to get and keep a regular appointment. It's ridiculously poor front desk service, no matter how politely one speaks. Update #2 - just received the office's "we understand" note, so much BS. We went to another dentist last week who has been in the area for a couple of decades and was recommended by neighbors. There were no cavities noted or other work recommended for either of us. Why is this significant? Because the dentists at this place recommended thousands of dollars of work between us. Never going back! read more

I'm so relieved to finally be done with these folks. I've been going here to this location for almost two years and I'd like to give an honest review to save others the time and money. At first, they were super polite and sweet. I was naive and never asked questions so it was quite easy for them to deal with me. After I was done paying for everything within a year, that's when things started to change. They hold you accountable for being late to an appointment but constantly had to reschedule me throughout the course of a year due to their own issues. Front desk had me scheduled back to back two different days, called me a week before to tell me that the Dr. wasn't going to be available for one of the days and I can combine my appointments into ONE. I get a call back a day before my appointment from Chris and he gives me an attitude about their system being correct and that I was supposed to come in for both days. We were literally yelling at each other over the phone because he wouldn't stop to let me talk. Never apologized or took responsibility. Just blamed me. I lost my retainer and had to get them replaced, which is my fault. But it took them two months to get me in for a new mold because they kept rescheduling and they don't keep the original molds. My teeth has permanently shifted and I feel like I spent all that money for braces for nothing. When I finally come in for the mold, they mess up and have me come back the next morning to remake them again. The girl that made them; after realizing my new retainer didn't fit properly she asked me, "do you have your other pair?" I said "no I have my bleaching trays?" And she was basically arguing with me saying "no I thought I made you another pair of retainers?" I almost blurted out "I wouldn't be in here if that was the case and spending another $250. What sense does that make to you?" And lastly, twice this happened but I get a call saying that I have a $300 dollar credit. I asked "how?" And they said "oh your insurance overpaid." No explanation other than that until I got to talk to their regional manager for a full print out. I don't normally care to write such detailed reviews, especially a negative one. When my initial impressions weren't up to par, Dr. E called me in again to make sure my Invisalign trays would provide the smile I wanted.
